About this property
Floating 100ft Wooden Yacht - Includes floating sauna!
Dine, sleep and relax aboard the 100ft wooden heritage ship converted into a floating Inn - The InnChanter.
Retrofitted with the style and class of the 1920's - she has been operating as a unique floating Inn on the west coast for 30 years.
Normally the InnChanter operates as a bed and breakfast and rents by the room, but you can book the ENTIRE vessel for you to enjoy exclusively for your group, wedding or event.
She is floating at anchor in the Ucluelet Inlet.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The InnChanter is a 100ft wooden heritage vessel converted into a floating Inn.
The ship can sleep 12 overnight guests making it the perfect getaway for your group. You are out floating in the middle of the inlet, with no neighbours looking back across the inlet at the town.
Aboard the InnChanter there are:
- five staterooms below deck and one above (library room)
- a movie lounge (the snuggery)
- two bathrooms
- main saloon with a wood burning fireplace
- saloon bar
- kitchen, fridge, and pantry with all cooking utensils
- grand dinning room with panoramic views of the water
- wrap around outdoor decks on main level
- 700 square foot sundeck above.
And a new addition is our floating wood burning Sauna!
INCLUDED with your stay is free access to all recreational equipment - kayaks, rowboats, stand-up paddle boards, fishing rods, and crab traps.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GETTING TO THE INNCHANTER:
- The InnChanter is floating at anchor an only accessible by shuttle boat (5 minute boat ride)
- Your reservation INCLUDES a water taxi pick-up the day of your arrival and drop-off (10am) on the day of your departure.
- Pick-ups and Drop-offs are at the town docks in Ucluelet. There is free overnight parking there for all our guests.
- Transportation is provided by a small 18ft aluminum boat
- Additional shuttle rides can be arranged for a fee.
- We also have kayaks and rowboats if you’d like to adventure to town under your own power! (Free)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MEALS:
Catering can be arranged if needed. We prepare all our meals using west coast ingredients as much as possible - foraging, catching and collecting your meals with the seasons. We can provided delicious home-made dinner, dessert, coffee/tea and biscuits, and full hot breakfast in the grand dinning room for $65/person.
WATER:
Being a vessel floating in the middle of the ocean, fresh water is limited. Upon your arrival our reserve tanks will be full (500L) and yours to use at all showers and sinks.
If you require more, Josh can transport water from town to refill the tanks.
SAFETY
For safety concerns, owners Josh and Taylor have their own separate quarters and are here for taxi rides, catering, and safety. After we get you checked-in the ship is yours to enjoy and we can be involved as little or as much as you'd like.
ELECTRIC POWER RESTRICTIONS:
We generate power via solar panels and therefore are limited when it comes to charging personal devices. We do have some charging abilities at certain times of the day for smaller devices - phones, cameras, etc. However we can not power hair dryers, CPAP machines and any other personal electronic devices needing large power draws.
We recommend bringing your own battery packs if you have them to power your devices or do without them during your stay : )
If you require large power draws we can set up some times to run the onboard generator to suit your needs.

Why they chose this property
The InnChanter has been a Bed & Breakfast on the west coast for 30 years. For many years we drove by past the InnChanter on our boats and dreamed of some day owning it. Now it's a dream come true.
What makes this property unique
The InnChanter is a totally different experience than your typical basement airbnb suite or hotel room....
First - we are floating on the ocean at our anchor and not attached to land in any way. You have to take a shuttle boat to get here and that is what creates this surreal feeling of being remote and as close to the ocean as possible. Come on - how often do you sleep on a ship?
Second - the boat is almost 100 years old and has a history that would take a meal or two to even scratch the surface of. She is all hand-crafted wood and has be restored with such charm and aesthetics you don't see in everyday homes.
