Great vacation!

We loved staying here! This house was perfect for our family (2 adults, kids 9, 7 and 4). Easy beach access walking or driving, plenty of space, beautiful deck and a garage to park our car. The foosball table was a huge hit with our kids. We’d definitely stay here on a future vacation!

Perfect spot for families

Great location! Clean and just the perfect location for family to stay nearby. Access to all York has to offer. Short walk to Short Sands and all the shops and restaurants in Short Sands.

Great place with a peaceful view

Karla and Oren were wonderful hosts, couldn’t have been nicer. Their home was immaculately clean. We loved the peaceful view from the back deck and spent many relaxing mornings looking out at the river. We were very happy to have AC in the bedrooms during a beastly heatwave. We were a bit surprised that there was no microwave, which would have been helpful to know before grocery shopping (none is listed so my bad for not checking). All-in-all, a lovely place for a relaxing two-week stay.

The Perfect Stay

I cannot say enough great things about our stay at Relax by the Shore. The house is perfectly set up for a stay at the beach. The house is an easy walk to Cape Neddick, and a short walk or drive from everything in Short Sands. There is ample space for everything you might need at the beach. You can choose to take your morning coffee on the spacious deck, or lounge in a cozy sunroom at the front of the house. A fully appointed kitchen made meals a snap, and then it was off to the beach. Our family flew in for this trip, but we were greeted with a beach buggy to use, along with chairs and a variety of beach games and boards to take with us to the beach. Plenty of space to hang towels and clear off the sand and salt outside, which kept the house free of sand and dirt throughout the week. Karla and Oren were also great to work with. Not only did they provide the perfect house for us, but they provided great recommendations for their favorite places in town. They were quick to communicate back to us when we had a question, and even cut their day at the beach short to help us when we locked ourselves out of the house. Already planning our next trip back to York and will keep my fingers crossed we can stay here again!
