Custom craftsman cabin overlooking the Kings river.
This cozy cabin is newly built using mostly materials harvested on our own property and milled on our own mill. It’s called Hickory Bluff because that’s where it sits, on a bluff surrounded by hickories overlooking the river. There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a loft for children also with a queen bed. The fireplace adds to the charm as well as making sure it’s comfortable when it’s chilly out. Large deck on 2 sides allow plenty of room for outdoor activities and the grill for outdoor cooking. The back yard is spacious while the front looks over the orchard. River access is down a trail and a couple hundred yards from the cabin. It is drivable with a 4 wheel drive or UTV. The full kitchen is stocked with anything needed except food and drinks. The bathroom has a wall in shower as well as a washer and dryer. The climate is controlled with mini split HVAC in each room. Hickory Ridge is a very comfortable experience, built with love by an exceptional artist of wood and stone positioned on the ridge to have a beautiful view of the river. The 50 acre property has more than a mile of trails for walking and enjoying this beautiful part of the world. Huntsville is the closest town and is 15 minutes away, Walmart is 10. Eureka Springs is 35 minutes north and Springdale is 40 minutes. We live on the property and are available if needed but out here you shouldn’t see another person unless you go look for them, that’s the point of being where we are, solitude and serenity.

We really enjoyed the cabin and especially the great woodworking throughout. We even befriended the owners dog, and enjoyed his visits. The cabin had everything we needed and we would go back again.
My wife and I took the kids to explore the Kings and Buffalo rivers for a couple of days. This cabin was so nice and we created some awesome memories together. Highly recommend!
We loved our weekend stay in this cabin. The location is about half an hour away from Eureka Springs and is very peaceful and remote. Eveything was super clean and ready for our arrival. Great place!
We loved our stay here. So peaceful and quiet. We always go for the location and don’t necessarily care about the cabin as long as it’s serviceable. But this cabin was absolutely aesthetically stunning. Amazing place and can’t recommend it enough.
We enjoyed our time viewing the fall color in Madison County, sitting on the deck with the fire pit, and grilling even when it rained under the nice covered area! The loft was a hit with our 10 year old. We also enjoyed walks down to the river ❤️
We arrived after dark and had trouble finding the cabin. Driveway was not well marked and we did not have a phone number for the owners. But once we found it, we liked it. We really enjoyed meeting Jack, the friendly dog, and the 2 friendly pigs that came to visit.
Matt was a super attentive host who made sure we had everything we needed and then some. The cabin was cute and spacious, with each room being stocked full of essentials. We were able to walk down to the river and get a little swimming in as well. Eureka springs was a short 30 minute drive away and we found plently of places to hike on the way. Overall a great find and a great host.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was nice and fairly secluded. Had everything we needed to cook breakfast. Town was close for a trip to Walmart & dinner out. Would definitely stay here again.
This was a beautiful cabin! It was quiet and very comfortable. It had everything we needed including wood for the fireplace. We definitely recommend this cabin if staying in the area.
Cabin is as stated and shown in pics. It is a rural setting ~30 mins south of Eureka Springs. Host welcomed us and was super nice. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed, a full bath (shower), and a great porch/patio to hang out. Didn't use the wood burning stove, but split wood was available. TV is provided but only to play DVDs. If you have favorites, you may want to bring a few along if weather takes a turn. There is no network T.V., cable or wifi - otherwise would have rated the cabin 5 stars.
Property owner was easy to communicate with, very helpful and it was great experience.
The property itself was nicer than I thought. And it made for a great getaway.
This cabin is in a gorgeous, private location. The host is extremely accommodating, and the house has everything needed! We particularly enjoyed morning coffee on the porch watching the hummingbirds!
