About this property

Accessibility - 6 floors above street level. Elevator (10 steps to elevator)

Apartment description - 2 bedroom newly remodeled apartment with 1 bathroom. One full bathroom, with shower, toilet, sink. Complete kitchen including oven, microwave oven and full-size refrigerator. Master bedroom with 140 x 200 cm bed. 2nd bedroom has one single bed (90 x 190cm). Dining area facing South. Futon in dining area with slide-under extra-bed (2x 180x80cm)

For maximum comfort this apartment is centrally air-conditioned and has central gas heating as well.

Location - The apartment is in the historical part of the Eixample area, at short distance and midway from the Sagrada Familia temple and Passeig de Gracia shopping.

Transportation - Near Verdaguer metro station (on yellow and blue lines) and several bus lines. Very easy to get to by taxi.

Management - We are a small family company. Lauren is from Dallas, TX and Fernando is from Barcelona, Spain. We currently run 16 holiday apartments in Barcelona, 2 furnished homes in Dallas and 8 holiday apartments in Istanbul. We apply our same high standards in every country.

Noise levels - The apartment faces away from the street, into an ample interior courtyard.

Occupancy - The apartment is ideally suited for 3 people. It can sleep up to 5.

Check-in and check-out - The apartment will be ready for you at 16:30 for occupancy. You can drop your bags and get your keys from 12:00 (noon). Check-out time is 11:30am. You can request reserved early check-in or late check-out for a small fee, subject to availability. There is no extra fee for nighttime check-in. We have our office in the same building.

Great Location Apartment

It was a good stay..Lillian gave very good instructions on how to store our luggage which was a big deal for us. Location was the best. How do I look at all the apartments that is in the office building on Sant Joan? I understand those apartments are the best? I would actually stay with you on my next trip to Barcelona. Thank You

Super Lage

Wir waren zu viert (zwei Paare) unterwegs. In der Unterkunft gibts ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, ein Wohnzimmer mit ausklappbarer Couch sowie ein Kinderzimmer mit Einzelbett. De Wohnung war besser ausgestattet als beschrieben, es gab Handtücher, Fön, Küchenutensilien... Da das nirgends stand, hatten wir alles mitgemacht. Die Lage ist super. Man kann alles gut zu Fuß erlaufen. Kleiner Kritikpunkt: Man muss im Schlafzimmer die Tür auflassen, da kein Fenster. Mit Privatsphäre wird es also schwierig.

Three days in Barcelona

The apartment and its location was perfect for our short stay in Barcelona. It’s close to the Sagrada Familia, and other fantastic areas are easily accessible by walking. We didn’t take any public transportation, but it was nearby. The apartment was lovely, clean, and there is a terrace on the roof to enjoy the amazing views. Check in process was easy, and we were able leave our bags while we waited for the apartment as our flight arrived early. Overall, a great apartment for our family of 4, and we would definitely stay here again.

Nice central location

We really enjoyed our time in Barcelona, The flat was spacious, the bed comfortable and we liked the central location and the ease of getting around the city. Very frugal from an amenities standpoint. Would have been nice to have shower gel, soap, bottled water, maybe- the personal touch. We never saw the owner or manager. As to the property itself, could use a good updating. BUT the WiFi is terrible. Do not expect to stay logged on for any length of time. Really frustrating; from routine google searches to email, to Facebook. It’s slow and unreliable.

Un agréable séjour passé dans l’appartement

Très belle appartement, lumineux ! L’emplacement est top, à 5 min du métro et 3 min des bus. Les hôtes étaient très facilement joignable. L’appartement est très facile d’accès à l’arrivée.

Very good location

Close to shops, city center and food. Public transport near to hand. Bathroom could do with a little bit of refurbishment but otherwise the appartment was well equipped and spacious.

Comfortable tourist apartment

Very comfortable apartment, although tired & needing an upgrade, it was is mostly as represented. The bedrooms were clean & comfortable, perfect for a family with 2 kids. Although the kitchen was dark & gloomy, it was generally clean & well-stocked. The roof-top terrace was a disappointment - grimy and not a very pleasant place to hang out. The internet didn't work for our entire 4 day stay, and the manager was unable to correct it. The air con functioned fine. Certainly a good location for a brief stay in Barcelona as it is an easy walk to most sights, however, if staying longer in the city then I would look for a quieter location. Somewhat overpriced.

Much more outdated than shown. Only wifi in stairwell. Never had any contact with owners!

