Subpar Unit with Heating Issue

We recently stayed at this unit over President's Weekend. The unit had a nest thermostat that we turned on upon arrival; however, we noticed it struggled to get past 59 degrees. We called the next morning and Vacasa sent somebody to fix it by replacing the air filter; however, the next evening we had the same issue. This continued into Day 3 of our trip (we had our 2 small children with us) and the condo was COLD. Day 3 a gentleman arrived and offered instructions to reset the Nest thermostat, which I figured wouldn't solve the issue (and it didn't). He brought us a candle and I was cordial given he didn't seem to be able to fix the issue. Told him I suppose we just had to tough it out. Fast forward and Vacasa offered me 1 night comped. Frankly the whole stay should have been comped given the condo lacked heat in the wintertime!! They stated that given the issue was due to a setting on the thermostat (not true), there were space heaters, and that I declined any other assistance (I just wanted the heater fixed) they wouldn't meet me halfway. Add to this a few other items of uncleanliness: 1. A woman's bra and clothing was left on the hook behind one bedroom door 2. Frying pan had some leftover food 3. There were 3 dinner size plates in the unit I'd recommend staying elsewhere. Last time I book with Vacasa / through VRBO.

Perfect location for a vacation

This is the second time we’ve stayed in this condo. There’s a reason why we’ve stayed here twice! It’s in a great location, quiet, comfortable, and has pretty much everything we needed for a family vacation. We went during the 4th of July and the surrounding community was great. The pool was perfect for the hot weather. We wish we were able to access the Incline Village beach, but it was private for residents only so we ended up driving over to San Harbor, which is equally as beautiful. We love this spot and will hopefully stay here again soon!

Cozy retreat

It was snowing non stop at Tahoe. We anticipated a lot of snow. My son decided to go up ahead and get some snowboarding time. Requesting for early checkin was easy. Call backs from the representative of Vacasa, was 2 out of 4 who actually called back. After a half day of snowboarding and a late lunch, My son went to property. To his surprise, he had to wash all the sheets in all 4 beds in the property. There were stains, food crumbs and smell from the maybe most recent occupant. It was a relaxing experience once we were all settled. It took us from the early check in time at 2pm to 8pm to wash and dry bedsheets and comforters. I hope Vacasa reconsiders who is cleaning their property. Appliance and furniture were high end. Complete with in unit full size washer and dryer. Which came very helpful since we were all there to do snow sports. The nearest grocery is Raleys, a 3 minute drive from the property. The nearest ski resort is Mt. Rose, a good 25minute drive considering the white out conditions we experienced while at Tahoe. Hardwood in the first floor, we used socks or bedroom slippers and fully carpeted in the 2nd floor. Heated bathroom floors was a super plus! This is our first time to rent a property, we usually stay in South Lake Tahoe in one of the hotels. We did a bit of cleaning before we checked out and made sure we pulled out all the beddings, hopefully the cleaners will figure it out to wash them for the next occupants. The experience was wonderful for us overall.

Great find in Incline Village

The condo is in a great location. It was very clean and fully stocked with everything you’d need for a trip away from home. Highly recommend!

SkiCation

We spent two weeks at the Forest Pines unit and felt comfortable and at home the entire time. The living space and kitchen are a bit cozier than in the photos but worked fine for five adults. Wifi was great. The bedrooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need, and the appliances are up to date. The unit is centrally located, making it easy to walk or drive to the store, Starbucks, and other essential stops. We had one glitch with the electronic keypad, which was quickly resolved by a readily available and friendly customer service rep. We would stay here again. We noted previous references to stained carpets on the stairs. Yes, that's true but, frankly, it's exactly what you'd expect from regular use and did not detract from our experience.

Not as Advertised

This condo was in a quiet place in Incline Village however the pictures or the description is not what we found. The description says there is a fireplace, beach chairs and grill but the fireplace had a sign on it not to use. There were no beach chairs or grill. The carpet upstairs and on the stairs was very dirty. There was a rug under the dining table with stains on it too. All of the dining room chairs had stains on them and some felt like you were sitting in a hole. The kitchen had disgusting cookie sheets and the potholders were dirty. The blind in front window was broken and we had to sit there all week with others being able to look in our condo. The 2nd bedroom upstairs had a dip in it, very uncomfortable. The bed in master had broken legs on the frame and it is also had some issues. The shower door and towels were dingy. I rented through Marriott because they advertise Marriott quality. This is far from Marriott quality however I doubt Marriott checks on these homes. The TV and internet were very spotty TV kept going out with no signal. Local Management company never contacted us although I asked several times. You can tell it was surfaced clean but poor maintenance. It never felt clean.

The most perfect condo!

When I tell you this house had everything, I mean everything, I 100% mean it! From the utensils, to the coffee press, to even Tupperware to take stuff to the beach. They thought of everything. The beds were so comfortable. You can tell high end sheets were used. There’s a fan in every room along with a portable heater. Even a humidifier! The location was perfect. Short walk to The Hyatt, short drive to 7-eleven/ Raleys. Even the location of the actual townhouse in the complex was great! A couple minor things I would say, we came 4th of July weekend and apparently the complex was given parking passes for guests. We didn’t get any. I didn’t email the rental company because the neighbor had extra and gave us some. You have no access to any of the beaches or rec center, pool in the complex etc. I knew this going in as my family was staying at the Hyatt and they gave us wrist bands to use their facilities. That’s more of an fyi:) Also the blinds in the living room didn’t work. They only stayed down. Again not a huge deal, just wanted them up at night at least. The carpet on the stairs were a little dirty, which I didn’t mind at all, but didn’t want to potentially be responsible for them from all the walking up and down. Other than those minor things, everything was perfection . Everything in the house seems brand new and modern/ clean/ up to date. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. ;)

Disappointed

While cleaning service did the best they could, the upholstery and carpets needed deep cleaning from ski season. We booked primarily for easy access to private beaches. One week before we arrived we received notice that all renters were banned to public beaches (car rides away) and owner made no effort to give us permission to apply for IVGID cards (only way to gain entrances to beaches and elsewhere in IV (quite a place of privilege now). ALSO our WIFI did not work for 50% of our stay (2.5 days and nights). We received nothing. VACASA was responsive and could have fixed it sooner but contacting the LLC owners was difficult. We never were contacted with apologies from owners. We requested a percentage discount for our inconveniences and not being able to access beaches. We got no reply. If I’d known beaches were unavailable I would have booked elsewhere for sure.
