This place was everything we wanted out of our weekend getaway! It was so nice and quiet and relaxing. Everything was clean and it was just the right amount of space. We had a fantastic time and will tell all of our friends to use this cabin for a most relaxing time!
I’m had been coming to this area for 31 years now for fly fishing, camping, and hiking. My girlfriend moved here from Arizona roughly 7 months ago and it was very special to bring here to visit my “old stomping grounds”. The property was everything as advertised and what we were looking for. She and I are both “mountain folks” and this property provided everything we were wanting. We will definitely recommend this property to friends and family.

Nestled in the woods.
The house is great. The furnishings were great for our family. We enjoyed the screened in room. The house was quiet. I would recommend this stay to anyone. The location was very good for the area.

Really nice place!
Very comfortable house, far enough to be a quiet place but 10 min away from town. We had everything to enjoy a great stay. River was great for the kids, big garage for 2 cars, jacuzzi was the cherry on the cake!! Very enjoyable town too!

Disappointed
When we arrived it was confusing which doors and area was the entryways once inside we did not know where the alarm box was at to shut alarm off then we saw that the hot tub was not heating! One of the main reasons we booked the cabin was for the hot tub we was not informed at time of booking that there was issues with it and they was aware of the problems and booked us anyways! There was no lights for the balcony or outside downstairs it was not safe! We made the best of our stay the days outside did have beautiful views and the water was nice but there was no trout just creek chub! Overall it was still relaxing and serene!

My husband, oldest son and his now fiancée due to the proposal that took place during our stay here. We had a great time, cabin was cozy and well stocked. The hot tub super clean and roomy. The creek is gorgeous and we caught a few small fish. We also enjoyed the ping pong table and convenience to town, while still having seclusion at the cabin. All in all, we had a great time and hope to be back!

Probably wouldn’t stay again
We booked this cabin because of the hot tub but the hot tub didn’t work. We reached out to the property manager and at first they responded and asked “if we tried turning it on?” We sent pictures and videos but they never responded until the day we left, again we asked about the hot tub (it was at 6:00 in the evening when we asked) they responded at 1:22am and said they were sorry that we didn’t get to use it. The overall cleanliness was okay but definitely not the best, spider webs were everywhere and the bathroom was dirty. The cabin is directly across from a pretty busy road and it has several windows but none of them had blinds and/or curtains to close for privacy and that made us a little uncomfortable as we were there on a girls trip with 8 girls. There was also no lighting outside on the porch and it was very dark where the hot tub was located.

R&R
The view of the creek. The rushing sound of the water under the driveway bridge! The miniature waterfall at the entrance was just absolutely so relaxing. Nothing like a cup of coffee, the sound of water and birds chirping in the morning on the deck.

Not For Us
Not for families. One tv in the whole place. Internet was horrible and we understand we are in the mountains and service is spotty but no phone service and WiFi worked very little. My husband foot sunk in the deck weak boards and hurt his foot so we left a day early. Made a report no response yet.

Now good start
Arrived at check in to
Find home not clean. Called property management and the only texted they would elevate to locals. Texted back to see what was going on said they would get back to us. Finally at 8:20 I called and got them in the phone just to tell me they would elevate it. We spent 2-3 hours washing sheet and towels. The home owner should be made aware of the poor management. They only have us $1oo or so off for cleaning. We could not use the home until after 11pm. I think we should receive 1 nights credit plus the cleaning.
We had several problems (ants in a bed and on a bed, in both bathrooms, overflowed trash when we arrived, etc). We called and emailed while we were there and still haven’t gotten a response. We are home and will not be staying there anymore.

Internet
The internet sucked. We could not hardly watch TV. The internet would quit working.
House had all we needed. Nicely furnished. Clean. The only thing I would change is the squeaky bed upstairs. Couldn’t turn over without waking up because of it. The lighting could be brighter. Overall a nice place.

Blood, hair and ants on beds. Wifi was outdated and poor signal. Hot tub dirty upon arrival poor AC
Upon arrival we noticed that the bed sheets had hair blood on pillow cases and ants in the bed when you first walked in to house had a moldy smell. The Wi-Fi was outdated and ethernet cord was broken. We also noticed on arrival that the hot tub was dirty and had dirt and hair at the bottom of it. The AC was in not working well. So made relaxing in house uncomfortable.
No Customer Service, No Wifi - Horrible Experience
I need to request a partial refund as we did not have any wifi from our check in on Friday until finally they returned my 17 phone calls on Monday....the day before we checked out. There was blood on my comforter which bled through to the sheets, so I know the sheets were not changed before our arrival. The air conditioning downstairs was not cooling, there was a rat in the laundry area, and planks on the porch had places so rotted I almost fell through. The trash was not taken out from the previous renters. Dead frog in the basement/garage area. I have never had a worse experience when renting a cabin.
Gorgeous view, location is perfect but house needs TLC and internet connection is poor, ac don’t work properly it was 76-78.

Weekend review
The house was amazing. Everything was almost perfect. It was a wonderful escape for our normal lives. The one exception was we lost power one night due to a down tree and then none of the contact numbers left worked. Luckily, one of them was the agency who used to own it and they contacted duke for us and told us about the down tree. I LOVED the house and being out there, but customer service was a huge downer.

Great Location with trout stream
We had a lovely long weekend trip with family at this cabin, we are all avid Fly Fishing junkies and completely enjoyed throwing out a fly while our coffee was brewing! The cabin was not fancy, which is fine for us, simple and adequate for our needs. We will definitely come again! Thank you!
