Welcome to Landis Lane Cabins! We hope you enjoy a little bit of Athens history when you stay with us! Our space is unique because it is named after our grandparents, Fred & Dorothy Landis. Fred and Dorothy both had families that originated in Athens County, Ohio dating as far back as the 1800's and still have family living here today. In our cabins you will find interesting pictures of their history along with small knick knacks that make you feel at home.

Tiny house in the country

I loved being on the quiet country road near Athens. I was 15 minutes from OU and it was a great retreat during the recent seminar I attended there.

Cozy and cute

Perfect country drive from town, quiet and beautiful. Great little coffee shop in Albany and just a few miles from the Athens. We did alot of hiking in the Hocking Hills area, went star Gazing at Strouds Run and overall enjoyed our trip.

Perfect for a weekend getaway

Perfect cozy tiny home for a quick trip to the Pawpaw festival.The front porch was perfect for an afternoon break. We enjoyed a fire and stargazing after being at the festival all day. Gwen was quick to respond when asked about the firewood. Looking forward to staying again next year.

Excellent as Always!

I’m a repeat customer/guest. I love how they have managed to put together such a wonderful place. This time I brought my family (two teen daughters and the wifey). We had a wonderful evening under the stars with a fire in the fire pit next to our cabin. My wifey and I stayed in the Fred cabin, while our daughters had their own cabin and slumber party right next door in the Dorothy cabin (they loved having their own place)! This is the third time I’ve stayed as a guest with Gwen and I just can’t say enough good things.

Relaxing

This property is really nice and clean. The only thing that would of really helped for someone with a handicap is if it would of had a hand rail on the steps outside. Other than that it was perfect!

Short mom daughter trip

I absolutely adore these little houses. It is my second time staying at the Dorothy and it was perfectly clean and so pleasant. It’s peaceful and just close enough to Athens that it makes it easy to go uptown for the day and come back and relax in evenings. Will be back for sure.

Quiet retreat close to OU

This was the perfect place to stay while in Athens for an athletic event at OU. It was convenient yet quiet and had everything my daughter and I needed. A delightful first experience in a tiny house - and we’d stay again!

Charming property

This cabin was sufficient and met my needs during a work assignment I had in a nearby town. Even though it was “tiny,” it was very clean and updated with a good use of space. It’s perfect for a short-term stay! If you are wanting to stay for a longer period of time as I did, it’s important to note that storage space for clothing and toiletries is pretty limited. Aside from this, the owner communicated well and it was very comfortable. I would stay there again.

Wonderful Stay!

This place had everything we needed and the hosts were great. We loved having a washer/dryer available, sitting on the front porch, and the relaxing environment. The hosts were so accommodating to our unique situation and we really appreciated that. I highly recommend this property!
