When you're within walking distance of the Gulf of Mexico and Little Lagoon, beach life comes easily. Make a splash in your brand-new private pool, then rejuvenate in the bubbling hot tub. Two floors of decks and a fabulous outdoor patio offer plenty of space for your group to spread out. Have fun grilling out on the back deck, or walk to the local ice cream shop for a delicious treat.

The full kitchen features full-size appliances and helpful cooking tools if you prefer to cook. Enjoy meals at the dining table, or grab a seat at the breakfast bar if you're heading out to the beach. The private washer/dryer will take care of the swimsuits, and central air-conditioning will help everyone settle in comfortably. Board games are provided for evenings together. The home also features TVs equipped with Roku or YouTube TV in bedrooms for entertainment.

All TVs have YTTV with live channels, and other streaming services are available with guests' accounts.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Great stay

House was better than the pictures. Took us about 5 minutes walking to get to the beach. The check in process and check out process was very easy and there was no problems. Overall very great stay and we will be back.

Frustrating

We lost a whole day dealing with Vacasa and its local associates. Our house was not cleaned upon arrival. We waited 4 hours in the cold for it to be cleaned. When the local people finished cleaning we had no blankets to sleep with the first night. We waited til noon the next day to receive them. We spent several hours making phone calls and going to the local Vacasa to speak with someone. We did get reimbursed for the cleaning fee and one night but the experience left a lot to be desired and I don’t think we will use Vacasa again. This is disappointing to me and my family as we plan on making this trip over chat new tradition.

Overall, we had a good stay. Loved having the pool. Lots of stairs!!! The hot tub was not clean or in working order when we arrived. By the time someone came to fix it, we were not able to use it due to a storm that rolled in. They could use a blind on the kitchen window for sure! Had several lightbulbs out and a slow drain in one of the bathrooms downstairs. Smoke alarm is sensitive and went off several times cooking breakfast one morning. Need more instruction on the front door lock for exiting. Good location and the Beach House restaurant around the corner was very handy. The food was good and we visited several times. Have rented from Vacasa in years past and never had to call with any issues. This one was just a little different. Only minor things! We had a great family trip

Great house! Pool and hot tub was loved by kids and adults. Area downstairs was awesome. Enjoyed staying downstairs after coming in from beach. Picnic tables, tv and lots of space for the kids to play. We had a great stay, thank you!

Perfect Fall Break Getaway!!

Listen!!!! This house was beyond exceptional! The pool,hot tub,and propane grill all added a special touch to the house. The house had board games and pool essentials. The 5 minute walk to the beach was perfect for us seasoned adults 😂. I could go on and on but needless to say…. Everyone (ages 6yrs- 60yrs) enjoyed their stay here in this spacious beach house!

Maintenance Needed

Property was fine. Many light bulbs out. Pool was filthy when we arrived. Pool cleaner never showed up. Had to clean the pool with beach toys. Refrigerator was leaking water. Hot tub jets only worked on one side. Annoying motion light in the patio. Outdoor shower head needs replaced. First Keurig coffee maker wasn’t working. Luckily, there weren’t two of them. Couch was dirty. Damage to a few lamps. Water filter on fridge needed replaced. Last night at the house the lights in the kitchen wouldn’t turn on at all. Many basic maintenance issues that need addressed. Contacted Vacasa the property manager multiple times and they said they would send out a local team member. No one ever came to address the problems. Location of the property is great, but the property manager, Vacasa is pretty much nonexistent. Be prepared to perform the maintenance yourself during your stay. Very frustrating. Recommend not renting a property managed by Vacasa.

