Beautiful! The Studio is a 2 bedroom remodeled farm home on the side of a mountain overlook a small town, Dan's Mountain and Knobley Mountain valley to the west. Great deck with beautiful sunsets from the front deck. Hear trains going through the mountains in the distant. Enjoy the great gardens and the birds while enjoying a fire is the pit just off the master bedroom.

The description says "smoking in designated areas" the homeowner didn't disclose that she smoked in the home until we arrived n we decided to leave after 3 nights instead of the 7 days our eyes n throat was irritated by the nicotine order
The inside remodel showcases the hostesses love of art!
It was a good place for us to stay for a couple of nights while we were hanging around the area.

Shelia has a nice home. The remodeling was spot on and her artistic theme blended well. Furnishing and kitchen were complete and appreciated.
Drawbacks were that the yard was not mowed, the grill was dirty, deck unswepted, decking and walk way in front need stained or painted. The shower was not to our taste. All over we liked our stay and may return again.

Mountain property, very steep
I checked in early thanks to the owner contacting me. I had trouble finding the place because Apple Maps connected to the wrong address. The property is not a rental so expect many personal touches. Be aware that there are off leash dogs in the neighborhood. Be aware that there is a strong smell of smoke that may or may not lead to breathing/sneezing/coughing issues. The neighbors have ATVs, you might hear them if you are outside. The hot tub was nice and easy to access.
The home is very nice, separated from neighbors enough to feel alone with the group you choose to bring. We loved the hot tub spa, and really appreciated being able to bring our pet along on our weekend vacation. However, the house smells heavily of cigarette smoke, and I don't think that this is a smoker's home was in the information. That's why I give it a middle cleanliness score. We were able to air out the house enough and get used to it enough that we still enjoyed ourselves. Others might be more sensitive though.
This house is the definition of gorgeous! I absolutely loved our stay and it was super simple to check in and out! The homeowner was very nice and answered Al my questions promptly! Would stay here again!
Perfect accommodations and such a unique place! Sheila checked on us multiple times to see if we needed anything. Great communication and just a generally sweet soul! We would definitely stay here again if ever back in the area!
The house was very well decorated with the owners won art and in a good location with a marvelous view of the mountains. It is convenient to Cumberland, while outside the city. The only real problem was the odor of cigarrette smoke as soon as you walk inside. I am an ex-smoker myself but it hit me right away, so I suspect the owner is the smoker, it was not from guests. This needs to be advertised as a smoking resedence to avoid renting to people with lung problems.
This house is marvelous. Beyond words for me and the view was spectacular. The only downside was there was absolutely NO hot water and NO apology. I totally get things happen anywhere you go, but I believe I was atleast owed an apology. It is private partially. You definitely have your privacy in areas of the house on the outside. But there are neighbors around. They never bothered us which was fantastic. There was no cell reception anywhere around. Even West Virginia area was terrible for cell service. Be prepared for that when traveling. Know your way back. All in all the trip was fantastic and we really enjoyed the hot tub and the home. We would definitely come back when the place has hot water, I'd love to use that shower lol.
We picked Cumberland as a starting point for a two-day bike trip along the Great Allegheny Passage. Great spot to come back to after many miles of riding, especially with a hot tub awaiting us. Extra treat was watching a thunderstorm come over the mountain. Would do it all over again.
We enjoyed our stay, the hot tub was super clean and enjoyable. Plenty of places to sit and take in the view in and outside the home. We enjoyed our visit and hope to return. Great location for local exploration or staying in.
The cottage was as described, all amenities were excellent. There were no issues with anything in the home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was modern, up-to-date, and Sheila responded to the very few questions we had almost instantly. We would definitely recommend it if Cumberland area is your destination.
