Cozy "Wildwood Lodge" Nestled in a Beautifully Wooded Setting - Pet Friendly

Welcome to the Wildwood Lodge! It is nestled amongst a beautiful diversity of pines, birches, and tamaracks that provide a plethora of shade during the sunniest of days! Make yourself at home around the fireplace, relax beneath the stars in the private hottub, or gather around the fire pit for stories and s'mores in this secluded Northern Michigan getaway!

Located in the Lakes of the North, an adventure is in our own backyard! From Pencil Lake to Lake Harold, you can fish, paddleboard, kayak, or relax on the sandy beaches. You'll also have access to 100s of miles of ORV adventures.

Lakes of the North is a quaint little community and has many amenities available to our guests (fee applicable). The community center offers an indoor pool, lazy river, hot tub, video game lounge, and fitness center. Outside is a tennis court and pickle ball court. Settings Restaurant is a few miles up the road and known for excellent food at good prices with daily specials prepared by culinary experts.

A well renowned 18 hole golf course is situated in the middle of Lakes of the North and offers a good range of challenges from beginners to the experienced. Within 30 miles of the Lodge are a variety of other golf courses with some bringing golfers from across the country to experience Michigan's scenic views and golfing paradises.

Wildwood Lodge is also pet friendly! Understanding how important pets are to one's family, we welcome yours! Dog dishes and water bowls are available so you don't have to worry about bringing yours. There is a fenced in area where your dogs can roam free and enjoy the outdoors without a leash!

Outside you will find a private 7-seat hottub with jets, underwater lighting, and Ozonator filtration system, overlooking the fire pit area. This spa is a high efficiency model, pre-heated and ready for you upon arrival!

For the beer connoisseurs, foodies, and quaint town shoppers, Bellaire is about a 20 minute drive where you'll find Short's Brewery, the Bellaire Bar, several boutiques, unique places like Bee Well that sells Mead, and coffee shops with homemade pastries. Your belly and taste buds will thank you!

Winter get away

Nice area, we used the pool at the club house, the grand kids loved it. Sitting in the hot tub star gazing was spectacular. Very cozy home.

Very nice

Everything was very nice. I would put a light over the hot tub. Very nice place, the fenced in backyard was awesome to have with the 2 dogs. They loved adventuring. Would stay again!

Awesome place!

Home is very clean, comfortable and well appointed. The owners have thought of and provided all the amenities needed for a home away from home, especially in the kitchen. Forgot your French Press? Dont worry, they have provided one. Air fryer and crockpot too. Bed, pillows, couches, bathroom towels - all comfortable, all very clean. Would absolutely stay here again and again.

Up North Getaway

Home was warm and cozy! The indoor fireplace was very nice! We used the hot tub (great temp) and the fire pit (rained a lot while we were there). Everything was as expected-clean, secluded etc. Kitchen was stocked well. We utilized the clubhouse-that too was very nice on an autumn day. We are walkers - Deadman’s Hill us a nice area but so is the Pine Baron Pathway. We would definitely stay again!

Quiet, secluded, pet friendly.

We had a great stay at this home. Pet friendly with the home and fenced in area that is both in the front yard and back. It would be nice if the ferns in the pet area could be cut down, however that does detract from the stay. We will definitely consider this for future stays.

50th Birthday Getaway

We had a wonderful time celebrating my brother for his birthday. There were 6 of us plus our dog and the home accomodated all of us with room to spare. We LOVED the large dining table and enjoyed family dinners each night of our stay. Highly recommend, especially if you have fur babies, very accoumodating for pets.

This house is just beautiful. I have never had such a lovely stay in a rental home. It's far enough away from everything but still close! The house is amazingly clean and the owners are phenomenal! My dog loved being able to be with us! Thank you!

Cozy, Cute and Clean

The house is clean and amenities were appropriate. The large table tho it takes up a lot of room is really nice for all to eat at especially if raining. The hot tub and fire pit were utilized each night during our stay. Drawbacks were: there is a strong dog smell presence in all carpeted rooms and sofa as well as loft chair. Something to keep in mind but house is clean. We really did enjoy our stay here, it’s really an adorable house with a nice tree setting to feel you are away from it all! Thank you!

Nice but did not meet our expectations

The indoors was very clean which was appreciated but there was a musty smell in the two bedrooms in the back of the home as if it had been damp previously. The outdoors was a disappointment. The fenced in yard for the dogs was completely grown over in the back. With a little maintenance, it could be a great yard. The hot tub was dirty so I did not utilize it. The road the cabin is on leads to a campground so it stayed fairly busy. The community amenities did not meet expectations either. It overall was not what we were expecting. It is not a bad place to stay, just not what we were anticipating

Wildwood Lodge

We had a wonderful time at the Wildwood Lodge. It was as described, maybe better. It was nicely furnished and well stocked with most anything we needed. Would highly recommend Wildwood Lodge, and would not hesitate to book again.

Fun weekend away

What a great place. Hot tub was amazing, everything very clean, easy distance to a lot of activities. Went mushroom hunting and found a lot!! Pool area was a blast Thanks again for an amazing weekend away. We will recommend and be back!!!

Great Family Spring Break Getaway

This is our 3rd stay in the Lakes of the North community. Our kids LOVE the clubhouse pool, and I think our spring break timing works out great, because we have the pool to ourselves quite a bit! This house was our favorite of all the places we've stayed in the community. It was well-appointed, and very clean with convenient access to the main roads. Gaylord is a quick 20 minute drive for food/necessities. Stephanie was extremely responsive and helped with every step along the way.

Family Trip

The house was comfortable and clean. There was plenty of space for our family of four. We appreciated the small touches, like USB plugs next to each bed and plenty of thick bath towels. We also used the pool at the clubhouse. Our kids loved it!

Great cabin!

I’ve rented a lot of places and this was probably the best. House was clean & cozy, kitchen was full, hot tub was hot upon arrival, grill was ready for grilling, the hosts allowed us an early check in and the communication was great! They even knocked some off the price when I said the nightly rate was a bit more over my budget. We would definitely love to come back! I highly recommend this rental.

We WILL be back HERE!!!

You will love this spot. It has everything you will need for a comfortable stay. It's close to many areas that you would want to visit while up north. It had everything you would need for comfort. We don't have babies anymore...but I even saw a baby play pin upstairs. Very pet friendly. We brought a grandma 94 years old, and she was very comfortable at the house. She was very happy her dog had a spot to play. If your thinking of staying here, we would highly recommend it!! Thanks to the host for a lovely stay!! Also, thank you to the cleaning person for getting the house ready for us. The cleaning person does a great job. That's a big deal when your staying away from home. Whoever the cleaner is they deserve a lot of credit.

Friends Getaway

The house is lovely and one of the best appointed properties I’ve stayed in on vacation. Beds are very comfortable. Anything we needed for cooking/grilling was there and was excellent quality. Having a washer/dryer was very nice. Being pet friendly, you’d never know it from the cleanliness and fresh scent. Nice fenced in area for their safety also. Close to lots of activities and a short day trip to Mackinaw Island and Sleeping Bear Dunes! We will be back 👍
