Woke up after the first night with bites. Live bed bugs were found in two bedrooms. Owner call an exterminator and they confirmed live bugs and activity. Asked for a refund and owner said the problem could not be rectified during our stay. Did not receive refund and owner did not offer any other options.
We stayed the week before Christmas. The location is walking to everything. It is over a few streets so it is much quieter. The house is large and beds are very comfortable. The second floor shower is a deep garden tub so it would be more difficult for some to get in and out of. We cooked a lot and had all the things we needed. Just be sure to bring spices etc. the back courtyard is so lovely. The hop on train stops next door which is convenient. Our senior beagle loved the house also! The owner was very responsive and answered all our questions. The house is old so it has it’s character but we absolutely loved our stay!
We truly enjoyed this home and especially enjoyed our time in the courtyard. The fountains were not working yet. I believe they are still in process of being installed. It will be especially special when these are functioning. This did not put a dapper on the beauty of this courtyard.
Don't let the room with the twin beds fool you. We had the choice of any of the rooms (the privilege or being older or being the one that took care of the accommodations) and this was the room we choose.
I would definitely visit this home again.
Nice location with a musty smell which I guess comes from old properties.
The master bedroom sheets were dirty and the mattress pad bloody. We changed those the rest are okay. How to washer dryer but no dish soap in the very minimum possible on all the other things. The property was wonderfully located next to the Old trolley is stopped two doors down. I first conversation with the property management company they were rude got a little better later. The only reason I can recommend it is the location is excellent and overall it was clean. I think a bit overpriced
Great location walking distance to many places and restaurants. Great parking two spaces. We backed in making it easy to get out. 4 bedrooms with one on 3rd floor. Having two showers was great. 2nd floor a little warm despite first floor very cool. The house is 200 years old. So it’s to be expected. Ceiling fans were helpful. 3rd floor was nice and cool. One of the ghost tours talks about the homes on this street. Pretty cool! You also are right on the hop on hop off route. Loved!!!!! this house and the host was very responsive and helpful. Recommend this house to anyone visiting St Augustine

Grand house, not so great owner and property manager
The house was perfect! We had to contact the host about the cable. it was not relevant to our stay as we don’t need the WiFi. However, she was very quick to respond. The house is beautiful and close walking distance to shops and dining. The back courtyard was perfect for relaxing after a long day. We would stay there again!
The property is in old town and within 3/10 of a mile to my niece’s wedding venue, the White Room. This was so convenient for us as we hosted a brunch for the bridesmaids the day of the wedding and there was plenty of seating and a half-bathroom on main floor. The house is cozy and the inside temperature stayed very comfortable and cool, especially at night. The washer/dryer is also convenient. There is a nice landmark (Oldest House) with a trolley stop directly to the right of the house. Parking is a breeze and the spacious, private courtyard is a great feature. Very pleased 😀 with the overall experience and I recommend it. Only one word of caution: the stairs are narrow and steep, so consider the elderly in your party. Most rentals in St. Augustine will have stairs, however.

Great location but as with any older home, had challenges
I arrived and had trouble opening the outer wooden gate. I contacted the host - after trial and error and additional instructions I was able to gain entrance. The upper latch is operated by a thin wire that was not working. At the suggestion of the host, I attached some tape to prop it open.
The home itself is charming - great location in walking distance to restaurants and easy access to the hop on/off trolley if you have pre purchased tickets. Unfortunately the AC was not working at all on the second or third floors where the bedrooms were located. We had difficulty sleeping until our final night when the ac was fixed. Of course we were there during hot weather - I suggest bringing your own fans if it happens again.
The kitchen was missing a cutting board and blender (advertised but not there) and there were not enough washcloths or hand towels for our party of 4. The tub in the main bathroom was very deep and difficult to get into to shower.
We loved the garden terrace but got bitten by bugs. My friend had to go to urgent care after a large bite - possibly a spider.
Plenty of space for relaxing. The house had most of what we needed.
If you are planning to cook bring spices, cooking oil, anything - there are pots, pans and baking items as well as a keurig coffee maker and toaster.
The host was responsive- she mentioned asking for a credit for the ac inconvenience, but that did not happen.
Lots of supplies for the beach.
Water features, dishwasher, Fridge.
Girls trip was a success here, close enough to walk to historic downtown, shops, restaurants, and sites. Great courtyard to hang out in the shade of a big Oak. We enjoyed the house greatly!
Upon arrival to the property, the instructions were clear except an additional lock was added. It didn’t work properly and we had to contact property manager. This occurred a few times. The air conditioning worked but not well on the sleeping level. The courtyard was a beautiful relaxing space.
We came to town for a family wedding and the house was the perfect quiet getaway for our family. Convenient location - right next to a stop on the trolley line at the Oldest House. A quick walk up the block has you up at the water. Lots of historic charm and the courtyard is beautiful. Also the beds were very comfortable.
We stayed with family for a short visit to see the beautiful lights of the city before they were taken down for the year. The home is awesome and the courtyard is really the best part of the house! We spent a lot of time outside enjoying it! The house is within walking distance from the downtown historic district and in a safe nice neighborhood… we rent places at least a couple times a year here and would definitely rent here again. House is well kept, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable… totally enjoyed it with our group of 8
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location and fairly quiet. Lots of history right around the house. Easy walking from downtown. Note that the bathroom on the second floor is a garden style tub and shower and was challenging for the older folks. Other than that, nice place.
Love this place! Historic home that allows you to be immersed into the history of the oldest city in the US. We stayed for a long weekend, four nights. Every morning we ate breakfast out in the beautiful courtyard. The historic home has all the modern conveniences, but still feels historic. We were able to walk to all the museums, restaurants and entertainment areas of old town. We will definitely be back.
The house was incredible and in a perfect location where you can walk to many of the attractions. I would stay again at this house next time I am in the area!
We were able to walk to the Old Town quite easily. Parking at the property can accommodate only 2 mid-size cars. Beds were very comfortable. Appliances were in almost new condition.
Really nice part of town within walking distance of the main entertainment areas. But at the same time in a quiet street. An old building, so don’t expect a traditional layout. Furnished well, but kitchen is dated. Has a nice courtyard too. We had a minor issue (plumbing in an old building) which made one of the two showers (no bath) inoperable. But the host sorted the problem promptly,
This house was amazing for our group of 8. Our 2 families vacation every year and this house and location was the best in a long time. The house was very charming and walking distance of all some great stops in St. Augustine. We'd recommend this for any group with older children.
We lived in St. Augustine for 17 years and came back to visit friends. We have stayed in a few places since we have been gone but decided to stay in a location near downtown. This home had charm, and room and was perfectly located. Stacy was an amazing host that was communicative throughout our stay and leading up to it. It was a great visit and a location we will definitely stay at again.
