Elk Ridge Casita was the perfect location to escape to for a few days. We enjoyed the isolation, the incredible dark sky and star gazing. Meg's cooking was great and made us feel right at home. The wood stove in the tent kept us warm through the chilly nights.
Cute, quaint little getaway. Perfect spot to stargaze or watch the solar eclipse which is what I chose the location for.

Really great folks. First time glamping and enjoyed the time. Wildlife came by first evening and I think it was three elk, but was dusk and made I. D. Hard.
Property is fantastic . The tent, sleeping area, and kitchen clean and nice. It is still camping in a lot of ways but with the luxuries of a fridge and hot shower. Very well done!
We had been gone from home for several days. This was our last two day stop before heading back to the craziness of life. It was a perfect place to drink in the night sky and reset!
Second time here. Looking forward to another trip here before winter. Good for the heart. Good for the soul. As an ER lead nurse …. So good to unwind and heal. Thanks to the owners …. They rock!!!
I highly recommend staying here. The owners have knocked it out of the park with the view and providing everything that one may need for a glamping experience. The owners were quick to respond and ensured we had everything we needed. Location is 30 minutes from Durango and a beautiful drive there. This place felt very secluded but still safe. Definitely check this place out! 5 stars all the way!!!
A delightful property, with a wonderful view, all the tools and supplies you could need, lots of privacy and quiet. Just what the doctor ordered! Recommended!
We enjoyed this adventure for sure! Great accomodations! It was colder than we anticipated so the lack of hot water was a little bit of a challenge but we embraces it and enjoyed! The view is amazing! The most amazing view of the stars.

wonderful glamping experience. Must stay and worth the money. Star gazing and the tent , the beds and camp fire was great. Lee, Meg and the boys Law and Tye was great. thanks for the hospitality and for giving us a great camping experience. Loved the cow and calves.
Well what can I say about this property except that it was awesome and my family and I really enjoyed staying there. To take a trip to Durango was easy and fast, so we were able to enjoy everything around us. The property offers great electricity and very good hospitality in making sure that we were doing well from the hosts.
Enjoyed staying at this peaceful campsite to unplug from the world for a bit. We took advantage of the gourmet meals offered so we wouldn’t have to go anywhere. We were not disappointed! Just wish we could’ve stayed longer.
I booked this getaway for me and my husband. Never would I have imagined there would be such a place! We love the outdoors and this made our stay perfect! I would stay here again and choose this stay over a luxury hotel any day! Thank you so much!
Loved it! The sun made it hot/too bright for enjoying coffee, cooking breakfast in the morning and taking in the view. Overall a great experience though!
If you’re lucky enough to stay on this little slice of heaven you will get to enjoy luxury camping at its finest. The spacious canvas tent was perfectly decorated and stocked with everything you would need from wood for the stove to keep you warm at night to locally sourced lavender tea and coffee to enjoy while you watch the sunrise from bed. The home cooked meal was only the cherry on top of a perfect stay. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us.
Overall, a nice experience. So convenient to have warm running water and still be a part of nature. The tent is on the back of the owners property and since they have cattle about 10 yards from the site, there are hundreds of flies. Unfortunately, the only fly swatter provided was broken.
As far as location, I was hoping there would be access to hiking, but since this is on the owners property, it's surrounded by barbed wire. It's only a 30 minute drive from durango and convenience stores are within 10 minutes.
There were plenty of blankets and even a very large heatong blanket! This is worth the glamping experience.
My husband, daughter and I stayed four nights at this fantastic property. It is a gorgeous and peaceful setting with comfortable amenities. It is glamping at its finest. Meg was a fantastic host. Her communication was quick and she made sure we had what we needed to make our stay comfortable. If you want to try glamping do not hesitate renting this property. It is an easy drive to Durango, which is a great town . We would definitely rent this property again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable and had everything necessary to enjoy a stay 'outdoors'. Even though the owners are just across the way, it is set up so you have total privacy, which is what we were looking for.
I only give location a 4 because it is a bit of a drive to Durango or Pagosa Springs. It was fine for us and we felt the overall experience was WELL worth the drive. But if you're wanting to bop in and out of town, maybe not a good choice.
We're already looking for dates to do a return visit! Great stay!
This hidden gem is the perfect getaway. Our families stayed on the property the whole stay, but there is so much to do in the area. The view was breathtaking. My kids explored the property and Lee introduced them to the calves. Meg was quick and friendly with her responses. The food was delicious! Overall a wonderful experience. 5 stars across the board. My family took home memories that will last a lifetime.
