My wife and I enjoyed the house and location. Very good directions by the owner. House was a little dated and worn, but was spacious and a good value for the . Hot tub was clean and hot.

Great for a family holiday getaway

This house has a number of great features for a family vacation, including a great layout, location and a hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped for getting everyone breakfast and dinner and the hot tub was great in the evenings. There are a number of grocery options nearby for stocking up. Would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway or a longer vacation.

Darling Cottage

After lots of communication with Vacasa and VRBO any confusion we had regarding previous reviews was all sorted before we arrived. The location couldn’t have been better. We’re already wanting to rent this house again next time we stay on the Westshore. We walked to get breakfast & coffee each morning through the beautiful neighborhood. The private beach access was also an added perk as you could just walk there and no need for parking. Dinner at Chambers and Sunnyside. Hot tub was perfect as well.

Lied about beach pass

Poorly maintained. But beach pass was most important. Disabled guest. Not allowed in because owner had not paid dues for private beach. Waited all day to hear if could be remedied, never called back. House generally not clean, poor lighting, no 3 bedroom with queen blowup mattress, kitchen utensils dirty.

Missing a bed

we were informed ours before we were due to arrive that one of these bedrooms would no longer have the queen bed as advertised, but would have a blowup mattress. When we arrived, there was nothing in that room at all. The past to the lake to get us to the beach did not work because the owners of apparently are delinquent on their dues. We had to push the master bed closer to the wall because the rails were coming apart from the frame. There is an overall dinginess and lack of light. Would not recommend

Cute little chalet

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. The area is beautiful, the lake might be the clearest water in America. The home was clean and accommodating. The neighbors are very friendly. All in all definitely worth the stay! Thank you Alpine Heaven for having us.

We were very disappointed to arrive at the house to find signs for electric fence and ZERO instructions in check-in email. Turns out the fence was not on but there should have been an explanation in the email. Especially since bungee cords were across all 3 doors. Upon entering we expected two queen beds and bunk bed with double beds. One bedroom was completely empty, the queen bed was taken out and was in yard leaning up against deck. There was no owner manual or notes in the house regarding the electric fence, code for hot tub or how or where to access the beach association. We called Vacasa about 5pm Thursday to report our concerns. We would NOT have booked the house if we knew there were only 3 beds and we should have been notified in advance of our arrival that this change was made. Vacasa opened a ticket and on Friday we spoke to Duod who was wonderful in helping us try and figure out the details and worked to rectify the situation as best as he could even though Tahoe City was not his normal territory and he was handling for someone on vacation. When we went to the beach association we were told that the key card from the house was outdated and that the fees are overdue. They graciously still let us use the beach since the address was in their computers. This issue was reported to Vacasa as well. The cabin is in a convenient location. House is dated but fine for a few nights. Queen bed in downstairs bedroom was a bit rickety and lighting in kitchen is lacking.

Great location!

Very convenient to so many great spots for hiking and views! And lots of great restaurants nearby. Based on earlier reviews, I think the wifi must have been upgraded because it was really strong for us!

Great location and nice hot tub

The house was nice with big windows and very convenient to town and Palisades Tahoe. A big inconvenience was unreliable and wifi, and the place was pretty cold but warmed up with a fire in the fireplace.
