And while the cabin feels far away in the woods, it's only about a 10-minute drive into town with shopping, groceries, and restaurants. Our cabin is also just off the Back of the Dragon motorcycle route. Come see for yourself why so many enjoy this quiet, peaceful spot. Please note, to access our cabin you will need to cross a narrow bridge that is not recommended for trailers.

Worthwhile, but watch that bridge!
This cabin is a gem. The location is great, adjacent to Hungry Mother State Park and a mile from the Back of the Dragon. Our stay was quiet and the cabin was clean (looking like it was recently renovated.) We especially enjoyed the front porch, and wifi (in an area with bad cell signal) was a lifesaver for us. I'm very thankful for the opportunity and would definitely recommend it. One significant word of caution. The entrance bridge is narrow and without railings. Crossing it was difficult, and I was afraid to do so at night. Same for the driveway and tiny parking areas, which left no place to turn around. I pulled a small trailer with motorcycles, which seems like a logical occurrence with the Back of the Dragon being so close. Once I crossed the bridge, I didn't have confidence with the exit. So, I had to contact a local towing company who were able to drive it out with several people watching all sides. No tow truck needed, but I couldn't have done it on my own. The tow company called it the "famous bridge" having towed cars off of it several times. In short, don't bring a trailer of any kind and use caution at night. I do think that the bridge and driveway should be communicated more clearly on the listing. The pictures don't do it justice. It's a significant obstacle. Also, the listing doesn't mention AC and Wifi (which it does include.) In short, if you don't bring a trailer, this is a great place to stay. Definitely check it out.
