Great Kitchen, Nice Pool

This rental is decent for the price. We enjoyed the privacy and location. The pool was a little dirty when we arrived there, but we cleaned it up. The pool cleaning machine was going all weekend during the day. Which was fine, as there was only 2 adults, but I could see how that could be an issue if you had kids wanting to play. The inside is pretty well kept, the Master Bed was pretty uncomfortable, with a VERY prominent hump in the middle. There is a separate thermostat for the Master, which was a huge bonus. The house was set at 91 degrees when we arrived, so it took a really long time to cool down! It was HOT unpacking. The outside could definitely use to be cleaned up. Lots of spider webs with dead leaves on the patio, which kept blowing into the pool. If they even just sprayed it down with a hose every few weeks, it would help a lot. There was a very full scorpion sticky pad in the hall between the master and the main living area (it’s an addition) which was creepy. It also made us hyper aware to look out for scorpions, so maybe that’s a good thing! All in all, the rental was nice. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend. They had some board games, like Yahtzee that we played too. The pool light at night was flickering, which made swimming at night difficult. Pool does get WARM during the day, but that’s to be expected, as we went in late June. You can tell the owners try to do a good job taking care of the place, and the cleanup we had to do was minimal

Beautiful house and surrounding area, one small exception.

The over property is beautiful and spacious. The 2 main rooms in the house large and very accommodating, the 1 small room is good for 2 teenager who are friends. The property owner answered the phone immediately when I called. The only small exception to an overall wonderful experience is a few unwanted pests in the house, nothing a good extermination couldn't handle. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to experience good Texas country living. P.S. you might see some deer and rabbits on the property as we did.

Second stay - great place!

This was our second year to vacation here and it was just as good as the first! The property is clean and spacious, and the property manager is very nice to work with. We like the location because it is private, yet it does not feel like you are completely away from humanity altogether since the highway is nearby. We find the highway noise somewhat comforting, but there are no neighbors right next to you while you're enjoying the pool or cooking out. For us, that is a perfect combination. It is in the country so we did see a few bugs, but that is to be expected and especially in the heat of the summer. The pool was clean and it is a good size for floating and throwing pool toys around. We enjoyed our stay here and may even look to return next year!

Better than what's picture.

The house was perfect for our family of 12. Had looked around for a house that would let us all stay together. The host was very nice and accommodated us. He was also very responsive and helpful. Do wish there where more kicthen utensils and more pots and pans as well as a mini leaf blower to blow the leaves off the pool area. Other than that the stay was perfect! We will definitely book again.

Fathers Day Getaway

It is not often my husband I have time to relax, especially together. We both work long hours, 6 days a week, as do our children. This makes family time very difficult, especially being miles from each other. We invited the kids out for dinner and a swim. Everyone was smiling and laughing the entire time. Son's 1st Birthday Went Perfect

We booked this location to celebrate our son's first birthday. The house and pool is amazing, a well as the property. It was big enough to hold the party for everyone, the pool was great and temperature warm, and everything went smoothly. The host was responsive and up front about every detail that made the process easy and stress free. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Beautiful home, but traffic noise

Very clean inside and I'm extremely picky! Great kitchen w/sufficient pots and pans (but if you plan to cook/bake specific things I would message and ask about kitchen items. No serving bowls, etc. supplied). Pool was closed but grandkids still had fun running around in backyard. Wonderful patio area. Grill had a burner that didn't work but 3 burners did and we could grill. The yard is not fenced as listed online. There's barbwire fence along the drive and boundary, but not a yard fence with a gate to get in and out of. It may sit on 20 acres but I don't think one is allowed access to the pasture, like to take walks. I suggest asking about that if you want to stroll on property in the country. My 2 star location is because it sits just off Hwy 287 which is VERY busy and NOISY almost 24 hrs. We went for a wedding and the location was perfect logistically and the house was great. Much better than a hotel! Just a note-The large closet and office are off of the master bedroom-something I didn't realize. The smallest of the 3 bdrms has a closet and a futon with trundle bed. Host was most responsive and helpful.

Birthday weekend

This is a beautiful home in a country setting. Very roomy with comfortable beds and extremely clean.The large bedroom suite is stunning. I’m we had a small gathering one evening and the host offered to set up tables and chairs for us The pool area and outdoor kitchen tea is very nice with lots of room and there is also a fire pit area with chairs. Will be back again!

Really was a cool experience for our family.

House is really unique and was fun to explore itself. We enjoyed our time at the cottage. We only marked it down slightly because although it’s a large property there is a horse occupying the large field. There is also someone that stays at the property in an RV. Just a couple things that should be in the description in our opinion. Host was incredibly responsive and we would recommend the spot to others.

Roomy with a Clean Pool

Excellent all around!

This place was perfect for a summer vacation! The pool was very relaxing, with the sounds of the fountains giving a nice ambiance. Given the Texas heat, you can swim well into the evening. The pool was very large and extremely clean for a country setting. The outdoor area was great for grilling and eating outside. The inside of the house was spacious and also very well kept. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was clean. The property owner was easy to work with and very quick to respond, although we didn't have any issues. We are hoping to make it back next summer!

Weekend getaway.

Such a beautiful and relaxing home. The house was very calming and relaxing with so much to see, you have the beautiful swimming pool and the longhorns outside your window. My family truly had an amazing experience.

Relaxing Getaway Location

This is a great spot not far from Decatur. There are two king beds, which I don’t often find but appreciate, which is wonderful for us traveling with my aunt and uncle. The home has obviously been remodeled recently and they did a wonderful job on the finishes and choices in comfortable furniture. The pool was the highlight of our stay and how we spent every morning and every evening. My 4 year old loves to swim, so we always try to book houses with pools and this one was the nicest we have seen in a VRBO home. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay. We will definitely book again when we are in the area.

Lovely Oasis

Property was great, it was Very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The outdoor pool area was lovely. The house is nice to spend time with family but spacious enough for folks to have time in their own as well. The host was quick to respond and ready to help at any time. Beautiful property!

My family and I spent the weekend at this beautiful property, and we cannot wait to go back! The home is spacious and updated, has an amazing pool, and the morning sunrise is divine. The kitchen is sparsely supplied, so bring your coffee maker, cooking pans, and grill supplies. There are several stores nearby where you can get pool floats, groceries, etc. I definitely recommend staying here!
