We wanted river front cottage with close access to the Pine Creek Rail Trail —this places delivers. Rustic charm with cozy wrap-around porch that looks out to Pine Creek and the bike trail on the far side. Capable kitchen and comfortable beds made our stay enjoyable. Lots of hiking, biking, (fishing in cooler weather) in the area. Host was great at providing insights to our trip planning. All in all, a very nice stay.
Great location with great views of Pine creek off the back porch. The fishing was excellent right at the property and we enjoyed the fireplace in the cabin every evening
Would recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy all the activities Pine creek has to offer
Great location by the creek. Had no issues with the property and Barry had plenty of firewood for us to use in the fireplace. Unfortunately, the streams were very high so it was tough for fishing, but we still had a great time.
We had our annual meet up of friends to do some fishing and catching up. This place was perfect for that. Plenty of room for us to relax and unwind. Had everything we were looking for. Was clean, comfortable, and quiet.
We had such an incredible long weekend here. The cabin was very clean. Very private setting with amazing creek frontage. We spent our days down in the water and our evenings around the fire or laughing on the porch. We had very warm days, but the air conditioners kept the cabin cool. Nice linens and towels provided. Perfect setting for family and friends. Favorite porch ever!!!
Our group had a great time at Barry's place on the Pine Creek. It was clean and had everything we needed. The creek was in good shape and as a group we caught and missed up to 20 fish. At least half of them right off the creek in back of the cabin. Two of our group have been fishing the creek for over 20 year and this was one of their best experiences. We'll definitely be back next year.
Lovey location! Quiet and private. Very helpful host. Kitchen was dirty and the bedding had what seemed like dog hair in it. Otherwise very nice place!

We loved the location of the property. The property advertised air conditioning and that was not true. Also WiFi was advertised as being available. That also was not accurate. We had family who needed to work some and they were unable to due to the lack of WiFi. The home was clean.
The cabin was roomy and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We were right on the creek so there really was no need to go anywhere, but there are great restaurants nearby such as Waterville Hotel, Mountaintop Provisions and Happy Acres. Being from the area originally, it was nice to go back "home" for the weekend and decompress in the mountains. Barry was very easy to communicate with, although we never needed a thing while we were there. If I were to caution one thing to anyone staying in the future, bring a lot of bug spray. The black flies were awful but that's anywhere this time of year and nothing that anyone can control. You just need to come prepared. 10/10 recommend and will definitely stay again!
The place is great. The house is clean, warm and comfortable.
Very spacious.
The property is beautiful, with gorgeous views outside.
Barry called us within an hour of our arrival and gave us very good, detailed advice and information about the house and the surrounding area. great access to Pine creek. The kind of place you hate to leave.
I hope to go there again, and would highly recommend to everyone.
My husband and I just spent a great 5 days here. We wanted a quiet time away to rest and relax and read, and we also wanted to ride our bikes on the rail trail. We were able to do all of these things here. The porch is so deep and the chairs and swing are so comfy! And there is a great fireplace inside that we enjoyed several times as well. It was a very nice time!
