Peaceful solitude & access to local attractions (including the Allegheny River within a short walking distance) make this the perfect getaway for rest & relaxation. A large, fenced-in kennel and pet-friendly home interior provides the confidence of knowing your furry friends are taken care of--because you can bring'em with you! With two bedrooms, large couch, and fireplaces both outside & in, this cottage is picture-perfect cozy captivation! ***While we do allow up to 6 guests to stay at this location, it only comfortably sleeps 4. We list 6 because we have guests who like to pitch a tent in the secluded back yard or put an air mattress in the living room. There are only two beds.***

We booked the cottage last minute on our way to the east coast after our previously booked lodging cancelled. The owner was quick to respond and the property worked perfect for our needs. It was a nice place to relax for the evening and get some sleep before we got back on the road. The kennel was also great for the dogs after a long day in the car!
We did note there is one panel shorter than the rest right along the dog house structure. We were only there for one night and didn't look around much, so may have totally missed a panel that could go there, but it's something that may be worth asking about for those staying longer than we did with bigger dogs or those that are jumpers.
Thanks again for the great stay!

Only real complaint was the air conditioner. So loud.
Great cottage for our stay. Loved the style and comfort. Perfect location! The hosts even managed to get us in way before check in time. Truly appreciated.
Overall great weekend. It was everything I would expect of a cozy cabin. Host was very informative and communicated well. Five stars.

This property was just what I needed. It was beautiful inside and out. I was able to work from the property and enjoy nature at the same time. I plan on returning to enjoy the property again for another season.
The cottage was clean. Shower was awesome! It is a small house but we found everything we needed. We went biking hiking and canoeing. It was a lovely long weekend
Perfectly comfortable for a couple or small family.
This cottage was perfectly comfortable for my boyfriend and I. It was clean and well stocked. It would be well suited for a small family but not really more than that as you have to go through one bedroom to get to the other. The water pressure in the shower was wonderful! How do I get that at home? It is a perfect place if you want to “unplug.” There is zero cell service in the area so the provided WiFi was a life saver. Let everyone know you may be unreachable during your stay. We weren’t quite prepared for the remoteness of the area but still very much enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage near the river. We explored the area, went to the waterfall, the bike trail tunnels, Drake's Well and attended church there. The dogs loved their stay and the A/C. While the bed was super comfy-it sits up really high. Everything was there that we needed or could have wanted. Everyone was super friendly when we walked the dogs in the neighborhood.
Stayed here while visiting family in the area & it was great to be able to bring our dogs along. The fenced area in the backyard is a very nice amenity. The house is clean & well-appointed with anything you might need. The water pressure in the shower is AMAZING! One bed is super soft & the other sits up high & is more firm, but both were comfortable. As it says in the ad, you walk through one bedroom to get to the other, which didn’t bother us at all. We will definitely see if this place is available the next time we’re traveling to the area.
The beds were very comfortable. Great weekend get away to hang out with our former grad school roommate (best man at our wedding/ godfather to our kid, family). I wish we had realized the two bedrooms were connected in the manner they were, it was a little awkward. Otherwise it was lovely, thank you so much!

Not what we expected
We were definitely maxed out with 4 bodies, I don’t know how you’d sleep 6 in this house. We were under the impression the pictures that listed “on property” meant that the sites were on our property; Had to drive for any activities so we didn’t trespass private land. Dropped sunglasses while preparing lunch at the counter, had to stick my hand through spider webs to get them from the floor. Broken patio was all over the outside. I don’t consider us picky but what we spent vs. the house, was shameful, we left a day early.

The cottage was fully stocked with all the essentials.
There was nothing to do around the cottage. Couldn't get to the river, no internet service, no signs marking where attractions are located.
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage overall, it was clean and nicely furnished. The bathroom was nicely updated, with great water pressure, and a nice tub/shower combo. The captive bedroom was a surprise, although not a problem. Also, the mattresses and the arrangement of the larger bed were not ideal. We slept in the queen bed, and it was arranged so that I had to climb over my spouse to get into bed, and I tend to have trouble sleeping anyway. And the full size beds mattress was saggy and uncomfortable, even though it had a topper on it. It would have also been nice to have night tables, and lamps in the bedrooms and living room. But all in all, it is a nice place.
Overall a cute little cottage with the basic necessities. TBH, Would have been 5 stars had we not been forced to be in a sauna each night.
The owner was very responsive, until we had an issue with it being over 90 degrees out with 95% humidity over Labor Day, and the furnace running all night, making the bedrooms oppressively hot! We initially thought the hot bedrooms was just due to no ac back there and not enough circulation.
However, much to our dismay, the furnace was programmed to kick on at 69 degrees!! So every night, when we turn window ac unit down to cool the house, we woke up sweating and unable to sleep because of it. There is no cell service, so no way to call anyone. I emailed Vrbo to beg them to please turn the furance off, or tell us how to, but got no response.
One friend left the day before my Bday because there was no where comfortable to sleep. We huddled in the livingroom with dogs panting from the furnace running. It was cooler outside than in bedrooms, but we didn’t pack our tents. We eventually figured out how to override the temp settings and that’s how we knew it was set at 69 degrees.
Unfortunately, we only had one night with pleasant sleep after figuring out how to stop the furnace. Will never understand why it was ever on in the first place when it’s clearly summer temperatures, let alone a heat wave over 90 degrees each day. Definitely ruined my Bday, and our plans, because we were exhausted from no sleep
