Welcome to the Blue Bayou. This well-appointed, hidden gem features a spacious living space, including an all-season Florida room where you can have your morning coffee, dine, play games, watch the kids catch fish from the dock, nap on the sleeper sofa, or work from the provided desk.

There are plenty of relaxing outdoor spaces to enjoy at this home. The grassy yard makes the perfect picnic location, while the covered porch is ideal for sipping a favorite beverage and enjoying the view. The house has 100 feet of water frontage that includes deep water access on a protected no-wake zone waterway. Guests are encouraged to bring their boats as this property sits across from the Bill Dickinson boat launch, has a dock you may tie off to, and provides quick access to Pensacola Bay and the intercoastal waterway. No boat? No problem. Launch your paddleboard or provided kayaks directly from the property. Catch Redfish or Speckled Trout from the dock. And keep an eye out for an exciting dolphin sighting - they tend to make an appearance around dusk.

Inside, guests can enjoy the vibrancy of the home - every room is a different color. Relax in the charming yellow living room. Watch your favorite TV shows while lounging on the sectional. When hunger strikes, take advantage of the beautiful kitchen sparkling with stainless steel appliances. It’s well-equipped to handle any cooking need. Dine together at the kitchen island bar or the dining area with a beautiful view of the bayou. At night, rest your head in one of three bedrooms.

This colorful house on the Bayou Grande is a perfect hidden gem. The home is centrally located on a quiet street with no through traffic. Its proximity to beaches and downtown, and the access to a boat launch, make it a great home base for lots of adventure.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. What’s not to love about this beautiful house. We enjoyed our stay and everything was close to us so not far from the beach. It comfortably sleeps 8 people. Definitely coming back on my next visit to Florida.

Almost but not quite…
Nice view and house was clean but a number of issues here such as the outdoor grill was not working, TV was a nightmare requiring a subscription to use (missed NCAA National championship game, thank you), just one lamp in main living areas requiring use of stark white LEDs in the ceilings that you cannot dim. And note that Vacasa pretty much does not answer the phone so you are on your own when there is an issue.

So roomy!
Loved this beautiful house on the bayou! Great access for boats, and lots to do with fishing and kayaks provided. The house on the inside is beautiful and roomy and the patio addition is amazing! Lots of room, and every amenity you could think of! I would definitely stay here again.

Unexpected Surprise!
The house was perfect, clean, everything worked as it should and any question I had were answered promptly. To top off the stay we got a surprise performance from the Blue Angels right off the back deck!! Perfect end to a great vacation

Great house
Property was nice. House had good space, nice bedrooms. Great view of the bay, and use of kayaks. Fish poles weren’t much, needed new lines. Some of the lights were confusing to use , the fan in the master went off if you turned the light off, batteries were out on the remote. Very little supplies in the house, but we only stayed 3 days. About 20-30 mins to just about anywhere y you ou wanted to go. So pretty decent location.

Cozy and roomy
The home was large enough for my family of 12, plenty of space for everyone to roam around and not bump into each other. The views of the bayou were amazing ! The kayaks came in so useful and fun wasn’t expecting those. Fished off the dock and everyone had a blast. 10 out of 10 because when we arrived there was no internet and they had it for me with in a day so thankful for that and they brought us a new remote so we could watch the tv… I would definitely recommend this home and would love to stay here again.. just 12 miles to the beaches and 5 min from eateries and Walmart and gas stations for those forgotten supplies. Loved the house and all the service that was provided!

Family Fun Vacation with the Blue Angels
My family and I decided to have a change of pace and stay out of the crowded areas of Orange Beach / Perdido Key where we have usually stayed for our vacations for 20 years. As that area has grown in popularity (especially during and after the pandemic), the traffic and crowds have become too much to handle. This hidden gem is right on the water and they have two kayaks that you can take out and enjoy the water and scenery. Our favorite place in this home is the sun porch where we overlook Bayou Grande and the sunrises and sunsets without all the traffic, noise or crowds. We had to drive around 15 minutes to get to a public beach access on Perdido Key which might be the only draw back to the location if you want to have quick access to the beach. Otherwise, there is a Super Wal Mart, Super Target and and Aldi's grocery store about 5 min away. Also, if the beach isn't totally your thing, downtown Pensacola is about 15-20 minutes away so you can get the best of both worlds (beach scene and city scene) without too much travel time. Finally, because the property is located across the Pensacola Naval Air field, the Blue Angels were practicing their flight formations across water and over the property for an hour. For some it may be loud but my kids and I loved the free show!

No description of the subpar neighborhood
Even though the property itself was nice and the amenities on property were good...The neighborhood was not nice at all and the lack of description of the neighborhood was deceiving. That is our only complaint. The house itself was very nice, but the location was not great at all.
