Bright, very quiet apartment, 31 square meters, furnished with love. Plus free WiFi. Easily accessible from all directions, on the edge of Dresden's Neustadt, a Wilhelminian-style district full of charm, history, culture, scenes, pubs and shops.
Our small apartment was furnished with love. It is 31 square meters and is composed of the hallway with attached bathroom and the living area, consisting of a kitchenette with oven, hob, fridge, sink and dishwasher, as well as a coffee machine and kettle, so that you can spend your time completely self-sufficient if necessary. The dining table with a view of the garden invites you to linger and is a wonderful, sun-drenched place, especially in the morning. The garden is always available for our guests. The loft bed (1.40 m wide) is separated by a wall from the kitchen area and separated from the seating area by a sliding curtain, below which the wardrobe and space for the suitcases can be moved and flexibly.
We live next door in the same apartment building. However, the apartment is completely separated. In this respect, communication is not a problem. We are happy to provide information about Dresden and excursion tips in the region. Otherwise we will of course leave you alone ...
The apartment is located in the middle of the lively district of Dresden Neustadt - the perfect location for a stay in Dresden!
It can get quite noisy on the streets of the Neustadt at the weekend, so it is ideal that the apartment is on a one-way street with little traffic on the edge of the district. They enjoy the advantages of being right in the middle of the action and still being able to sleep peacefully.
In just a few minutes' walk you can reach numerous bars and pubs, restaurants and cafés. You can get the nearest coffee from the Institute for Good Neighborhood on the north corner at the end of the street. There are also (organic) food and consumer goods, occasionally a concert or a whiskey tasting ... For larger purchases, there is also a supermarket with a bakery just a seven-minute walk away. Perhaps on the way you will stop at the émoi patisserie with German and French baked goods ...
In the vicinity there are numerous leisure options, such as cinema (ten minutes on foot), bouldering and climbing hall (five minutes on foot), various theaters and galleries. In addition, the entire district is characterized by old Wilhelminian architecture and some houses, such as the Kunsthofpassage, are particularly eye-catching.
The area around Dresden's Neustadt is extremely child-friendly and there are numerous playgrounds, small groves and, above all, thousands of playmates. The Alum Park can be reached in two minutes, where you can picnic, grill, boules, frisbee, football, volleyball or whatever your heart desires on a nice day. You can also borrow a slackline from us. On request, we can provide you with our beloved Holland tandem for your excursions.
Should the "play meadow" Alaunpark become too small, the Dresdner Heide is just a ten-minute walk away, through which the small Prießnitz winds and invites you to take a boat ride. Longer hikes and bike tours through the heath are a wonderful pastime and well-developed and signposted hiking trails and mountain bike tracks make planning easier.
If you are looking for a larger river than the Prießnitz, you should go to the Elbe meadows, where you can cycle, walk and skate inline. Stroll towards the Blue Wonder and beer gardens! Or in the direction of the old town and join a tour of the historic inner city of Dresden. Because even the famous buildings such as the Semperoper, Zwinger, town hall, castle and Frauenkirche can be reached at a leisurely pace in just over half an hour.
The connection to the public transport network is excellent. In four minutes you can walk to the Alaunplatz tram stop, from where you can get almost anywhere within twenty minutes and without a break around the clock.
The Neustädter train station is about a 20-minute walk away, via which you can reach the surrounding area of Dresden (such as Saxon Switzerland) or the long-distance destinations with many S-Bahn trains and trains. The nearest S-Bahn station at Bischofsplatz is 1.1 km away and can be reached in a good 10 minutes or 2 tram stops.
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment or in the hallway, but is possible in the garden.
Public parking spaces are available throughout the district. Some, and also those directly in front of the house, are chargeable (3 € / day).
