Oberhaus, our rustic cozy A-frame mountain chalet is the perfect retreat in the heart of the Smoky Mountains to enjoy time with each other. We are located in the highly sought after neighborhood of Chalet Village with its access to three club houses with communal pools, pickle ball courts and fitness center.

The property stands out with its high ceiling, spacious open floor plan and ideal location with spectacular mountain views!

As you enter the home, the floor to ceiling windows and the high ceiling in the 2 living room areas will blow your mind by metaphorically bringing the outdoors in. You will be enchanted by the unique layout and the charming decor.

Living room #1 features a 55 inch Smart TV, big leather couches, and the dining table for meal times is the perfect place to unwind and relax and share meals together.

The 2nd living room around the with its wood burning fireplace (BYO wood) and sitting area space is great for your group to warm up during the winter or just spread out.

The kitchen with its granite counter top is fully equipped for the "chef" in your group to enjoy preparing his/her best dishes. It features a fridge, freezer, oven, stove, microwave, toaster, pots and pans, Instapot, crockpot, glasses and silverware. You’ll have everything needed to enjoy memorable meals! The coffee nook features a Keurig, 12 cup coffee machine and mugs for the morning coffee.

Take comfort in knowing that our home is always exceptionally clean and that our beds are extremely comfortable. Our plush mattresses and soft linens are always enjoyed by our guests.

Enjoy the wrap-around decks offering fantastic views of the Smoky Mountains. The comfortable patio furniture ensures you have a place to unwind with a beverage of choice while enjoying the scenery. As an alternative you can choose to relax in the hot tub while counting the stars! A gas grill is provided if you feel like having a BBQ on the menu.

Our home is equipped with new 55 inch Smart TVs. Bring your login info for your favorite subscription services (NetFlix, Amazon Video, Disney +, etc...). Additionally, some free streaming channels (Peacock, etc.) are available.

Guest Access:

- You have access to all areas of the chalet except for the ground floor level crawl space and the locked owner closet in the loft.

- Access our home via smart lock.

- Driveway can fit 5-6 vehicles.

- If you need a high chair or pack n play, please request at the time of booking.

- Wheel chair access is limited at this property.

- You may encounter black bears who are native to this area. They generally are shy but sometimes curious. www.bearwise is a good organization to review before your trip for helpful tips on what to expect. Please do not feed the bears.

★ Important House Rules

- Must sign a rental agreement (will be emailed after booking)

- All guests must be 25+ (children with parents are allowed)

- We recommend getting travel insurance for unexpected events. No refunds for things that are beyond our control- weather/natural disasters/power outages/acts of god/etc.

- While children are welcome, this property is not toddler/baby-proof and children must be supervised at all times. If you need a high chair or pack n play, it has to be requested at the time of booking.

- Strict No Indoor Smoking or Vaping policy. Remediation fees start at $1500. Smoking outdoors is permitted.

- Strict no pets policy. If you sneak in a pet of any kind you will be charged an additional $500 and you will be asked to leave without refund.

- $50 fee for lost or damaged pool passes. Must be returned to original location.
