About this property
Adorable 1 bed/1 bath Unit in N. Oak Park minutes from UC Davis
THE SPACE: The home is a 1908 bungalow original to the community of Oak Park which was Sacramento's first suburb and reflects this national history. It has been beautifully updated and remodeled into a 1 bedroom, 1 bath in the downstairs unit
The kitchen is equipped a small stove/oven, fridge and plenty of smaller appliances like a coffee grinder and French press for quality coffee. The home also has an easy-to-use washer and dryer, a security system with cameras, and alarm that can be set while at home or away.
To relax there are multiple nooks in the recently renovated yard to enjoy including a gas BBQ, a gas firepit area to hang out and socialize, an outdoor dining table with umbrella, a separate sofa and chair area or a sky chair to hang out and relax. The entire yard has string lighting to add to the ambience for summers outdoors!
For the indoors there is a 55 inch smart TV with YouTube TV in the front room along with a dining table, sofa couch and armchairs.
THE HOOD: Oak Park is a quickly changing neighborhood with much to offer. The home is on 6th avenue which backs McClatchy Park where you can find disc golf, tennis and basketball courts, a seasonal farmers market, frequent barbeques and community gatherings, and plenty of people out for walks with dogs, families, and friends. Just a 5-10 minute walk will bring you to a variety of restaurants, ice cream and tea, gift shops, boutiques, a nursery, a theatre, and more, including some favorites. Oak Park is located about a mile from the UCD Medical Center and close to many other hospitals, an easy 10 minute drive to midtown Sacramento, and close to other great Sacramento parks and points of interest. This neighborhood is also unique in hosting a number of events such as First Fridays and Gather - seasonal once monthly community events with food, music, and vendors, as well as an annual Dia de los Muertos celebration.
TRANSPORT: The immediate points of interest in Oak Park are walkable. Midtown and other surrounding areas can easily be reached on bike. There is also an RT lightrail station 2 miles from the home, and plenty of bus stations within a short walk. Additionally, the home is located within easy access to various freeways that take you south to the valley and Lodi wine country, east to the Sierras and Tahoe, west to the coast and San Francisco, and north toward Chico and Lassen.

About the host
Hosted by Jill Eugenio
My husband Rob and I live in the Bay Area however we have a great love of Sacramento and are up there often visiting family. Sacramento has so much to offer with a cool downtown area, fun activities on the American River and wine tasting in the area. We hope you love and enjoy Sacramento as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this house with its great space and the fantastic neighborhood. The neighbors take great pride in their homes and everyone is so friendly and will wave hello as they are walking by. During the evenings you regularly see families out walking with their dogs and you are walking distance to cool little shops and restaurants.
What makes this property unique
What is unique is the ability to walk to basically everything we need. From the little shops of Oak Park Market and Boss's to UC Davis, Oak Park Brewery or just to hang out for a picnic in the park.
