About this property

The Vineyard Vista - wildflowers, fire pit, near state parks, wineries, lakes

The Vineyard Vista is a place for you to relax and recharge, sitting on 4 acres of land with plenty of space to spread out. While there's much for you to do onsite, you'll also have easy access to all the Texas Hill Country has to offer, including state parks, wineries, hiking, lake activities (1/4 mile to lake LBJ, skiing, fishing), golf, historic towns, wildflowers, local breweries, restaurants, and lots of wildlife (year round and migrating birds, deer).

Outdoor spaces at The Vineyard Vista are where we really shine. Enjoy stunning views of the Uplift Vineyard while grilling your dinner or dining in the fenced courtyard. Sip your morning coffee in a rocking chair on the front porch, watching visiting deer and a large variety of birds in the nearby woods. Watch the sunset from the picnic table under our majestic pecan tree in the evening, followed a cozy gathering around the firepit under dark, starry skies.

Indoor spaces at The Vineyard Vista are pretty amazing, too. The den is a great place to relax, overlooking the courtyard and vineyard. The large screen tv is connected to wifi, allowing you to stream shows using your own streaming subscriptions. The coffee table is stocked with games and puzzles for spending time with family and friends. Enjoy all of this with a cozy backdrop from the fireplace set up with flameless candles.

Open to the den, the kitchen is stocked with dishes, utensils, glassware, serving dishes, and cookware, making it easy to cook your meals here. Need a blender? A slow cooker? A wine opener? We've got them! If there's anything you're wondering if we have, just ask! There's also plenty of seating for your meals - 2 at the kitchen counter, 3 in the breakfast area, and 8 at the dining table.

The 3 bedrooms all have queen beds with plush mattresses (new in 2022), cozy bedding, and extra pillows. You'll have plenty of room to unpack with a dresser and a closet in each room. 2 of the bedrooms have private bathrooms, and the 3rd has a bathroom just outside the bedroom door. There is a "bonus room" upstairs with 2 twin beds and another large screen tv.

The Vineyard Vista is a private space - you'll have access to the whole house except for a small locked closet containing housekeeping supplies.

It's important to note that the vineyard we enjoy looking at is not our property and you will not be able to go into it. Please do not cross any of the fences surrounding our property.

The areas near the house and inside our driveway are mostly clear of "sticker burrs". If you venture into the meadows behind the barn and outside the driveway, expect to have burrs on the bottoms of your shoes. You might consider bringing some old shoes if you want to spend time in these areas. ** If you do go into these areas, please remove your shoes when you come into the house. Burrs will come off on the carpets and you will find them later with your bare feet. Ouch! **

The barn is used for storage and stays locked. Feel free to park under the covered parking next to the barn if you like.

You can also park in the garage, or anywhere on our gravel road/driveway. Please do not take vehicles off of the road/driveway at any time as they will damage our septic system and sprinklers.

Bring your boat or jet skis! You'll have access to the neighborhood boat ramp and there's plenty of room to park your trailer on our property.

With great places to relax and read a book, lots of onsite activities, and the well-stocked kitchen, you might not want to leave once you get here!

But if you’re in the mood to explore, The Vineyard Vista serves as the perfect home base for outings to nearby activities, including:

Inks Lake State Park – 5 miles
Longhorn Cavern State Park – 4 miles
Uplift Vineyard tasting room - right next door! 5 minute walk to the gate.
Perissos Winery and tasting room – 2 miles
Torr Na Lochs Winery and tasting room – 11 miles
Legends Golf Course – 6 miles
Delaware Springs Golf Course - 14 miles
Save the World Brewery – 16 miles
Lake LBJ boat ramp access – ¼ mile
Lake Marble Falls, Lake Buchanan, and Inks Lake - all within 30 minutes
Putters and Gutters miniature golf, bowling, arcade, bumper cars, live music - 16 miles
Antique shopping
Scenic Hill Country drives

There are several restaurants and a small grocery store in Kingsland, about 7 miles away. Marble Falls, 15 miles, has a large HEB, more restaurants, and a nice downtown area with shops.

