About this property

Octagon Cabin on the Canoochee River

This is an Octagon shaped cabin on the banks of theCanoochee River. It has a king-size bed in the only bedroom. The huge deck and the gathering area under the cabin is one of the most favored features. I has another one bedroom cabin beside it. AIso, I like the fact of the river's edge having a steady slope to it. This makes it easier for "little people" to enjoy the water. Kayaks are there for your pleasure.
The river continues to rise and lower very quickly. When it is high, kayaking is out of this world. If it is too high, your trip will get altered. You will receive a refund.
However, sometimes it is very low. During this time the fishing is great.
The access roads are not "county maintained". You will travel down 1.5 miles of dirt roads. However, my compact car handles it well. You will find it worth the bumpy ride!
Your vehicle will be dusty on a dry day and muddy on a rainy day. You will not escape with a clean vehicle.
Kayaks are available for your enjoyment.
No pets due to allergies.
No firearms
No smoking/vaping inside cabin.
The river is unpredictable. If it rises to the point of limit access, you will be contacted and given full refund. Winter months are currently unavailable. Upon request, the host will release winter dates.
This is located in a remote area. It will be just you and nature! This is a narrow river with stumps, therefore, only a "small" boat with a trolling motor can be used. This is also sometimes limited. This river is not adequate for jet ski, motor boat, etc. Also, in late summer the river is so low, kayaking becomes more work than pleasure.
A total of 4 cabins and one yurt are owned by Kimberly. These are located in various locations along the river.

Provided bath linens are one set per guest (one bath towel and one wash cloth).
Cleaning fee has not been charged/transferred to guest. Therefore, guest are expected to leave the cabin as received.
It is a simple life. Guest whom are looking for the "resort" experience will be disappointed. White glove and high maintenance guest will not be content.

Country cabin

Great for what we needed. Stayed in this location due to a family wedding. Dirt roads were interesting, but it added it to the Adventure. On the river was great and very peaceful.

Beautiful spot on the river. Cabin was comfortable and clean. The river was too low to kayak. Drive into cabin is tricky but owners provided good directions. Road and driveway are very rough. A car could make it back but would recommend a truck or suv with some clearance underneath.
