We enjoyed our stay at the Schoolhouse Lofts. The only complaint we had about the loft is that the towels were fairly small and not very nice. It would be appreciated if there were larger bath towels, and maybe a few extra on hand, given the classy renovation to this beautiful historic building.
Great place to return too after busy days touring around the area. Great bike paths within blocks of the Schoolhouse. Walking distance to a beautiful downtown and waterfront. Condo has everything you need in the kitchen. Balcony is beautiful and a very nice BBQ and fire pit. Would recommend to everyone.
We had a softball tournament in the area and found this gem on VRBO. We loved it! The urban decor, fully functioning kitchen and peaceful deck were just what we were looking for.
Property was exactly as pictured… beautiful! Well furnished kitchen to prepare a snack or meal. Great location, just 4 blocks north of Red Mesa Grill / Provisions Wine Lounge & market and 4 blocks east of the farmer’s market at the water’s edge. An easy, safe walk for dinner, drinks, ice cream and shopping. Quiet neighborhood, we enjoyed coffee on our balcony in the morning and playing cards later… comfortable lounge furniture as well as a patio table set. Had to contact the property handyman because we couldn’t get the electronic lock to work on our 2nd morning. He came right over, only needed the batteries changed and we were on our way. If I had to find a negative, it’s time for new bathroom towels. They felt worn, not nearly as luxurious as the rest of the property. A few more spare towels would be nice too.
My husband and I stayed in loft 3 with another couple. We were happy to find a property with two master suites. We’ll consider staying at School House Lofts again if we’re in the area.
Beautiful property and unit. Great layout for 2 couples, nice living/kitchen/shared space with a spacious balcony. We would definitely stay here again.
This former school turned loft apartments is so well done, everything is fresh and new. We sat out on our balcony every night. Well appointed kitchen had all the tools we needed. Lakeview just a few steps at the end of the street. Walk to everything like restaurants/breweries, grocery store, bakery, coffee roaster, water sports rentals including souvenir and unique shops. You won't be disappointed
I had a trade show to attend down the road and it was sold out, but for about the same money, we had a open kitchen/dining/living room, separate bathrooms, and a gorgeous deck.
Very nice and newly renovated property. Very clean, all appliances were new and worked seamlessly. Loved the balcony, outside grill, and gas fire pit. Great location just a few blocks from the Lake and downtown Boyne City. Boyne Mountain just a 10 minute drive. Only draw back was there wasn't a lake view but we knew from the advertisement going in so it was not an issue.
This is our second stay at this absolutely beautifully renovated School House. We reserved the two bedroom unit this time. Plenty of room and every amenity one could ask for. Views from the balcony were pretty as we watched the sunset. Highly recommend!
The condo is very clean, inside and out. I stayed with my daughter and her friend and felt completely safe. Everything is newly remodeled and the brink is even more beautiful in person. The location is minutes of walking distance from downtown and the water. There’s a lot of shopping, dining and outdoor entertainment. I would definitely stay again.
The 2nd floor loft was fantastic. Great location in a quiet neighborhood, but only a few blocks away from the main street, restaurants and marina. Trendy, modern, nicely furnished, well stocked and clean. Would absolutely recommend.
