About this property

Coconut Cabana is waterfront on White Sound, Green Turtle Cay in the Abaco Bahamas. The private house is surrounded by a screened porch that overlooks White Sound and The Bluff House Yacht Club. As a private part of a resort it has use of all the amenities of the resort with a pool side bar and restaurant, beach, beach bar, paddle tennis, marina, etc.

The designer decorated home has an open floor plan for easy entertaining inside or out with a fully equipped large country kitchen. The two identical master suites are tropically decorated with private baths and all linens are included.

Coconut Cabana’s dock is 80’ with dockage on both sides for small boats. We have water to the dock but no power. White Sound is an active harbor with lots of boat activity. The water ferry can deliver you right to your private dock or Bluff House ferry dock depending on water depth.

Coconut Cabana is as front and center as you can get on quite Green Turtle Cay.
Town in approximately 1 kilometer from Coconut Cabana by boat and about 4 KL by golf cart.

Ocean, reefs, ocean beaches, deserted islands, the best restaurants are all within 2 KL of Coconut Cabana.

My first time and can't wait for many more.

We came to fish and snorkel, and we did it all.be came over from FL on our 32' center console and it was the perfect location for convenience and safety. We weren't worried about our boat and supplies. The road came right to the house so it was convenient for the golf cart. We LOVED all the beaches, and bluff house beach was the paradise that makes dreams come true. Dianne is a fabulous person and a pleasure to communicate with. She's so responsive and experienced. She helped me know what to expect. We fished and snorkeled and had a blast.

Great house in a great location

We enjoyed our time at Coconut Cabana and would definitely stay there again. Having a private dock was great and access to the next door Bluff House pool, as well as the Boathouse restaurant and Tranquil Turtle beach bar was very convenient. Look forward to another visit.

Awesome time in Green Turtle!

Great house, very communicative owners. Easy check in process and well stocked property with a great view of the harbor. We love the abacos and this was a great place to stay!

Wonderful location

We had such a nice vacation at the Cabana! This is our second time on the island and we would glady rebook this property for our next stay. It was perfect for our family of four. The screened in lani was very nice to hide from the bugs and rainy days and the dock was a plus for our boat rental. GTC we will be back!

On the Bluff

We were on the island as part of a wedding party. The combinations were great. Everything functioned in the home was in the wonderful location. It was very nice to have the dock and a place to keep the boat during our stay. Highly recommend!

Great Trip

The Coconut Cabana was just as described...well maintained, cleaned and close to everything. The dock worked great for our 31 foot center console. Working with the owners was a pleasure as well as the caretakers. A great set-up.

Beautiful cottage in a perfect setting

The cottage was even better in person than in the pictures. Everything needed for a perfect trip in an extremely well stocked house. The pier was well protected and in great shape and even a cart provided to transport items back and forth. We have been to Abaco 8 times and this is the top spot we have stayed in all of our visits

Refreshing return to GTC

We hadn’t been to GTC since 2012 and the Coconut Cabana was a terrific place to settle in for a relaxing week. Terrific communication that ensured when we arrived someone would help us from the dock to the house and get settled. The house had terrific location overlooking part of White Sound, convenient to Bluff house restaurant and beach bar, and was very comfortable for a family of four to unwind from a busy day. Check out process smooth including assistance in getting our bags to the dock and confirming with ferry our departure time.

Great stay!

We traveled as 2 couples to visit GTC for the 1st time since Hurricane Dorian. We knew it was "off" season so it was wonderful to get to talk more with locals and enjoy end of season dinners at both Bluff House and Green Turtle Club. We have stayed once before at this house and it was just as before- lovely, clean and peaceful. Della met us at the docks, we had our Seaside Golf cart waiting and Donny delivered our boat the next day. It was a wonderful 5 night stay, enjoyed a combo of eating out enjoying lobster and fresh fish and cooking at the house a couple of nights!!

Great Property

We really enjoyed our stay at Coconut Cabana. The house was very comfortable for two couples. The location is wonderful with a private dock, several excellent restaurants and a beach within easy walking distance and a pool right next door. A golf cart is all you need to access numerous beautiful beaches and snorkeling sites but the private dock makes renting a boat very convenient. The boat provides easy access to most of the island beaches, fly fishing flats, restaurants and shopping, as well as access to all of the surrounding cays. The owners, Dianne and Eli, were very responsive and helpful while planning our trip. We highly recommend this property.

Internet

We got there and they had just taken out the Internet. Didn't have internet the whole week. No Tv in the Bedrooms cause of that. Other than that, it was good. we have this house coming up this June. Hope the Internet is working. Also need some CLR in the Shower heads to clear up the spray nozzle holes. Would recommend this house nice Dock.

A cozy cottage

Thank you Dianne & Eliiott for allowing us to stay in you’re comfortable & well appointed cottage. We especially enjoyed spending our mornings & evenings sitting on the lanai. We never did figure out how to work the tv’s in the bedrooms, but that was never a big deal anyhow. Caroljean is a gem & answered any & all questions we had (when we first got to the house, & there were several). The kitchen had everything we needed to make most of our meals in & the bedrooms & baths were an accommodating size. We loved overlooking Bluffhouse & the marina & would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for peace & comfort. Thanks again for everything.

