About this property

✨On the River, Play in Tunnels or Relax in the Swim Spa✨

Skipping Stone is nestled on 3 acres, directly on the Little Pigeon River, Gatlinburg's preeminent trout stream, with hundreds of feet of river frontage.

Aside from its 'right smack there on the river' location, this luxurious lodge is the absolute, bar none, best of accommodations with over 4,200 square feet, 10' ceilings, massive bedrooms (4 identical master suites with king-size beds) and spacious decks overlooking the river.

Luxuries and amenities of Skipping Stone include HDTV, extensive DVD collection, Playstation 2 and XBox 360 on request, excellent kitchenware and dinnerware, stainless steel appliances and Direct TV with tons of premium movie channels. Each bedroom features its own HDTV and spacious, well-appointed bath with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Hardwood floors and the stacked stone fireplace create a cozy mountain atmosphere. The game room is fully equipped to occupy any guest of any age.
This cabin will spoil you either indoors or out.

Aside from the house, the river is the real highlight here. Simply put, the setting is stunning with unobstructed upstream and downstream views except for the river house across and a few hundred feet upstream. Looking back from the river, only one house is visible for as far as the eye can see. Directly in front of the two floors of decks is a fabulous swimming hole and rapids. You will need a license and we can furnish all necessary information. The gorgeous view, sounds of the rushing river and gentle breezes make dinner on the deck an unforgettable experience.

This million-dollar-plus lodge was completed in 2006 with no detail overlooked.
Treat yourself to something truly special, the very best of settings and accommodations...
a home you will definitely want to return to again and again.

The most perfect place to stay in the mountains
If you love the mountains and especially the mountain rivers and creeks, then this is the perfect place for you. I have stayed here 2 years in a row over fall break with my entire family and my daughter's dog It is so private and secluded we did not have to worry about the dog disturbing anyone.

A Great Getaway Location For The Whole Family
This cabin has a great setting located right on the river with almost full seclusion. There was plenty of room for all to have their own space with the 4 large master bedrooms and a lot of nice amenities like large outdoor spaces to relax in including the swin spa, fireplace, hot tub and the creek. The younger kids loved playing in the tunnel system and the game room. Very close to Gatlinburg (15 minutes) and Pigeon Forge (25 minutes) where a ton of activities of all types are available.

Wonderful, relaxing trip! Such a beautiful lot!!
My family loved staying in this beautiful, spacious house. The river running by was so relaxing and the long porch on the first and second floor were perfect to enjoy the view. The strip at Gatlinburg was about a twenty minute drive, but after being here you will likely find yourself wanting to cook and stay in! Thanks for a much needed break and a great family weekend! Relaxing getaway!
This was the absolute best all time vacation rental we have ever found! (30 years of visiting.) Quiet and secluded location, excellent river fun- floating, fishing, rock skipping, exploring/climbing! Owner provided floats, tubes etc. Swim spa, gas grill, and outdoor fireplace were amazing. Covered porches well appointed and relaxing. Bedrooms all equally "Master" sized located opposite of each other on floors 1 and 2; All with own sliding glass doors to porches. Huge home lots of room for adults and children. Wonderful play area on top floor- pics don't capture the offerings! Also a ping pong table in addition to pool table ( needed chalk). Large enough for two to three families! Drive way is very steep- might be tricky during bad weather. Grocery/dollar store/hardware store all close by for any needs. Actually located off of stop light 3 in Gatlinburg-so very close to shopping and fun. Only negative was clothes dryer needed servicing- wouldn't heat up- so took forever. Also would have been convenient to have a hair dryer in at least one bedroom. Plan on returning many times. Thanks for sharing your lovely home!

Long time renter at this fabulous home - the best place to stay in Gatlinburg/Pittman Center area
My family has been staying here since the summer of 2010. We have stayed for as long as four weeks. It is my favorite place ever for staying in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. There are four master suites. In addition there is a pull-out couch in the large family room on the second floor, along with sleeping areas (futon and pull-out couch) on the third floor. There is ample room for your family/friends to spread out and enjoy the property. What is the best part about this home is that it sits right smack on the Little Pigeon River. And the river right in front of the house has areas where you can easily walk/wade into the water. And there is a great "swimming hole" there too. So, the river is both shallow and deep - whatever you want, it is right there. The water is crystal clear, and you can see the fish swimming about! Our six year old grandson put on his goggles, and he was swimming under water, trying to catch the fish! The water is crystal clear - this is the water that comes from the mountains in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park - the Greenbrier entrance to the GSMNP is about three miles away from the house. The water could not be any purer/fresher anywhere! You can catch trout and small mouth bass here - we do catch and release. There is a swim spa and Jacuzzi outside. You can stay here, and there is no need to go anywhere else - your outdoor adventure is awaiting you out the back door! However, if you do need to go into Gatlinburg, Dollywood or Pigeon Forge, they are close by. We always make a trip out to Cosby to go to the Cosmic Ties - we shop for our tie-dye pieces there. We also make an annual pilgrimage out to Carver's Apple Farm/Orchard/Restaurant for lunch - the fritters are TDF. We do this early in our trip and we stock up on fresh apple cider, concord grapes, etc. I travel all over the world and this is one of my favorite places ever!

This house is amazing. We were able to go to all the tourist attractions in minutes but found ourselves not wanting to leave the house. The kids loved the hot tubs and the one on the deck was big enough for them to swim in. They also enjoyed fishing and the third floor kid zone. The kitchen was well-equiped and the grill looked brand new. There were plenty of books and movies around too. Our only regret was not bringing more people to share it with. I would recommend this house to anyone with a large family and active kids. We only stayed three nights. Next time I'd like to stay a week!
