A wonderful vacation
The cottage is perfectly situated for hiking. There are amazing trails straight from the cottage, plus others you can find by car. The host, Stuart was helpful and answered any questions we had promptly. The cottage is a delight and the village of Troutbeck away from the crowds.

Wonderful Stay in Troutbeck
We had a lovely stay at the cottage in Troutbeck. It was close to the villages of Ambleside & Windemere as well as local hiking trails. The kitchen was well equipped and functional, which allowed us to cook most meals. Modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. Lots of character and the views were lovely. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely stunning
As beautiful as the pictures are, the house and the location are even better! Close to everything, but a peaceful oasis that is the very best of the Lake District. Stuart was extremely helpful and responsive, and we felt welcome from the moment we stepped over the threshold. The facilities themselves were roomy and the height of comfort. A wonderful experience from beginning to end. Thank you!!!