Fantastic property

Just returned from a week and this house is fantastic! House was super comfortable with a beautiful view of White Sound with the Bluff House Marina in the background. Perfect for two couples or a family and we ate every meal outside on the screen porch. The beach down the street a couple hundred yards away was really nice with tranquil water perfect for swimming. House has everything you need to cook and direct tv was a nice touch after a long day on the water. We rented a boat for the entire week and it was great having the dock so close to the house. Beds were very comfortable, showers were hot, and overall a very enjoyable experience. It is obvious that the owners take great pride in keeping this house in great condition. The owners were in constant contact prior to our departure and the caretaker was available to help if needed during our entire stay. Highly recommend this house and we'll definitely be back.

Awesome stay

We took our boat for a vacation in Bahamas. We booked up the house for a week stay. We enjoyed so much that we extended two days. The location of the house is perfect for my family. My parents enjoyed fishing. My husband and I enjoyed the resteraunt next door and awesome view from the patio. The beach is only 3 minutes walk. My two year old loved it. No big waves. Water is always warm and under shoulder, just like a pool with awesome view. My son played on beach all the time. The house itself is very comfortable. The dryer wear out in 2nd load and microwave didn't function well. But we managed to dry clothes in back patio. Dianne couple are very helpful and friendly. I do appreciate all the convenience they provided. Love this place. Wish to return next year!

Seven Days in February

The house is everything you said it would be and then some! The layout is superb for two couples with king suites for each. The bathrooms are extremely well designed with lots of room and easy access. Everything is modern and up to date. The kitchen and dining area are nice and open, and similarly equipped with first class appliances. Everyone commented on how the house has been meticulously well maintained. Truly a first class experience. Weather was dicey, as we expected in early February. There were only three really nice days and two lost to rain. By contrast, over a foot of snow fell at home during our stay, and temperatures hovered around zero. We did NOT want to go home! For those who read this review, let me assure you that Coconut Cabana Villa is a steal. Private dock on a tranquil bay with a broad veranda view of the harbor. It do not get better than this! Coconut Cabana Gem

If you are looking for a spacious waterfront home with a private dock, look no further! We just spent 4 nights at Coconut Cabana and loved its location, scenic views from the large porch overlooking White Sound, the private and easily accessible dock, and all the household amenities needed in a home away from home. Dianne, the owner, is responsive and helpful. She provided us with all the necessary information for a successful visit, and sent reminder emails answering any questions, and wishing us well on our upcoming trip. We rented a golf cart and boat rental in advance based on her recommendations, and were met at the ferry dock by their caretaker. We loved Green Turtle Cay - such a beautiful and friendly island. When we booked our trip we did not realize that after Labor Day through most of October many restaurants, lodging, and businesses are closed; for the off-season. However, we found the peaceful serenity charming and relaxing. There were a few restaurants open - enough for us to try a new one each day! And they were all wonderful and delicious. We look forward to visiting GTC when everything is up and running, though it did not affect our fabulous visit one little bit. Dianne and Eli have provided an exceptional guest book that gives you all the information you will need, and their local caretakers are also accessible and helpful. The boating is exceptional as well as the beaches and nearby islands. This home is truly a slice of Paradise, and you will want for nothing; everything you need is there. Looking forward to the next time that we can visit - and hoping it will be soon!

Not up to standard.

Unfortunately this stay was not what we had hoped. A/c was broken in one of the bedrooms and flooded the floors. No attempt was made to fix it when reported to the caretaker. Only 1 key to house was made available and there is no safe to lock valuables so leaving the house unlocked did not feel right. The kitchen was not clean upon our arrival . Numerous items in the house were broken or missing. The home also boasts a large amount of cockroaches to keep you company.

THIS IS YOUR SPOT!

Coconut Cabana was absolutely perfect! We took our children and our grandaughter for a week of play in Green Turtle. The location is spot on, with a private dock off the back of the house! The house had everything we needed to enjoy the pool and walking distance to Bluff House restaurants, and their bayside beach! The home has two "master" suites with ensuite bathrooms- both are mirror images of eachother. The porch is screened in and has a great view of White Sound. There is a gas grill outside that works are well. Diane has a caretaker on site, who was readily available with any questions that we potentially had. We will be making Coconut Cabana our annual stay!

Location is awesome.

The location is the best on the island. With your private dock for your boat, you don’t even need a golf cart. We did have an issue with the AC in the living area, but I understand that things happen. I am sure it will be fixed as soon as possible. There is an issue with ants as well. Other than that, I do recommend this place at the price range it’s at.

Eliott and Dianne are celebrating a "Night of Elegance" at the Green Turtle Club in this photo. We live in the mountains of Colorado where Eli has been a ski bum and owned a ski shop for over 35 years. Recently retired we spend more time on Green Turtle usually in the Fall and Winter. We are starting another rental project on a cliff in Nicaragua overlooking the Pacific, coming 2020. Surf's up!

Coconut Cabana is located near the heart of the action on White Sound but, still private at the end of the palm tree lined drive. Your private dock is steps from your door and minutes by boat to the Ocean, the reefs, the Town of New Plymouth, the Sea of Abaco and Great Abaco. The Sound is protected from the Ocean yet has easy access to all areas.

What makes this property unique

The people on Green Turtle are what made our decision to live there easy. We have traveled the World and settled on this area as our home away from home. The convenience of getting from Colorado to GTC and home again in one day and not arriving totally exhausted was the clincher for us to settle here.
