Would be better without Vacasa management
I do not write reviews often, but I have to say something. I owned the house myself in the Hamptons and rented it continuously, so I expected the stay would have been on the same level that I provided for my renters.
I booked the house through VRBO and after I paid I realized that Vacasa also involved, who charged me a lot for services. So VRBO charged me and Vacasa charged me....
When we arrived to the house everything looked fine, house was neat and nicely furnished, nice appliances, the pool was large and warm, toys for kids were great, these were the pluses of the house.
The minuses: There was no hair dryers, no pool towels, and bath towels were very thin and small. Internet was very spotty and kept shutting down constantly, the front and back deck needs cleaning and power washing. All the pots in the kitchen were burned and I had to buy draino and clean them hard in order to use them, not something I want to do on vacation.
We bought the fish expecting to grill it and realized that there is no gas or gas tank and no grilling tools. We called Vacasa and they told us that local manager will come by and will bring and install the gas before we come back from the beach for dinner. That did not happened and after 45 minutes on the phone with them they told me that the owner does not provide gas or even tank for the gas at that point it was 8 pm and we were hungry, that really ruined our dinner. We had to buy gas tank and grilling tools us selves next day.
The next day when we came back from the beach, the entry door was unlocked, this was very concerning to me because we has many valuables at the house including jewelry and cash and there is no safe in the house. I called Vacasa to ask them who was at the house but they did not ever got back to me about it. Next day I had the same problem, when I came back from the beach the door was unlocked. The lock was a smart lock and this could have been a problem but no one told me why someone has been in the house, luckily nothing disappeared.
On the last day I bought late check out and when I came back from the beach with my family I could not get into the house, the code was not working. I had to be on the phone for 30 minutes before finally they provided new code. They also told me that I still have to leave on time even so I was locked out from the house and was not able to pack. I think the owners need to review their house management situation and improve some things with the house. Good Luck.
