Red Tree House is a beautifully updated modern Chalet nestled in the woods. In the perfect central location to skiing, snow tubing, fishing in Watauga, wineries, Grandfather Mountain, App State and much more!
Close to all this area has to offer we are up in the mountains for cool breezy air in the Summer, gorgeous Fall colors and great snowy conditions to enjoy in Winter! Tons of activities just outside your door you can choose to stay in and have a cozy relaxed time or have an exciting active adventure you won't soon forget!
Nestled among the treetops you have a ton of privacy and beautiful space!
There is a large high ceiling open living and dining area, a galley kitchen with new full size appliances and everything you need to make a great meal! The living space is separate upstairs with a large private deck with partial mountain views, a grill and table to eat outside. You have 2 cozy private bedrooms downstairs both with new comfy queen beds and plenty of closet space. The master has large sitting area attached and there is a full bathroom with bathtub downstairs, there is a half bathroom upstairs as well. There is a brand new washer/dryer upstairs and a new bbq grill on your private deck! There is a free standing gas fireplace to keep you toasty warm in the cooler months and plenty of comfy seating! We do allow up to 2 fur babies.

Sugar Mountain ski trip

We loved the little red chalet! The inside was very clean. The decor is modern and cozy. It is the perfect size for couples or a family of four. Located about 10 mins from Sugar Mountain skiing and grocery stores.

Chalet was central to Banner Elk and Boone and the attractions of Grandfather Mountain, Hawksnest and Sugar Mountain.

Cute, Clean and Convenient

My husband and I came up for a weekend getaway to hike and chill. This place was so cute! It’s was perfect for us! Very clean also. Great location! Would love to come again!

Cute house!

Cute home - small but perfect for a couple. House was clean upon arrival. Communication with owner was good. Conveniently located between Boone, Blowing Rock & Banner Elk. Nice neighborhood to walk around in - not flat, you are in the mountains after all :-) There is only space for 2 vehicles (as we were advised prior to booking) - luckily we were able to park the trailer at the office and the Harley & truck at the house. Zero complaints except we needed more wash cloths (4 provided but 2 of us staying for 4 days...)

Peak Season Weekend in the High Country

What a beautiful home in an excellent location making it easy to get to Banner Elk, Valle Cruis, Boone and Blowing Rock within minutes. The listing was spot on. The view was incredible. The beds were perfect for a great nights sleep. There were many steps getting into and from the upstairs to the downstairs but my mother of 84 years had no issues. She even stated she didn’t want to go home because she loved this home so much. Can’t wait to visit again!

Comfort in the trees

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the Mill Ridge tree house. The location was pretty central to Boone, Foscoe and Blowing Rock and 90 minutes from Asheville. The living, dining and kitchen area were comfortable and well stocked. We enjoyed the TV and games also. The one bedroom downstairs felt a bit like a cell…very small but the bed was comfy. We sure wished there was a hot tub on the porch! Had a little trouble communicating with the property manager at first but it was all resolved.

Charming Chalet

We really enjoyed our stay at the Red Tree House. The chalet was very clean and comfortable. It was so convenient to Banner Elk, Boone, and Blowing Rock, hiking trails, restaurants, and Grandfather Winery (which we loved by the way). The hosts were very helpful and communicative. Instructions on TV/Internet, air conditioning, instructions for leaving, and information about surrounding activities in the area were very clear and helpful. We did not cook during our stay so I cannot speak about all of the kitchen amenities, but the basics were there such as coffee maker, blender, and dishes and it was very clean. The chalet does not have a lot of parking-2 small vehicles or 1 large (we had a van), but we did not have any issues. There are a lot of steps for anyone who may not be able to handle steps. The surrounding landscape was very pretty. We were there in time for all of the blooming rhododendrons-just gorgeous! We really enjoyed our stay!
