Captain's Cabana Gulf Front Condo
Be the Captain of your own destiny at Captain's Cabana at the Victorian - a wonderful 1 bedroom condo overlooking one of the complex' 2 pools, with an amazing beach view and rockers to sit on the balcony and rock your cares away.
When you step inside you will be transported to another place - a BEACHY place you will absolutely adore. The decor is gorgeous, the beds comfortable, and everything you could think of has been thought of for you! Fromt he private bedroom with a large closet and television, to the quaint dinette set, to a kitchen with 2 burner cooktop, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and countertaop appliances, plus all the cookware, dinnerware and glassware you will need.
The Victorian complex is directly across the street from Babe's Beach, and has a protected crossing at the corner. You'll be walking distance to shopping as well, and one of the city's fishing piers is directly across Seawall Boulevard, too. You will not run out of things to do. The living room has 2 sofa/futon's - one of which can be folded down for additional sleeping options - the sheets will be found in the bedroom closet along with the pillows for this option. There are true twin bunks (not camper bunks for toddlers) built into the hallway alcove.
Come Stay With Us at Captain's Cabana - you'll be happy you did, you'll be bragging to your friends, and you'll be making your next reservation before you even leave.
You will have exclusive use of the entire condo - and share the pools, hot tubs, fitness center, tennis court and grounds including BBQ pergolas, fish cleaning station and a multitude of outdoor spaces with other guests and residents of the Victorian condominium complex.
You certainly COULD stay here without a car - you can walk to shopping, eateries and the beach, there is public transportation nearby, and there are several local and nationally "branded" taxi services as well as ride share (Uber, Lyft) programs in place as well as meal deliveries (UberEats, ASAP (formerly WAITR) and DoorDash available as well.
We provide self check in instructions 24-72 hours prior to arrival - and when you are on vacation - YOU ARE ON VACATION. Should you need to reach us, however, we are but a phone call or email away and ready to assist you. We are happy to answer any questions at any time, but to ensure we give you the correct code we cannot provide access instructions earlier than this.
The Victorian complex staff will greet you at their office upon arrival to verify you are a registered guest and collect the Facilities Access Fee that they charge all guests on property which is $35 per stay up to 14 days or $70 per month - and this fee provides you with up to 6 wristbands that identify you as registered guests on the property - codes to the entry gates both drive through and walk-through, as well as codes to access pools, outdoor restrooms, fitness center - as well as up to 2 parking permits valid for the duration of your stay.
What's included: Bed linens for all beds, bath, hand and wash cloth for each guest that the unit welcomes. We do not provide beach/pool towels and we do ask that ours not be removed from the condo and taken to the beach or pool. They can get damaged or lost.
Starter supplies: 2 rolls of 2-ply, quilted toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, a dishwasher tablet, small dishwashing liquid, sponge, 2 small soaps, 2 small shampoos, trash bag, and coffee including sweeteners, stir sticks, powdered creamer to make that first pot. These are not intended to last your entire group through your entire stay - but to get in, get situated and figure out where you will shop for what on the island.
The Victorian complex does not allow renters to have a pet – so if you travel with Fido or Fifi – please check out the other My Galveston Getaway managed properties that ARE dog friendly. While true service animals are an exception – you very well may be asked by the complex to provide the verification. For short term rental/vacation purposes – emotional support animals are not considered true support animals and we are unable to make exceptions to a rule that is in place and enforced by a complex in which we manage condos. Kindly be respectful. All properties managed by My Galveston Getaway are 100% non-smoking/non-vaping properties.
After making your reservation you will receive a link to complete our renters agreement. The only information we request differently than the booking platforms (VRBO/AirBnB) is your personal email address, the names and ages of each person who will be in the property during your stay, and your driver’s license information as well as an emergency contact should we need to reach someone on your behalf. Thank you for completing this in a timely manner so that we may send you the check-in instructions for the property you have reserved.
