The house and property are exactly as pictured. Very clean and easy to access, just far enough off the beaten path without adding excess travel to local sites. The views are spectacular, enjoyed the outside space just as much as the inside. Perfect for our family of 4. I would recommend this house to anyone interested in staying in this area.
We had a great experience renting this property for our family. The property was in great shape and the host was very responsive to our questions and requests. We utilized the dock and rented a boat during our stay. It could not have worked out better! We would rent again in a heartbeat.
The house was very clean and well stocked with everything you could want, from kitchen gadgets and spices to detergent by the washer/dryer. The quiet location was close to Bath, Brunswick, Booth Bay, and Popham Beach. We enjoyed the views from the dock - Doubling Point Lighthouse, the Maritime Museum, and the Bath Iron Works. Fishing off the dock at dusk was fun.
We liked this property, it’s location, and host so much that we decided to stay an extra day. The photos don’t really do it justice. It is a pure Maine experience. The location is remote and quiet enough to give the experience of being in the woods but accessible and close to many attractions in the area. ( I especially recommend a day trip to Reid State Park!) The short path ink the back of the house leads to a nice dock on the beautiful Kennebec River and the outdoor space with patio was relaxing. The house was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was large and well equipped and all of the beds were comfy. The host was very kind in helping me work out a small confusion with VRBO and responded to messages in a timely manner. Hope we can return again for a longer stay.

House is clean and neat. A bit spartan perhaps but the house is fine and everything seems in working order. Nice that the host provided bottled water. Automatic switching backup generator was a very welcome surprise when a storm caused a local power outage! Loud window a/c for cooling.
Location is near Bath ME. Access is rough. Literally a mile long rough and rutted dirt/gravel road when you get off the paved highway. At 15 miles an hour, it got quite tedious going in and out. We love the coast of Maine, but overall the town of Bath and surrounding area was a bit dissapointing.
Let me start by saying that the house and the location were absolutely beautiful. It was surrounded by nature but still close enough to town that you didn’t feel too secluded.
The issues we had was with the AC and the furniture. I have a medical condition and have to have air conditioning but when we got to the house, the only AC were portable units in each bedroom and although they cooled the bedrooms really well, they were loud and have a blue light that lights up the room so I really got no sleep. The rest of the house was so hot and humid, we ended up having to leave the bedroom doors open and hope the portable units would cool the rest of the house.
We were 4 adults and the furniture in the living room was just not appropriate for multiple people. The 2 chairs are beautiful but are wood frames and not comfortable at all for sitting and relaxing. The sofa cover was Ill fitting and kept bunching up.
Also, the upstairs king bedroom was fine but the queen bedding looked worn and had some stains.
We had a great visit to Maine and will be back next year. Just not to this property. It just seemed like the attention to detail wasn’t there.