Perfect getaway

Beautiful property perfectly situated between Longhorn Caverns and Inks Lake State Parks. The peace and quiet of the property was a great escape from busy life. We loved eating outside on the patio enjoying the cool breeze and the view of the vineyard. Bluebonnets were starting to bloom and I can only imagine what the field will look like in a few weeks! Nights were spent playing board games and technology free time as a family :). We will definitely be back!

A Peaceful Retreat

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home in your peaceful and beautiful setting in the country. The vineyard and wildflowers, including so many bluebonnets, really added to the experience. It was a perfect retreat for our family -- just what we were looking for.

Serenity and Comfort

This was a very comfortable and well decorated home in the Texas Hill Country with a private location and peaceful views of the nearby vineyard and Texas Highland Lakes area. Great porches gor watching the sunrise. The house was very well maintained and had terrific space, large closets and comfortable beds. It worked very well for my family!

Accommodating

Lovely well cared for property. The host provided snacks and even dog treats for the pups. We saw so much wildlife! Two Jackrabbits whose ears lit up in the morning sun, and a mama dear with her baby. Plus, we ran into some car trouble and had to over stay our welcome. Suzanne was gracious and allowed us to stay until we got the car situation worked out. Thanks for the great stay Suzanne!

Once again, this home did not disappoint.

This is our second Thanksgiving to spend with our adult children in this home. From the moment we opened the front door, we all felt at home. Everybody headed to "their bedroom" and then into the family room and kitchen to prepare Thanksgiving dinner and watch football. Afterwards, we played games at the expansive dining room table. Hiking at Inks Park each day was fun and we came home with lots of precious memories and photos. I believe we have started a new Thanksgiving tradition in Burnet! Thank you from Fort Worth Texas!

Great Get-Away Location for Families with Children

Vineyard View is a truly great location for a family get away, especially in spring when the wildflowers are so beautiful! The views along Park Road 4 driving to/from the house were spectacular in late April. Suzanne is a very responsive host, which made our checking in and out a breeze; the hosts also provide a printed set of simple house regulations to follow. The WiFi is strong and stable. The kitchen is well equipped for general cooking and with dishes for dining of a family of 8 in the large dining room. In-suite baths for two of the three bedrooms give couples privacy, and the upstairs over-the-garage bedroom for the kids gives them isolation when they crave it for playing games and watching tv, while insulating adults from their noise. The grill is spacious and works with LP gas or charcoal, and it’s on a covered porch so you can grill even when it’s raining. The fire pit is fun, especially for kids with their s’mores. The grounds are expansive and well kept, giving children and dogs plenty of space to run and play themselves to exhaustion before bedtime. Very close proximity to 2 state parks is a big plus for families, too.

Superb Hill Country property!

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this beautiful property that backs up to the vineyard. I am just as pleased as I was the first time. Cozy, roomy and comfortable, and with a stunning sunrise viewed from the living room and porch each morning. The host is gracious, accommodating and easy to communicate with…. a lovely experience all around!

Perfect Stay

Everything about this home is just lovely. Our adult fam of 4 enjoyed having our own bedrooms and bathrooms and the kitchen is very well stocked if you choose to cook like we do. Because of all the rain, we did not get to use the outside like we would have wanted (lots of nice patio seating in front and back), which made us appreciate how lovely the inside was. Suzanne was extremely communicative with us which I always appreciate. We hope to return in the spring or early fall to take advantage of the lake activities available. We did go hiking on one day and were grateful the rain did not pour down until we were in back in the car on our way back to the house. You won’t regret staying here. And that is a promise!

Fabulous property

This is a lovely property and ideal for 3 couples. There are two single beds upstairs as well (which we didn't use). Clean, and perfectly organized, it has everything you need. There is a small wood in front of the property and there are deer which come out at dawn and dusk. Fenced in area for dogs. Very close to both inks lake state park and the long horn caverns. All in all a very lovely weekend.
