ABOUT THE RENTAL
A serene setting directly on Munro Lake, this three bedroom, two bath home is a perfect getaway for any season! A quick drive to many Northern Michigan favorites. *Please note this is in a remote location. There is a Verizon hot spot at this home, but it is spotty and often goes in and out of service. It's best to plan on not having it and to enjoy the natural beauty of Northern Michigan! You are welcomed into the home through the kitchen and dining area which is open to the living room overlooking the lakefront. There is also a perfect little game table area in the living room as well. Stainless steel appliances and a large dining room table seating six makes it a great space for cooking meals in. There are four extra seats at the breakfast bar as well. The split floor plan offers more privacy to the primary bedroom with a king bed and an en suite, including a large soaking tub and shower and spacious closet space. The second bedroom located on the opposite end of the home has a full-size bed and the third bedroom across the hall from it offers four twins (two bunk beds) which is a great place for kids to hang out or for you to separate a bit if it’s a guy’s weekend away on the snowmobiles. Grab a glass of wine and sit on the large deck to take in the spacious yard and great view of the lake or sit at the lakeshore in the old-time hammock suspended from the many trees. Bring your boat, kayak, and paddleboards and use the dock to enjoy your time on the lake.

*This property allows two dogs, maximum. A non-refundable $150.00 cleaning fee will be charged per pet.

Quiet retreat

Great Location

We had a conference in Mackinac and the house was so close. We spent the day in Petosky which was also super close. Everything about booking, check in & check out was super easy. The house had everything we needed. Our only issue was with the wi-fi. It does have it but the signal is very weak & inconsistent. Because of that, tv & checking email is spotty. My daughter planned on doing homework which had to wait til she got home.

Anniversary getaway saved!

Peaceful Lake Setting

My family enjoyed this spacious lake home located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The check-in process was convenient and communication with the host was easy. Danielle was very responsive and immediately addressed a minor issue with the keypad.

Great Lakefront property!

We had a great and relaxing time at this property. It is close to all northern Michigan has to offer! Our only complaint would be that the neighbors two doors down were partying into the early morning hours. Also be aware that your security deposit will not be returned for seven days following your departure from the property.

A great place to disconnect and relax

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The house is laid out very well and while not overly large, it felt big enough for the 8 of us who stayed there. The access to the lake was great and allowed us to spend most of our time in or near the water easily. Sitting around the fire pit and enjoying the scenery while roasting S'Mores was amazing.The only true downside was the internet as several others have mentioned. It was spotty at best and while that allowed us to further disconnect and enjoy where we were, if someone is selecting this house because the internet is listed as an amenity and they will actually have to use it, they will be disappointed. The owner may want to consider removing that as a listed amenity to avoid potential frustration down the road.But again, overall the house and our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable.

Peaceful week in Northern Michigan

Simple home on a private lake. Property host was excellent with quick and consistent communication to answer any questions. Private lake gives you quintessential Michigan lake house summer vibes. Sunset and sunrises were beautiful. Was able to make many meals in the kitchen and eat out by the water around the bonfire. They installed an air conditioner which works great. As other reviews stated- wifi is essentially nonexistent. If you are looking for a place to unplug and connect with your loved ones, this is perfect. If you need to check in for work or check work emails, probably not for you. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Clean and Cozy

My two kids and I stayed here over the the 4th and had a wonderful time. The home was clean and cozy and the beds were very comfortable. The water was warm and perfect for swimming. Without wifi we all were able to play board games, cards and just connect with each other. We had a fantastic time and would definitely visit again!

Cozy stay!

Our overall stay was very cozy and comfortable. The location was nice and close to everything we wanted to do. The only slight downfalls were the trash bins/recycling were completely full when we arrived and the outdoor deck furniture was very dirty. This place is great to check out of work and social media because the WiFi and service is minimal. There is a tv with streaming services but with the WiFi not working well it didn’t work for us. Would recommend bringing a DVD player if you wanted to watch something. 🙂 We had a very lovely stay.

The family truly enjoyed their stay and it made for a beautiful up north weekend. One small note is that the check out time at 10am seemed a little early. It wasn't a big deal, just felt a little rushed to get everyone ready, cars packed, etc. Great stay overall, would recommend!

A great place to stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was immaculately clean when we arrived. Everything was in good working order and the kitchen was well stocked. The cabin seems quite remote but is actually within a short driving distance to many great restaurants and attractions. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Escape

It was just what we wanted, where we needed it!! There was an initial glitch where the door code keypad was inoperative but with a simple phone call to the rental service, we were in the house within minutes, thanks to a key lockbox on the property. We spent 5 days at the property with other family members and all went splendidly!! The wi-fi was not spectacular but we know (from family members who live close) that is fairly common. We are planning to return to this property next year!! It was wonderful!! We highly recommend it!!

Vacation

The location is quiet with a large back yard to enjoy the beautiful lake. During our stay we had a kitchen sink drain failure on the first morning that evidently the maintenance knew about and had scheduled a plumber for Monday. A little late for our Saturday arrival. After communicating with the host a plumber showed up Sunday morning and fixed the plumbing. Ventilation is not very good because not all the windows could be opened with screens that were tight. No air conditioning!!! The sliding door screens are not tight and the front sliding door kept running off the track. Mosquitoes got in the house at night. We did not have access to the garage as stated in the description of the property. The location is central for visits to Mackinaw, the UP, Harbor Springs, etc. We had an enjoyable week in The northern Michigan area after we came to terms with the hiccups with house. The host was very responsive.

Excellent Lakefront House

Our extended family was pleasantly surprised with the roominess and updating of the interior of the house. The view of the lake is gorgeous and I wish we were able to spend more time there. The property manager was very helpful. We all agreed that we would rent this property again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything went pretty well. The property had a nice size yard near water for activities. The grill and deck were nice and firepit was our meeting spot every night. The AC didn't work so it was quite warm inside the home. Only other negative was the lawn care company came in the middle of our bbq so we had to stop and clean up the lawn so they could mow which was an inconvenience.
