The space
Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. It’s a family-oriented beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave! The home lies directly in the middle of both Carolina and Kure Beaches and is a long walk or short drive from downtown Carolina Beach and everything that is has to offer.

In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or party boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier complete with bait, tackles, and more!
The Carolina Beach Lake is nearby, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday and FIREWORKS every Thursday! We welcome you to sit back, relax and enjoy yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for!
The entry to this 3 bedroom, 3 bath suite opens up into a large, newly furnished family room combined with an open dining area and fully equipped kitchen (stove+oven, refrigerator). The kitchen is stocked will all of the basic cooking and dining utensils one can expect (plates, bowls, cups, silverware, etc.). In addition, there is a microwave, toaster, coffer maker and blender ready to help make yourself at home (and on Vacay!).
A few of the amenities provided by your Owners include courtesy large shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel left in the bathroom of each bath as well. Also, a roll of TP in each bathroom, 1 roll of PT in the kitchen, 2 garbage bags per garbage, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, dryer sheets, hand soap, dish soap, a sponge, coffee, tea, and pure cane sugar in each kitchen. Additional items are likely on sight as well!
Two bedrooms are equipped with ONE QUEEN bed and TWO TWIN + TWIN bunks which round out the main floor landscape. Up a flight of steps sits the master bedroom complete with KING bed, on-suite full bath, and private balcony with a PEEK of ocean views. The homes ONE KING, ONE QUEEN and TWO TWIN + TWIN bunk bed's consists of either a plush luxury mattress or a new encased 8” memory foam/cooling gel composition mattress because we want all of our guests to be comfortable when it comes time to recharge.
There are multiple Smart WIFI TV's along with a WIFI computer connection for when it's time to sit back and enjoy some movies or shows after a long day at the beach! Bring a Fire Stick, Apple TV, Laptop w/ HDMI cable or other such casting device if looking to ensure all of the tech comforts from home are available during your stay!
We equip each suite with its own books, games, and misc. accessories to help cover the basis for our guests to enjoy themselves in rain or shine. Sometimes however, these items are removed from the suite and not replaced and we do not realize it (tsk tsk!). If you notice something we’ve bragged about missing please let us know!!!
The outdoor shower is off to the left side of the building in order to help keep the stand outside on the beach!
Neighborhood description
The home itself is 5 short blocks from the nearest beach access. The property is a short drive from down town Carolina Beach with its shops, activities and dining and is equidistant to the smaller, but just as charming down town Kure Beach. Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and vacationers all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and atmosphere. We truly have an amazing community!
Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhood offers an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Finishing on the Kure Beach Pier, Kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesn’t even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more relaxing and less “adventure” is your speed. Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be a great time.
And between the beach and Down Town Wilmington, boy do we have FOOD, Festivals, and good times!
Getting around
There isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has several vendors such as Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 308 S Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks, chairs, and umbrellas) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. There's Sun Fun Rentals @1204 N Lake Park Blvd Unit F Carolina Beach, NC 28428. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island!
After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). Everything you need is right here!
Guest access
The HOME: Guests have full access to their own private HOME (never shared) along with a respective deck, patio, or balcony.
PARKING: Each reservation will have access to (3) THREE assigned carport parking spaces. Parking elsewhere on premises or along the street can result in a tow.
The YARD: The backyard/front yard is intended for both units to be able to congregate, BBQ, play, and have a blast. Please do NOT let your pets loose. Feel free to utilize the front yard, side yard, or any number of amazing neighborhood walks to help your furry child relieve themselves.
•Closest BEACH access: Alabama Public Beach Access (Alabama Ave).

•Salt Water Real Estate has partnered with the absolute best vendors our Island has to offer to help ensure guests can spend more time enjoying themselves and less time researching! Our partners include the Tony Silvagni Surf School for professional surf lessons, bicycle, umbrella and chair rentals, Hot Ticket Fishing Charters, Salty Dog Yoga, Amy’s Rise N Shine, and Griffin Cleaning and linens.
•Linens
(Sheets, bath towels, wash cloths pillowcases, wash cloths, bathmats) ARE included as part of the rental here (excluding beach towels which can be rented through scrubandgo@griffinscleaning dot org. If requiring extra or non-included linens, please reach out to Griffin Cleaning Services who is a partner with SWRE and will assist in any way possible! Please make sure all linens are placed in the basket or hamper before your departure! Please let all BED LINENS on the beds remain on the beds for our TEAM to take care of! GOLF CARTS
•To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorcycles, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple vehicles, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such.
•The home is non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways.

•April 1st through September 30th, dogs are allowed on the Carolina Beach during restricted hours of BEFORE 9:00 am and AFTER 5:00 pm. On the extreme North End of Carolina Beach, dogs are allowed on leash 24/7 on leash. In Kure Beach, dogs are NOT allowed at any juncture. Fort Fisher allows dogs on leash on the beach 24/7. Please be responsible to follow all town pet ordinances and have an awareness as to which beach you are on at all times!
•There is a $100 non-refundable pet fee for one approved pup and a $50 pup fee for a second. There is a two-dog maximum unless an exception is granted. Cats are not allowed on premises. If inquiring about a different pet request, please ask!
•Any interactions between your furry child and other neighbors (animal OR human) are completely at your discretion (and *liability). Please be a responsible pup owner and protect yourselves and others as may be necessary!
•Pups are NEVER allowed on any furniture. (*Single biggest added charge)
•Be sure to use a broom or vacuum if your buddy sheds in excess.
•Do NOT let your pup bark excessively in any multi-unit environment.
•ALWAYS pick up after your pup IMMEDIATELY.
•Please always consider TRAVEL INSURANCE from your respective booking site or vendor to help protect your costs in case of inclement weather or last-minute travel complications (court, illness, etc.). These items are NOT refundable scenarios.