The location of this house is great! The house was very comfortable for our family and we enjoyed our vacation. Pool was great although the water was very warm by the end of the week. The walk to the beach is short and we took advantage of the nearby restaurant, ice cream shop, seafood shop, and convenience store. Some recommendations would be an umbrella by the pool, additional seating in the living room with tables and lamps(we love to read!), and a small table with chairs for puzzles(we ended up designating a portion of the kitchen counter for our tradition of completing a jigsaw puzzle on vacation). The only downside to this house was the very sensitive smoke detectors which went off EVERY time we cooked or even used the toaster. They were chirping when we got there and Vacasa sent someone the next day to change the batteries but they went off all week long. We managed but it was annoying since we like to buy fresh seafood and cook it ourselves. We ended up eating out much more frequently. I recommend bringing blankets since there aren’t any available besides what is on the beds. After spending the day in the sun some of us were chilly in the house but if you turned up the temperature others were too warm.

Loved our stay!

This home was in a very quiet community and was a very short walk to the beach. The pool and hot tub were an added bonus. The water in the pool was hot but when it’s 95 and sunny every day, it’s to be expected. I would recommend this home and will return in the future.

Family Trip

My husband and I along with my parents and 4 children age 16-21 enjoyed a wonderful week here! Comfortable beds with plenty of room for all! The pool and hot tub were the best part of our trip! So convenient and so was the walk to the beach! Super easy 4min walk even for my parents in their 70s!! Great view and location!

Sun of a Sailor did not dissapoint

We just finished our spring break vacation at Sun of a Sailor. It is a beautiful house. The pool was heated, the hot tub was relaxing, and the location was perfect. It is a short walk to the beach. There are pool toys for the kids, and beach toys as well. The kitchen has enough pots and pans to make just about anything you want. You won't be disappointed choosing Sun of a Sailor for your next vacation, just don't forget your beach towels!

Perfect walking distance to everything

Beach House restaurant and bar was a block away, beach was a 5min walk, coffee and little grocery store was a block over. The hot tub and pool were great, beds were soft, and layout was good for 4 families to spread out!

Great location with a pool!

Quiet neighborhood even in mid-July. Easy walk to the beach- helps to use a wagon if carrying a lot. Pool and hot tub new and clean- great option for those needing a break from the beach. We were a 2 family group (10 total) with adult children- nice space for all. Bring blankets for the beds if anyone gets cool at night- only one extra blanket found in a downstairs closet. Beds have sheet-like coverlets. There are some beach chairs and toys, but some have started to rust and ware- we were glad we brought our own. Washer and dryer are wonderful! Efficient dryer! We also brought a large tent for the pool deck- there is no natural shade poolside, as you can see in the photos. Wal mart and Publix 10 minutes away. Beach House Restaurant one block from house! Great place- would highly recommend!!

Fall Break Getaway

This home was perfect for the size of our group. It was in a great location & just a short walk to the beach. The house was equipped with kitchen supplies so we could cook breakfast & dinner. The house seemed to be well maintained. The hot tub was put in right before we arrived and it was amazing! There were a few downfalls. We hoped to grill out, but the propane tank to the grill was empty. Also in the master bedroom there were clothing items left from the previous vacationers under the furniture that were not cleaned up. Lastly, the water pressure in the master bath shower was very poor. Otherwise this home was perfect for our stay in Gulfshores! I would consider coming back!

Good family retreat

Nice home, layout was good for large family gatherings, alot of areas for break away quiet time. The hot tub and outdoor areas were as good as the house! Home feels beachy with very relaxing decor and furniture. Beds were comfy.

Family Beach Trip 2022

The house was perfect for our family beach trip! The beach was a short walk away and there was a beach wagon, umbrellas, chairs, and beach toys to take along. We loved the outside areas and the beach could be seen from the top deck! The Waves store, the Beach House Restaurant, and Ice Cream shop were right next door and provided us with most of the things we needed without having to get in our vehicles. The only thing we had a problem with were the TV remotes. We never found the one for the outside TV and couldn’t get the ones in the master bedroom to work. There were Direct TV remotes and a Direct TV dish, but no evidence of service. We were able to use ROKU and log onto our Netflix and Prime accounts on the living room tv. All in all, it was a wonderful place to stay and we had a wonderful time!

Just what we needed

The place was very clean and had everything we needed. Lots of stairs so it seemed as though we were able to work off the food we ate😂. No pool but we were there to play ball anyway. We did call about the oven door but did not receive a call back.
