Serene and Quiet County Cottage Near HWY 50

Welcome to our secret Shangri La of the Sierras! This studio guest house is on our private 1 acre property. We live in the main house. The guest house has its own private entrance and fenced in yard. This natural setting is peaceful yet close to everything you need. 7 minutes from HWY 50. Free range chickens and bunnies on main property. Not a good place for loud noise or partying but a calm quiet place to hide and restore yourself.

Stress Free!

It's a cozy place, secluded, and safe. The locals are friendly and the nearby restaurants are super Tasty! We visited Yuki Sushi (Amazing Cuts!!), Rey Mimosa (super friendly, food great) and Papa Italian Restaurant (absolutely to die for). There's a Chinese place too, but we didn't have the extra time to visit it. I will say it's a popular place. Yes, this property was great for us.

Wonderful weekend

My grown daughter and I stayed here for a peaceful weekend away. It was very quiet and easy. We saw deer in the morning and were able to go to town quickly for our a pedicure and groceries. We had a wonderful weekend in this small and peaceful home.

Second Visit - Great Place

Foothill tranquility

We chose this property in large part for the location off the beaten path but within easy striking distance of the Folsom area. It provided exactly the peace and quiet we had hoped, and that made our down time and sleeping much better than somewhere busier. Arrival was smooth, and the property was clean, although no what I would call high level ‘industry standard’ clean. Given the length of our stay we also expected to clean as we went anyway. The kitchen was amply equipped and big enough for one person to cook at a time. There wasn’t much storage space in the kitchen, so we did smaller shops rather than a full stock-up process. The bed was comfortable, and the living space was sufficient for two people. The electric fireplace was great to knock the chill off most days, and when it was warm enough we enjoyed sitting outside. We don’t watch a lot of TV, but navigating the smart TV wasn’t super intuitive. We were able to stream on laptop or iPad just fine. Great WiFi strength. We run an online business and were able to do what we needed while there.

Cozy Neighborhood Hideaway

We enjoyed our 4-night stay in the cozy cottage with our two golden retrievers. There was plenty of room, the cottage was clean and had everything we needed to eat most of our meals in during our stay. The communication with the host was simple and had a quick turnaround. The owners give you all the space and privacy you would like. We would definitely stay again.

Great Stay

Very relaxing stay. Self check in was super easy. The cottage was very nice and comfortable. It was well appointed, with everything we needed. Lot's of books and DVDS. There were even drinks and snacks in the kitchen! Our dog Lana enjoyed it as well. She was very relaxed and enjoyed the fenced in yard as well as some short walks. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Christmas vacation

We had a wounded visit. I had myself, husband, 7year old and two small dogs for the visit. I enjoyed the openness of the small house. Also a plus was the fenced in yard for my dogs to go out safely and play around. The host was very easy to reach for any questions. We will definitely stay here again when we visit family.

Property was exactly as described and was a very private little cottage. Sarah was super communicative, and made our stay very enjoyable. The space provided us ample room and was much more enjoyable than a hotel. Would stay again!

Totally restful

We loved the cottage. Everything we needed was there. Our dog loved a fenced in yard to go out in. The weather was perfect and we really didn’t need the heater or the ac.

Relocating

I stayed at this cottage while relocating to the Sacramento area. Perfect set up for myself and my dog. Very private quiet and peaceful but very convenient to stores and access to the freeway The hosts are great. The cottage was easy to settle into and had a lot of nice touches and was well stocked.

Great little cottage!

Excellent cottage with everything you need for a great stay. Private location, next to a house but no windows facing that direction and the residents respected the cottage's privacy. The hot water in the shower and taps got hot quickly. Dishwasher, washer/dryer did a great job. The little A/C unit did a surprisingly great job when needed. The WiFi and smart TV worked great. Great hosts, and good communication.

I loved the place and wildlife (Bambi family and Thumper family) and owners. There was a plumbing issue but they were responsive and refunding me. So I believe the next guests will enjoy it with that problem care if.

Perfect retreat space

Everything we needed with no fuss or hassle. It was a small home like retreat that served the two of us and our older dog perfectly.( we just need to work on his relationship with chickens and bunnies.) we felt like this was our own private getaway, but a space close enough to food and activities. It was a perfect outside time also.

Cute and peaceful

I absolutely fell in love with this little cottage! I have a two year old and he loved the bunnies and the big fluffy squirrel who had breakfast with us one morning. The house was perfect for a couple. It’s secluded and has everything needed for a weekend getaway.

A Quiet Getaway

The house is in a very quiet location. The rooms were clean and everything worked. Sarah was extremely prompt answering questions. My only suggestion would be that she put together a book or sheet with additional instructions and information for the guests. I've seen and used these at other VRBO locations and they are helpful.
