Gold Rated- Walk to Lifts-Coldstream-Vail Residences at Cascade Village
TIRED OF WALKING IN SKI BOOTS AND CARRYING SKIS? THEN STOP LOOKING AND START BOOKING, WHY?
You will walk 5 minutes in after ski boots or call the on demand shuttle to take you to the Ski Valet where you will store all your equipment overnight. Your feet will thank you too because your ski boots had air circulated into them all night to insure they are dry! Once you are ready to go you are less than 10 yards from the lift. Can I interest you in a year round outdoor hot tub or swim? Thought so, don’t forget your suit! Now you are ready for the wood burning fire place, dinner delivered from Gessner restaurant and then under the down comforters. Haven’t had enough, then enjoy the rest of the amenities of the 4 star Grand Hyatt.
The bedding is as follows: 1 King in the master, 2 Twins in the first floor bedroom and a full/twin bunk in the loft.

We had a lovely time. Condo arrangement was perfect for our group. It was close to lift and the hot tub! The condo/Hyatt shuttles made it quite convenient to get around town. Great place, would stay here again!
We absolutely loved this property and found the location and amenities to be exactly what we expected and more. The 2 bedrooms plus loft were perfect for our group of 2 couples and 3 adult children. It was an easy 0.25 mile walk in the morning to the Ski Valet at the Grand Hyatt where our boots were maintained clean and warm overnight. Once changed, our skis were waiting for us on the racks 20 feet from the lift. There was even a bathroom conveniently located right next to the lift. While we had privileges to use the pool/hot tub/gym at the Grand Hyatt, we preferred the quieter more convenient hot tub at Coldstream which you could see from the living room window. Can't wait to come back here again.
We were in town for a wedding, and the property suited our needs perfectly! Close to the venues, close to activities, close to the mountains and scenery. The pool and hot tub were a special bonus, as well as the access to the Grand Hyatt facilities. Thank you!
Great place, the complex is very nice, hot tub amazing and very close, the Hyatt amenities is a great bonus, especially the ski valet and cascades lift. Perfect Vail experience.
Perfect location! Walk to the lifts but away from the noise of Vail Village or Lionshead. Kids loved the board games that were available.

Great ski trip with friends
Amazing place and service! Jim was very helpful and accommodating even after some miscommunication on the dates, the house was great, and perfect for the 6 people we had (and 7 for 1 night). Also, the house is not ski-in / ski-out but there are shuttles that take you anywhere anytime, and if you walk for 5 mins you can be at Gondola 20 (attention - not for beginners).

Such a great experience
Everything about our stay was right.
The location is amazing - 200m away from the Vail Cascade resort where you can use all the amenities. For lazy people there is even a shuttle (not sure why you would use it to be honest as it is so close!). Jim, the owner, is great to deal with, obviously cares a lot about his property and is very responsive.
Vail Cascade also has a ski rental shop where you can get your gear and store it overnight.....and a chairlift that departs 3m away from where you put your skis on.... luxury!
The apartment is great, well thought and spacious. We had a party of 7 and everyone loved it. The duplex style is really cool, there are 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and a sleeping area upstairs. The kitchen is well designed, the living room spacious...basically there is nothing else we would have wished for.
The condo has a heated swimming pool and a hot spa that we used every day after skiing...did not even need to go and use the one at Vail Cascade.
Really a great find and I hope I will get to use it again. Made our time there truly enjoyable!
Thanks

Perfect location, beautiful condo
My family and I stayed in Jim's condo to attend a conference in Vail. The condo is within walking distance of the conference center -- a real plus for me. The condo was comfortable, cool and extremely well-equipped. The kids loved the pool and the grown-ups loved the setting. Thank you for a marvelous stay!

Vail holiday. Could not be made easier !!!!
Excellent, from start to finnish, for family.
From first inquiry, owner Jim very helpful via email, to arrival at Cascade, friendly staff accepted our skis and boots, taken to boot room/ski shop for storage overnight and quickly retrieved in the morning prior to skiing.
Condo has all our wishes covered, plenty of space, swimming pol and hot tub.
Easy 5 min walk to pick up warm boots at Cascade, ticket office and quiet lift directly out the door from putting boots on.
Jim helped immediately during our stay with a couple of minor inquiries, e.g. light switches & stereo.
Resort has amazing gym, son very grateful for this.
is is our 5th overseas family ski trip, and this has been the easiest.
Recommend highly, this place has all our wishes covered, we look forward to coming back. The only thing we would like to change, is seeing the Denver Broncos win the big game.

