This home is easy to access in the flat area overlooking the French Broad River valley with a beautiful view of the mountains beyond. No mountain roads to navigate, and easy to get into the house, up just a couple of steps to the front porch.
It's only about an eight minute drive to downtown Brevard where you will find a wonderful assortment of shops, restaurants, museums and breweries. Come and visit the Porter Center at Brevard College for musical and other events, and check out Brevard Music Center for the Mountain Song Festival and lots of wonderful concerts during the summer months.
This area is a haven for cyclists and you will find miles of great roads for biking. If you want some off-road action, there are lots of opportunities for mountain biking as well. There is secure storage in the garage for your bikes and gear, and there's even a bike rack if you need to do some bike maintenance.
Brevard is home to lots of waterfalls and is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway where you can enjoy biking, hiking and scenic drives. There are plenty of opportunities for camping, sightseeing, kayaking, fishing, rock climbing and other outdoor activities. Be sure to take a day trip to the Biltmore Estate and spend a day in Asheville. Hendersonville and Asheville are both only about a 40 minute drive.
