The property location was nice but the property owner accused us of damage to the property that was false and without verification from me, charged me $800 for said damage. Very rude during communication.
The house was clean and in good condition. The air conditioning was set and had a box around it so you cannot adjust. It got pretty hot especially upstairs. They do have a window unit in one room upstairs but not the other.a lot of the light bulbs were out in the kitchen, so it was pretty dim while cooking. They do not give you access to the garage, it’s an inconvenience because you can’t pull in and unload. We had to unload float’s etc in the front door and find a place to keep them. It would have been nice if it were in the listing that they don’t let you use it. The property manager got back to us in a timely manner. It was easy check in and out. The instructions were not very clear on checkout. We cleaned and put all sheets and towels in the laundry room. This was an okay stay.
We were a little nervous about this stay from reading the previous reviews but were very pleasantly surprised. Huge house with plenty of room and nice backyard! Thelocarion of the place was great as we had an HEB and Walmart very close by, and Buc-Ces was just a few exits over. This place was set to 72 when we arrived and was pretty cool throughout the stay. Kitchen had more than enough plates, cookware, and spices for us to cook a few meals. Our group had a fantastic time and will definitely try to book again when we plan our next river trip!
The house is extremely clean & Check in was simple. Only negative thing I have to say is I wish the thermostat wasn’t locked in a box. Upstairs was extremely warm and we couldn’t turn the temp down.
Other than the AC messing up… everything went very well.

Getting information about access to house beforehand was difficult.
When we arrived house was 82 degrees HOT and miserable. We turned the a/c to 70 but it took 12 hours to get to 70. It's a Texas summer, why is the house at 82 at all?
Light switches didn't all work and some where blocked by tape. The comforter on master bed was too small.
Wish the host had left instructions about dishes, laundry, TV, etc..

Vacation from Hell.
Overall, the condition of the rental was acceptable. However, the temperature inside the home was 85 degrees inside and did not cool down until morning . While inspecting the house, we noted that the upstairs handrail was loose and inspection revealed that it had been repaired previously and the workmanship was poorly done. The end in question had been attached to the Sheetrock alone with no stud to attach to. There is no way that this will hold. The previous repairs included poor work with regard to texture.
When I spoke to the wife, through an interpreter, I was told that she was aware as the rail had been loose several times. I told her that we did not want to be held responsible and she said not to worry about it because they were aware. This concerns me because a handrail is a safety issue and someone could have been injured if it had failed. Overall, I would not recommend that anyone leases this property. The man identified as Joseph disagreed that they knew anything about this. If we had caused this problem, we would have no problem spending the cost of repair contacted the client but instead he chooses to be dishonest and we had to pay $300 for something that we did not do.