Great Condo.
Wonderful condo. Conveniently located - the condo is just a 5-minute walk to Chair Lift 20 in Cascade Village, or call the free shuttle service to pick you up to take you to the Lift (we never waited more than a couple minutes for the shuttle to arrive at our door). One wonderful feature is the free ski/ski boot storage at the base of Lift 20 - makes walking to/from the lift that much easier, plus ski boots are nice and warm in the morning. If you rent skis, you can (but not required) rent from the ski concierge that stores the skis.
My group had some odd scheduling issues, and the owner was very accommodating to us. Good communication with the owner throughout the entire process. I don't hesitate to recommend this condo to anyone looking to stay at Vail.

Grew up in Denver
I have a funny story about my wife and this condo. I found this condo on VRBO which we use all the time. She wasn't familiar with Cascade Resort so she was hesitant to let me book the trip. Long story short I won and booked the trip. When we pulled up at the front desk and the bellman asked if he could take our skis, poles, AND boots over to the ski concierge we gladly obliged. We checked in and were very happy with the condo. We have family that come in from all over the country to join us and the condo has plenty of room for us all to strech out relax and enjoy. The pool and jacuzzi is right around the corner and was part of our nightly ritual after skiing. The next day we walked over to the ski concierge-a shuttle is also available but we chose the short walk to warm up the legs. The team at the ski concierge are top notch. While we were putting on our boots they take your skis and poles and bring them out to the lift that is right outside the door. You walk out the door put your skis on and get on the lift. We got on the lift and I just looked at my wife with a big smile. This is the best part, she said "okay you were right this place is awesome". If that wasn't enough when we came back after a day of skiing they put your boots on dryers so they are dry and ready to go the next morning. We had a great time and look forward to next winter!!

Christmas 2011 in Vail
Our family spent Christmas week in this Vail condo. We have 4 teenagers and the condo worked well for us. Plenty of space and the ability to cook meals in the condo. A five minute scenic walk along the river path to use on-mountain ski and boot storage, hotel facilities and shuttles to Vail. My wife and I have come to Vail for over 25 years and usually stay at the Sonnenalp. We found this a reasonably priced option to bring the whole family to Vail and have direct access to the mountain and hotel facilites.

Peaceful mountain setting
We and another couple stayed here two nights the end of September. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. We went on a couple hikes, saw a beautiful waterfall and the aspen leaves were perfect! We enjoyed the fireplace and grilling steaks down by the pool. The new tv is nice. The hotel amenities are great and the shuttle is convenient. We've stayed at the hotel a few times but I really liked all the space and a kitchen in the condo. I would definitely love to stay here again. Thanks Jim!

Perfect for our needs
We spent two weeks with expanding and contracting numbers in this convenient, pretty and nicely furnished unit. I loved the decor and liked looking out on pretty birch trees and mountains, and my husband appreciated how easy it was to walk to the ski lockers and lift and get on the mountain. We were happy to ski and stay in the condo as it was so pleasant to use the hot tub or cook simple meals there, but also easy to jump on the shuttle or in the car to get anywhere fast. Best of both worlds. Jim, the owner was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. We're hoping to come back, especially if our daughters stay in Colorado.

Why they chose this property
Best Vail location offering an easy 5 minute walk to the ski valet where guests store their ski equipment free of charge right next to the Cascade Village/ Chair 20 Lift! This location is only a 5 minute shuttle ride to Vail Village or Lionshead keeping you peacefully away from the 2 a.m. noise fest when the bars close. In the summer the bike path is a block away and you can almost cast into the Gore Creek's Gold Medal water from our deck!
What makes this property unique
Unique benefits include either a short walk or on demand shuttle ride to the ski valet and lift. Gold Medal water and bike path right out the door. Beautifully set year round outdoor swimming pool and hot tub! How about the snap, crackle and pop of a real wood fire before you climb under your down comforter for the night?
