Great place to relax!
Very quiet and comfortable surroundings. Everything was as advertised. The only comment I have is the driveway is very steep and narrow. Glad we had a car that was all wheel drive.

Best stay ever
Peakery Pines is by far the best VRBO experience I've had in 20 years of renting VRBO properties. It starts with the great communication with both Kelly and Reid. Any questions I had were answered immediately and any issues were solved first try. The property was clean and had everything we needed for our week-long stay. But the best part was the cabin itself. Not only was the cabin quiet but the views were spectacular! This cabin is not your standard wood paneled, smokey, dreary cabin but a professionally decorated masterpiece. Reid has used his expertise and many of his own works of art to make Peakery Pines more like a resort. It can't be beat.

Long Weekend with Friends
Visiting the John C. Campbell Folk School Fall Festival was our reason for visiting the area. This home was wonderfully tucked in among a few other homes that you didn’t even know were there. It was comfortably furnished and had everything we needed for a great long weekend.

Excellent Stay
Woodsy living without the generic bear decorating scheme. Perfect place to stay to go adventure in the mountains and come back to comfort.

Cozy & Beautiful decor!
This Mountain Escape near Nantahala National Forest was a wonderful place to have Thanksgiving! Excellent views, beautiful porch, and a well-equipped kitchen for doing all our cooking. The beds were comfortable, too! It was refreshing to be in the mountains, but not be surrounded by "cabin" décor and thousands of black bear figurines. Beautiful, unique, calming, tasteful art was on display throughout the house. We really wish that we didn't have to leave. I would recommend this VRBO to anyone!

Great property
We arrived a little early and got a chance to speak with the owner. She was very helpful and gave us a few ideas to do while we where there. One was pumpkin chuckin festival. We did go and had a great time. We had a few things that needed refrigerating and she let us put our things in the fridge. Awsome views and was close to town. We had an awesome time and would definitely return.

Awesome beautiful property. We did run out of hot water so that wasn’t ideal. But everything was so clean and the view was to die for!!

A glimpse of Heaven in Autumn
The property was immaculate. Clean, uncluttered, spacious and so comfortable. Everything was high quality from the dishes to chairs on the patio and by the fire ring. The views were beautiful. Most of our time was spent on the patio and by the fire ring. Management was FANTASTIC! Every email was answered within minutes. The cabin was as advertised… AWESOME! Do be careful at the first turn up The road to the cabin. It IS narrow. It did rain and there were leaves covering the road contributing to is it being extra slippery. But that was in the dark, and even then, it was quite manageable. Just go slow. My thanks to VRBO and Management for a wonderful four days. Bobby & Xiaolin

Beautiful
This home is beautiful! Gorgeous views! Really enjoyed the location and property. My only recommendation is better lighting in the bedrooms. The lamps didn’t provide enough light in the room.

Gem of a Retreat
This is not just a cabin in the NC woods with marvelous views, but a GEM of a retreat beautifully appointed in every way. It is well equipped, including supplies of most essentials that many properties don’t supply. It is secluded, yet not far from surrounding towns and excellent restaurants like The Crown and The Copper Door. The host was readily available and responded promptly to inquiries. Our first stay here was for seven days, we loved it so much, we extended for another four days. We would love to stay at this retreat again.

Highly recommend
We would love to visit this cozy cabin again! We visited the first week of July. The mountain view is wonderful and the ability to cook every night was great. Ingles grocery store is about 20 minutes away. We washed all our clothes before we left to make returning home and unpacking a cake walk! The cabin is clearly an art gallery with all the up lighting. Alot of detail was thoroughly thought out when decorating. The walking sticks on the wall tho, are decor, and not for walking! HA! Our communication with the owners was genuine and wonderful. I even made a special request and they graciously fulfilled it! We drove to Blairsville, Ga, visited the Smoky Mountains and went white water rafting at the NOC on our 5 day stay. The cabin AC works WONDERFUL! The internet device they use for internet did fairly well even thru bad thunderstorms. A few call outs to consider- the driveway is narrow & steep. You will need a two wheel drive or really good tires to reach the top. Another, if you are a TV lover, there is only one TV. And the TV can be heard thru the bedroom walls/door so be sure to turn off the subwoofer. If you are seeking peace and solitude for your soul then you must rent this sweet cabin!

Very quite location
Excellent views, very clean accommodation. The only mild complaint would be access to property, very steep. Again, small price to pay for the views

Wonderful Escape from the City
We spent the weekend rafting and relaxing on the patio of the house and could not have asked for a better mini-vacation for the long weekend. Everything about the house down to the decor is cozy and relaxing. We hope to visit again soon!

Weekend Stay in the Mountains
My husband and I went to the mountains for the weekend. We were fortunate to have found this lovely property which just recently had been listed with VRBO. The property was neat, clean and well organized. It’s interior was decorated beautifully. The porch was very relaxing where we enjoyed drinking our coffee and enjoying views of the mountains. On the ground level is a fire pit with everything we needed to spend a relaxing evening by the fire. We had a great weekend and our only regret was not staying longer.
