Welcome to Barefoot Trace, one of the hottest properties on Crescent Beach. Try out the luxe life in this ocean-front penthouse, unit 415. A small low-rise complex with just sixty-six units, Barefoot Trace is a quiet hideaway for your family and friends.
Do you love the Florida sun for its restorative nature or seek balmy ocean breezes at breakfast? Fill up on both on unit 415’s large balcony. It has both patio chairs and a sun bed, suiting your preferences all day.
Tucked into nooks and crannies are a host of thoughtful extras to really maximize your space. Opposite the dining area find a useful office space, with a wide desk on which to use your laptop or write postcards.
Facing outwards towards the sea are two wicker love seats with deep cushions. Prop your feet atop the square coffee table and drink it all in. Whether you lazily nap here or read the paper, the view gets better the more you look at it. Great lighting on helpful side tables, plus a cable TV and DVD player make a great family space in the evenings as well.
The dining and kitchen areas are ideal for entertaining and keeping a group of up to six adults happy and fed. An additional breakfast bar makes a nice segue between meal prep and formal dining; a great spot to enjoy an evening glass of wine. Find everything provided in the kitchen, including all appliances (a new stainless steel GE range), cookware, toaster, and coffee-maker.
Designed with fresh, current colors, the master bedroom has splashes of turquoise and rich bed linens and a newly added 26" HDTV and BlueRay/DVD player. Fully unpack and feel at home, thanks to a large dresser and separate armoire. A delightfully retro guest bedroom has two twin bedrooms and all the charm of a ‘60s surf bungalow. Awesome

The rental was everything we wanted and more. It is exactly as advertised and even more. It is so spacious and could easily accommodate a family. The view was spectacular. I would highly recommend.

1st 4 things weren’t good. Check in across the street was totally unnecessary, information was given in email. It was in a lockbox with a code that’s numbers were so small and hard to get to, it was in accessible for me, 6’2” and old. The elevator at our end was “out of order” and this old couple had to lug all our stuff way down to the other one. We were near the end of the complex so it was actually quite the trek Then the code for the front door wouldn’t work until the 15th try, they actually had to eventually come and try to repair the locking mechanism but had to end up giving us a hard key. frustrating. The storm door was in a state of disrepair. After that…the place was very clean, beautiful views, everything else was great and overall we had a great experience. People we dealt with were fantastic and the entire facility is great.

The view is everything

The view from the balcony and master bedroom windows is amazing and felt very special for my family vacation. Access to the beach is short and easy, honestly we didn’t really need the wagon we brought for chairs and such. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to do in and around St Augustine. There was plenty of room in the condo for my family of 5. Covered parking was a plus as was the washer and dryer in the condo.

Nice well appointed condo. Problem was water was shut 3 times, once for a whole day. Elevator closest to condo never worked. Need to fix rusted lanai doors.

Great Property

The condo and property were great. There wasn't anything that we needed. Linens were all new and kitchen had anything we needed. Very quiet community. I would suggest that renters bring a beach cart with them as the walk to the beach is very long (deep beach) but that is in no way a complaint about the property. Would definitely revisit!

Amazing Beach

This was by far the cleanest softest beach that I have ever visited. Unit BFT#415 was very clean and comfortable. The entire complex felt new and well maintained, with brand new boardwalks leading to the beach. The pool is larger than most and crystal clear. There was tons of parking and even lower level covered parking which my black leather seats appreciated. The spacious elevators made the 4th floor a perfect unit with amazing views. Also, you will not be disappointed by the historic city of St. Augustine.

Clean and spacious

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property/condo. The beach was beautiful, of course, and the unit was comfortable. It was also extremely quiet. There was plenty of room for us, and all appliances worked well. The kitchen was well equipped for a family that prefers to eat homemade meals as opposed to eating at restaurants. We enjoyed the pool and overall cleanliness of the property, as well. The location was perfect in regards to the beach and was not far from grocery stores, restaurants, and downtown St. Augustine. If we return to the area, we would most likely try to book this unit again.

Nice Place on the Beach

Condo was nice place. Top floor is good with Elevator. Little bid of a walk to the beach even though you are ocean front. Everything in condo very nice, however bathroom was a little small. This area is quiet and not to far from St Augustine should you wish to visit. Beaches very nice.

our vacation stay was wonderful. The condo was a great location and I love to cook so the kitchen is always important to me and I found it to be stocked better than any we have previously stayed at. the only negative I have is the kitchen floor was not clean, did not look like it had been mopped lately.

Good experience at Barefoot Trace

Great location and very spacious condo. Sliding glass door to balcony very, very difficult to lock and unlock but can be done with repeated tries most of the time. Kitchen slightly dated except for range/stove and microwave but still nice and equipped with about anything you will need. Great closets, plenty of clean linens. Really liked the newer walk-in shower in master bath! All considered this condo was one of our favorites!

Rental week 6-29 through 7-6-2013

The condo is spacious and was very clean. The kitchen is well equipped and has about everything you would need. It has been somewhat updated but still looks a little dated. However, it is a very nice condo. Air worked great, all appliances were good. The dishwasher looks to be the original but it still worked well. The biggest problem that would keep me from coming back is the beds are all terrible. The master bed is so hard it does not even give when you lay on it. The other beds are also very hard. I had to purchase an egg crate to be able to sleep. I had seen others make the comment but had hoped the owners had taken care of it. If you don't want to buy new mattresses then think about buying memory foam toppers, so at the very least keep in the closet. That is the only part that would keep me from renting this condo again. Great views and love the location. Also was glad to see the wooden fence to the beach was replaced with an iron gate that you could use a code instead of a key.

Vacation @ Barefoot Trace

Loved the unit! Had great view and everything we needed. The only problem we experienced was unit was not ready until 5:30 PM & we checked in @ 3:00 as instructed. Male maid said he was over loaded that day. Ck in @ 3:00 was hectic but not bad just not enough room for all the cars. We would diffently come again.

Perfect Location for Family Get Together!!!

Year #3 in this unit. Fantastic location, view is to die for,weather NOT so good due to Debbie but loved it anyway. Have already reported problems with cleaning crew who were called back to finish job (towels,etc in dryer,floors not mopped,glass doors and table tops not cleaned,etc).Thus it was 4-4:30 before we could move in but having the unit next door prevented this from being the problem it would have been with other renters. At bed time we found bath rooms had not been cleaned, so I cleaned them myself. This WILL NOT prevent us from returning as everything else was TOP NOTCH!!! THANK YOU

Great view of the ocean!

We had a wonderful time at Barefoot Trace. The property is nicely kept and the condos seem very well insulated -- very quiet. We did have to wait until 4:30 to get into the unit because the person that was suppose to clean it didn't show up. A nice gentleman was cleaning it when we arrived at 3:45 and he did a great job. The condo featured a newly tiled shower and a new oven, range and microwave. It would be nice if they put a few ottoman's in the unit and maybe a nice recliner of some sort in the master bedroom. Overall a great vacation experience!

Great view and location

This condo was very nice, with an excellent ocean view. Could have cleaned the air conditioning vent in kitchen, but otherwise clean. It would be nice to have a few ottomans to put your feet on and maybe a lazyboy or some type of chair in bedroom. I liked the family table in the dining area! We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

Best Place Our Family has EVER GOTTEN TOGETHER

Only problem I saw was due to allergies I look at things others might not. The air intake for AC could stand cleaning. Otherwise GREAT, 2nd year we have used the unit and we will be back. Thank you so much!!

We did have problems with...

We did have problems with the keys that open the door that goes from the property to the beach. We were not able to go to the beach one afternoon and did not get us keys until the next day around noon.
