Although snow here is rare, in the winter, 4WD or AWD may be necessary. Cell service is spotty in the mountains, we highly recommend you download the maps of the area for offline use prior to travel, just in case service is lost.
• There is a Ring security camera located in the front of the Cabin.
• Bears are dangerous! Please practice bear safety (guidelines will be posted on the refrigerator). Remember to keep your doors locked, throw trash in the bear-proof containers, don't feed or try to approach a bear, and don't leave any food outdoors, including on the grill nor in your car. We subscribe to monthly pest control, however this cabin is in the wilderness, which comes with bugs & other wild animals such as bears & snakes.
• Airport: McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville is a 1hr 30min drive to our cabin and is the recommended airport to fly into if you’re coming to the Smokies.
