2023 Mid September stay
We very much enjoyed our stay at Bonnie's cottage. We could sit outside on the deck, in the yard or on the dock on a sunny day (or get out on the water) or sit in the screened-in porch on a rainy day. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. Bonnie and Jay were next door and stay out of our way, but could be called upon and responded quickly when needed. They were very kind and helpful hosts!

Baby Moon
My husband and I came here for our baby moon, the cottage was very clean and comfortable. Bonnie was very welcoming and has clearly put a lot of love into her property. Though we did not have good weather while there we still enjoyed our time. There are many activities to do in the area and in the evenings we were able to enjoy campfires. We would definitely go back in the future!

The cottage was located steps from beautiful Halls Lake and had everything we needed including air conditioning, which was really appreciated as we had some hot weather. We spent time swimming and canoeing. The lake was clean and really quiet even though we were there over a long weekend. Bonnie & Jay were wonderful.

Beautiful cottage right in the lake
Bonnie is just a perfect host to her very beautifully done cottage! The firewood was laid out when we arrived, Bonnie was there to greet us. Jason is fun to chat with and THANK YOU for putting the rail up on the walkway to the jetty! Loved star gazing while sitting on the jetty and having some drinks. Bonnie lives next door but was not intrusive at all! Thank you. Jason is planning to level the area around fireplace outside and that will be perfect because the slope is a bit steep to sit for more than an hour. Bonnie gave us a heads up to bring our bedsheets and towels. No dishwasher means washing dishes by hand so don’t forget to bring your cleaning gloves :) We loved the stay and would recommend it to a couple/small family. Do not miss the Historic Log Chute. There are a couple of good trails there. We did the small 1km one and wanted to do the 5km but could not handle it with the doggo. Next time! Thanks Bonnie for recommending the place and your hospitality.

Fabulous stay
The cottage is comfortable and very clean with many updates, including an effective heating and cooling system. The screened porch is a bonus, especially when it rains. We enjoyed the lake daily, swimming and kayaking. There are many things to do in the area. Bonnie is a very warm and attentive host.

Bonnie, our host is truly amazing! Thank you for your warmth and hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay in your beautiful and cozy cottage. Just so perfect for a family of four. The cottage was clean, comfortable and safe. The lake is just few steps away. In fact, that’s the main reason why we chose this property. My family had so much fun kayaking and swimming. At night time, we had a great family bonding over bonfire and roasting marshmallows while stargazing. Being first time renting a cottage, can’t thank enough to our host(Bonnie) for a wonderful experience and being so accommodating to us. We can’t wait to come back next time. Thanks Bonnie!

I have owned the cottages on Halls lake
For 60 years. It's the most peaceful vacation spot
Very warm and friendly area near Algonquin park and Quaint little towns
2 1/2 hours from Toronto

Why they chose this property

I enjoy the scenery, wildlife, and not so many people
Example; I owned a place on the Ocean
Unfortunately every morning 800 people were on the beach in front of my home
Not here

What makes this property unique

Peace and tranquility
Home away from home
