We really enjoyed our stay. The house has everything you need, well stocked kitchen, great layout for family and friends. We didn’t need all the rooms but we’re pleasantly surprised that there are actually 5 bedrooms plus the loft, so that would be great for a larger group. Beautiful views of the lake, the location was in our usual Norris area, close to multiple marinas. Other reviews do mention they were surprised by the walk to the private dock, it is a steep hill but, we felt that is made clear in the description and we’ve come to Norris for many years and are familiar with the elevation of most of the homes from the water, it’s either a hill or lots of stairs. The owner of the home made themselves available to answer any questions and promptly replied to anything we needed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ would return!
My only complaint was how steep the descent was to the boat dock. There really should be railing along the side to hold on to. We were offered a golf cart, but I just did not think a golf cart would have made it back up the hill.
We were extremely happy with this house. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were comfortable, and the view of the lake was amazing. It's plenty big enough for a large group of people. My older kids really enjoyed staying in the bedrooms over the garage with their own bathroom. No, there's no TVs, no wifi, and the cell service is pretty much non-existent; however, that's what I loved most about this place. We were able to disconnect and actually spend time together. We watched a movie on the projector in the basement and had a great time as a family. Yes, it's a very steep walk to the dock, but a marina is nearby and you can have any family who can't make the steep walk, drive to the marina. We did this with my in-laws and picked them up on the boat. Nearly all houses at Norris have a steep walk to their docks. We would love to come back and stay here again!
We had a great time staying on Norris Lake in this beautiful house. It was very clean and a great way to get away from distractions and have fun with my family. The lack of wifi got the kids off of their screens (and the adults off their phones) for the most part, which was a nice change.
Communication with the property manager was excellent on their part, but the lack of cell signal in the area paired with the lack of wifi presented slight challenges at times. That is the only reason for 4 stars out of 5 on that category.
We did have to drive down to my cousins’ rental a few times to get some important communications to go through.
We loved using the kayaks and paddle board. The ramp to the dock is extremely steep, which is just something to be aware of if you have people in your party who might have challenges with this.
This neighborhood is really close to Sugar Hollow Marina, and within a short boat ride to Shanghai Resorts- one of our favorites for shopping for Norris Lake shirts, hats, etc.
Overall a great stay, and I would recommend it to others!
My family absolutely loved our stay at this property. The house was beautiful, comfortable, and the views were amazing from every location in the home. Perfect location on the water as well. Would definitely recommend this property!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Disappointing
The home was excellent. However, the location was not!
The picture shows a boat dock a short walk from the house to the water. However, the drive is a fairly steep incline but the long long long walk to the boat dock is extremely steep.
I do not recommend this property for anyone who thinks you have access to the water. I had to pay a marina extra money to launch and store my boat while I was there.
The house is beautiful! Very well designed and easily accommodated our crew of ten. The spotty internet and no WiFi was a small inconvenience especially for our four teenagers!!
This property is beautiful! It is very clean and perfect for a get away. I loved the property and would stay again. It's a new build, modern, and very comfortable. The lake is beautiful. The view of the lake from the house is amazing, as is the sunset. Two of the bedrooms are over the garage and in their own little "house" which was nice to have the privacy and ability to go to bed early compared to others that wanted to stay up late. There is no TV at the house which wasn't a huge issue for us. There is a projector and DVD player you can use but the DVD player doesn't play Blu Rays. One member in our party actually took a TV and PlayStation for movie watching :).
I have recommended and communicated with the property owners to get faster internet as it is very slow. I was unable to work on homework while visiting, eek. With cell service hit or miss, the lack of wi-fi made it that much harder. They have informed me that they are highly considering it, but we managed to get by. The beds are hard, so if you have back problems I recommend taking a mattress cover to help with that. It was very nice to have a private dock to keep the boat all week. With that said, we nicknamed the pathway "Pike's Peak" as it is very steep. The walk down isn't bad but know that the walk up is challenging. If you can rent a golf cart or ATV of sorts I would highly recommend. Seriously, the house is amazing, just a few things I would consider if returning.