We have traveled to Europe many times and are accustomed to the lifestyle and furnishings. Unfortunately, the owners never replied to our texts. The linens were in poor shape. The first time we used a bath towel it fell apart! It was in a great area and fit most of our needs. The only critizism is that the communications were non-existant. Don't count on the wifi either!

Nice apartment but needs updating

This apartment was in a great location, with cafés, bus stops and the tube stop nearby. The facilities were all as described and it was very clean, however the apartment is looking very tired. It is in need of a facelift, new linen and towels and updated kitchen too. The air con, unfortunately, was not particularly efficient and is the first thing we would have changed. Upon arrival, the cot and high chair we had arranged were not at the apartment so we had to wait a couple of hours before they arrived and we could put our baby to sleep. The map we were promised detailing the local area also failed to arrive. Some kind of welcome pack would have been ideal. It's also worth noting that although the apartment does have a lift, it is up 8 steps which is a little awkward if you have a pushchair and suitcases.

A little bit tatty in a great location

This is an interesting one. The location is very good for most of the sights and we walked everywhere. There were 4 of us and it was good value for all of us and we spent most of our time outside the flat. I had read all the reviews and was assured that all the past issues had been rectified. However, the flat is still tatty and is in need of a real update. Then, it would be marvellous. The furniture is low budget, the bedsheets tired, the towels are still old and grey and there were little ants in the bathroom. The inside of the washing machine was very dusty and we chose not to use it. I did not find the kitchen inviting to use. But it did serve the purpose and we had a lift to take us to the top floor so it had its plusses. If I were the owner I would invest in this apartment and give it a most necessary uplift.

Great apartment in ideal location

My husband, son, and I stayed here for 5 days and it was perfect. Apartment is exactly as in photos. We arrived and it was clean, sunny and comfortable. It faces pretty courtyard and is quiet. Best part is a rooftop deck with chairs and tables. We ate breakfast up there every day. Beautiful view and only a short flight up front this top floor apartment. Shower is good and kitchen is cute and workable. The location is excellent. Building is in nice neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Main attractions are in walking distance and metro is 4 blocks away. The building and apartment are all accessed by code key entry and that makes it very easy. We recommend this and would definitely stay there again.

Lovely apartment in fab location - great value for money

Top floor apartment in the great Eixample district of Barcelona. Location was perfect - safe and lots of locals round and about. Kitchen and bathroom were small but adequate. The bedrooms were a double and twin which was perfect for our family: travelling with two sons aged 11 and 9. The living room was a good space too but we couldn't find any English channels on the TV! The building itself was very quiet and this apartment is at the back, so we didn't get any road noise. The roof top terrace was a real bonus - a great suntrap, quiet with great views of the streets below. Check in was easy with the greeter arriving within 5 mins of us calling him and we were able to check in early.

Not nearly as good as the pictures. Misleading !

Let me start off by saying that this was our first VRBO experience outside of the US. We've had wonderful stays in places such as upstate Michigan and NYC within the past couple years utilizing your service. I'll start with the positives; Great location, nearly all of targeted visit sites were within walking distance. We felt very safe staying in this neighborhood, lots of foot traffic in the streets well after midnight. The Internet service was solid. The apartment was turned over to us on time and it was in clean condition. The apartment was in poor condition and in desperate need of basic maintenance i.e., walls throughout the apartment were scuffed up with marks in dire need of painting. The few linens ( towels) were provided were at least ten years old and had turned gray from its original white shade. The blankets for the beds were also very old and faded. We only got about 3 days worth of toilet paper for the two of us. Washing and drying clothes was a day long process that required constant supervision as the french made equipment was very inefficient. Drying a medium size load took 5 hours utilizing the highest temperature setting. We feel we overpaid for this property and that the images we were allowed to view painted a misleading picture of the quality of the apartment. Case in point; took a three day trip to Madrid, stayed at a Marriott property four blocks away from the Atocha train station in the heart of town paying only $80 euros per night.

Nice apartment, great location

The apartment was in a nice neighborhood, very convenient to many sights. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The apartment was well equipped, and we especially appreciated having a washer drier. It was nice to have a separate sitting area, kitchen and 2 bedrooms. All of the rooms were spotlessly clean. The owner responded immediately to every question I had by email and gave thorough answers. He was accommodating and friendly.

Not very clean appartment

The location was good, but the apartment was not well taken care of. There were ants in the bathroom which made it undesirable! We had no hot water the first day, and then the hot water temperature was going on and off. The coffee pot was cracked, and we cut our hand washing it, the fridge door never closed shut properly. All these little issues make for a worrisome vacation. I would not stay here again.
