About this property

Danish dream house on the Flensburg Fjord

We are very happy to welcome people to our little personal dream house "Tjørnehuset"!
We find our little house a dream for everyone who wants to take a break, have peace of mind for their soul, think or want to be creative or just want to take a deep breath. It is small (around 50 sqm in total), simple, surrounded by nature - especially hawthorn bushes (hence the name) and, we think, beautiful. The sea and the gendarme hiking trail are only a stone's throw away and can be seen from the house via an in-house path. Next door are pastures, animals, lots of trees and plants. You can make yourself comfortable by the fireplace - and everything you need is there.
Theoretically there are a total of 6 beds. However, it is probably most suitable for couples (also with children) who may get visitors overnight. The two main sleeping areas offer a king-size bed in the bedroom. Please note that two additional sleeping places are separate and a walk through the fresh air is necessary for these sleeping places for shower & toilet. In addition, two additional beds can be temporarily provided by the sofa bed in the living room. Board games etc. and a large flat screen with separate DVD player and preinstalled apps for YouTube and Netflix are available - but currently no cable TV. Additional entertainment for children should always be brought along. We love animals; Due to the grazing animals in the immediate vicinity, we decided with a heavy heart that pets are unfortunately not allowed.
In contrast to most Danish holiday homes, ours is lonely and not in a holiday village, which we find great. For this we also gladly accept the arrival on a forest path on the edge of the golf course, which normal vehicles should easily manage. You will be rewarded with absolute calm or The sound of the sea and the rustling of trees.

The closest you can stay to paradise
The cottage is remarkably situated on top of a hill, looking out over the Flensburg Fjord. It a typical red and white wooden cottage which is beautifully and very authentic decorated. And its quiet! There are no neighbours within a 100 meter radius, so privacy is guaranteed. It’s well equipped, so bring the groceries once and never leave the door. In short we had a wonderful and quiet stay and look forward visiting thr ThornHouse once agin

Det var fint. Men stien op til sommerhuset var smal og på stien var græsset højt at gå igennem og siderne var ikke slået.

Ein idyllisch gelegenes Haus am Meer
Das Haus war sauber und gemütlich. Der Blick auf die Förde ist traumhaft. Wir können es allen empfehlen, die sich in der Natur erholen wollen. Im Dunkeln war das Haus leider sehr schwer zu finden, da es per GPS nicht genau zu orten war. Deswegen empfehle ich unbedingt, die Wegbeschreibung vorher genau zu lesen und eine Taschenlampe und Gummistiefel mitzunehmen.

"Dornenhaus": ein understatement
Vermutlich das wirklich 'hyggeligste' Ferienhaus in ganz Süd-Jütland. Unbedingt die Option nutzen und genießen, das Auto nicht direkt am Ferienhaus zu parken.

Sehr gemütliches Ferienhaus, problemlose Verständigung mit den Vermietern. Leider hat das Wetter dieses Jahr wie überall in Nordeuropa nicht mitgespielt. Aber dafür konnte das Objekt nichts. Man hat komplette Ruhe und kann sich eine Auszeit vom Alltag nehmen. Nur freundliche, faule Kühe als Nachbarn :-)

Der perfekte Ort zum Entspannen, Erholen, Ausruhen und Runterkommen! Sehr ruhig gelegen, toller Blick auf die Flensburger Förde, schöne, gut möblierte Terrasse. Erholung direkt an der Förde
Als Wiederholer war es wie " nach Hause kommen " Trotz oder gerade wegen sehr gemischtem Wetter haben wir uns bestens erholt und die Natur genossen. Statt den Fernseher einzuschalten haben wir auf der großen Terrasse den Blick auf die Förde genossen. Für Städter ein wunderbarer Ort um wirklich mal runter zu kommen ! Herrlicher Aufenthalt
Genau was wir gesucht haben, und genau wie auf den Fotos - gemütlich, liebevoll ausgestattet, mit Meerblick, mitten in der Natur, direkt am Küstenwanderweg Gendarmstieg gelegen. Absolute Ruhe, heute morgen war noch ein Fuchs auf der Weide, als wir abfuhren. Ein bisschen schade, dass es kein Kabel TV gab, aber am Ende haben wir es doch nicht vermisst. Wir wollen wiederkommen!

Hübsches kleines Häuschen in absolut ruhiger Lage. Kontakt zum Vermieter war angenehm. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Idealer Urlaub um dem Alltagsstress zu entfliehen und die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Werden wir bestimmt wieder mal machen.

Wir waren zu viert für ein paar Tagen in dieser wunderschönen und sehr gepflegten Unterkunft. Die Lage ist wirklich absolut schön, vor allem wenn man es etwas ruhiger angehen möchte. Die Unterkunft war sehr gut ausgestattet (vor allem in der Küche). Die Kommunikation war sehr schnell und freundlich, wir haben eine sehr detaillierte Beschreibung erhalten. Alles in allem ein perfekter Aufenthalt und sehr zu empfehlen! :)

Erholung pur !
Wenn man die Anfahrtsbeschreibung aufmerksam liest, dann ist der Weg zu diesem Traumhäuschen problemlos zu finden. Wir haben uns die 2 Wochen inmitten der Natur wunderbar entspannt. Das Dornenhaus ist gemütlich zum wohlfühlen eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man brauchen könnte. Man merkt, daß an hochwertigen Haushaltsgeräten nicht gespart wurde. Wir hatten alle Wetter, die man sich vorstellen kann und doch die meiste Zeit auf der großzügigen Terrasse verbracht. Den Schiffsverkehr auf der Förde beobachtet und stundenlang dem Vogelgezwitscher zugehört. Wir waren einfach rundum zufrieden und freuen uns schon darauf im nächsten Jahr wieder zu kommen. Perfekt zum Ausspannen und Abschalten!
Ich kann nur wiederholen, was diverse Gäste vor mir bereits beschrieben haben: Ein gemütliches kleines Haus in absolut idyllischer und traumhaft ruhiger Lage. Perfekt zum Ausspannen und Abschalten, weil es ringsherum wirklich nur Natur gibt. Toller Blick vom Haus auf die Flensburger Förde und rund ums Haus gemütliche Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten einschließlich einer überdachten Terrasse mit guten Möbeln, die auch bei Regen einen Aufenthalt draußen ermöglichte. Im Haus alles vorhanden, was man so braucht, innen und außen alles gut gepflegt und sauber. Vorab gab’s eine sehr gute PDF-Infobroschüre mit Wissenswertem rund ums Haus und sehr präziser und hilfreicher Wegbeschreibung für die Anreise (ohne diese Details hätte man sich auf den letzten 2 km tatsächlich sehr oft die „Bin ich hier echt noch richtig?“-Frage gestellt…). Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war angenehm und problemlos.

Heel fijn plekje als je van rust en natuur houdt maar wel wat lastig bereikbaar per auto..
Wat een fijn plekje. Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad in het charmante comfortabele rode huisje, het was precies waar we op gehoopt hadden. Hertjes, hazen, heeeeel veel vogeltjes, rust, vredig plekje, lekkere bedden, wandelingen maken, fietstochtjes, al de boeren zwaluwtjes die elke avond vliegen kwamen vangen boven de poeltjes voor het huis. Kortom wij hebben erg genoten!! Dank daarvoor De weg ernaar toe (langs golfbaan) vonden wij wel een uitdaging, zeker als je een auto hebt die wat lager op de weg ligt. Wij hebben daarom onze auto op de parkeerplaats rechts van het huisje geparkeerd op de parkeerplaats van het wandelpad, prima te doen ong. 700 mrt. lopen v.h. huisje.
