Casa Lola Downtown Cottage

About this space
1930's restored (in 2020) cottage in historic Lincolnville. Only blocks (5-10 min. walk) from downtown shops and restaurants. Close enough to the hustle and bustle yet nestled in the large oaks of adjacent Lincolnville. Only a few miles or 5-10 min. drive to the beach. Cottage has been completely restored (in 2020) with many upgraded finishes (i.e. 2 old chimneys; original doors; marble shower, wood floors and custom cabinets) including a charming rear patio for kids/pets to play in. Very airy and bright with lots of character .
The space In its heyday was originally a bed and breakfast. It sits on a lot shared alongside the main cottage.
Guest access
Cottage sits on a lot with main cottage. The driveway is exclusively for guest use. The gated rear yard/patio is cozy and reserved for guests. Pets are allowed to roam the entire yard but can be left to roam free in the gated rear patio area.

Superior Location

Our first VRBO stay. The location could not have been better. We walked everywhere for the 3 days we stayed. Took the car out once to go to the Lighthouse. Very quiet neighborhood with lots of character. House was ideal: open floor plan, modern appliances, abundance of dishes and towels. Shower head was adequate. Simple checkin with key. Fast WiFi. We used the screened in front porch: box fan kept air moving. Beds were outstanding. Neighbor ac was a little annoying but can’t be helped. Excellent communication with John. Simple rules.

Cute, Cozy, and Clean Cottage!

We loved this cute Cottage! Very clean and lots of space! Very nice decor, great front porch! Very nice landscaped fenced in yard with a nice shady patio area. The hosts were great and accommodating. We saved this as one of our favorites in the area. Thank you!!

Secluded gem!

From the moment we opened the door we realized what a charming cottage Casa Lola truly is! Pictures do not do her justice! Such delightful visual encounters in each room. Cozy and comfortable with peaceful gardens in a private yard and a quiet neighborhood for walks to a nearby lake. Close to excellent restaurants and the Historic District but away from the busy area traffic. Don't pass this gem up! John, our host, has made sure everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay is available! Thank you John for sharing this cozy cottage. We will return!

Beautiful cottage in historic area

We loved our stay at Casa Lola. Our host was kind, very responsive, and provided an accurate description of property. The property is charming and clean which made our stay just as we’d hoped. We even met some of the neighbors and they were lovely too. We’d stay again if we were to visit St. Augustine in the future.

Wonderful property

We very much enjoyed our stay, John, property manager was great to work with. Cottage was perfect, in a great area. The Ice Plant and Saint Augustine Fish camp we’re both great restaurants nearby.

Quaint Home In Prime Location!!

First, let me say John was very kind, friendly and accommodating!! Great little cottage is a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to many restaurants and to downtown. We would go downtown during the day visit the sites, the fort and out to eat and shop. We’d go back to the house freshen up. Go out for dinner and cocktails and walk home. It was perfect. Just what we were looking for. No need to drive no need for taxis and no need for Ubers. We generally stay at hotels, but We were on our way to Fort Myers FL for the winter and we had my cat. It was really wonderful that John allowed pets. My cat got along great and hung out in the front porch a lot. Our next day we will definitely request this home again.

Magical

Our stay in this lovely little cottage was nothing short of enchanting. The property is tucked away from the street in a quiet neighborhood, nestled amongst mature trees and beautiful flowers. A table and chairs are provided near a small greenspace in back, perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the quiet of the day. The cottage itself is meticulously kept, both inside and out, with all the comforts of home. John, our host, was quick to respond to our questions and attentive to our needs. If you are seeking a St Augustine respite, just off the beaten path, this is your home away from home.

Very nice area.

Clean with Class

We have traveled and used vrbo and other agencies often for our accommodations. We have a dog so we need pet friendly homes. This cottage was the absolute cleanest dwelling we have ever rented. Everything was spotless. Plus the kitchen and bath were supplied with all the necessary items to make our stay very comfortable. The cottage was well appointed and is walking distance from so much. We ate brunch at the Blue Hen and walked there. We walked to the National Cemetery and downtown. This was the get away we needed. :)

Lovely Linconville

John ws was a wonderful host. We had everything we needed. We were all very comfortable including the dog. I enjoyed walking around Linconville and seeing how much it has changed in the last seven years. I hope to be able to come again.

Cute Cottage in a Great Location

This is our second stay at Casa Lola. This cottage features well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, fenced side yard in a great location. It is an easy walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Take a morning stroll around the lake located a few blocks over or walk to breakfast at The Blue Hen. We will definitely be back!

Great Cottage!

Cottage is great! Location is a 15 minute walk to most points of interest. Neighborhood is super quiet at night. Well stocked with conveniences. We would definitely book again.

A perfect spot!

We spent three nights at Casa Lola with our pup and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Immaculately clean and comfy cottage in a historic neighborhood. Homes are tightly packed in here, but we barely heard our neighbors. Beds and linens were good quality. We walked everywhere! Be sure to checkout the Lincolnville historic center to better understand the significance of this neighborhood and it’s relationship with the civil rights museum. We also enjoyed meals at St Augustine Fish Camp and Blue Hen Cafe ( get in line as soon as they open). Great stay!

Lovely corner of the world

this place was lovely. Lincolntown is a St. Augustine Gem area, peaceful, lovely, historic, and unurban. Accommodations were clean, well appointed, and relaxing. Even heard owls at night: not expected so close to downtown. Great walking area, and five minute walk from The Blue Hen, one of the great classic old breakfast places. We will come again.

Cute house

We loved the feel of comfort that this house gave us. It was just right for what we needed. We were only here for a couple nights to see a concert at the amphitheater and brought our little dog with us. We were very pleased with our stay here.

Cute little cottage tucked behind another house and has a off street parking spot which was really nice. Host communicated well and accommodated adding a box fan for me. It felt safe and was spotless. I would stay here again if I went back to the area.

Casa Lola es bonita!

Our stay at Casa Lola was everything we could have hoped for. The furnishings, decore and attention to detail made our stay a five-star experience! The cottage was spotless, and the kitchen is very well-appointed. We appreciated how well the kitchen was stocked and took advantage by staying in for breakfast for our 3-day stay. The neighborhood is scenic and safe. We enjoyed our morning and evening walks with our small dog. The secure wooden fence allowed him to roam and explore the side and backyard. The host, John, personally went out of his way to connect with me when I was having issues with the VRBO website. It was a very special time spent with our family and friends. We hope to be able to return sometime in the future!
