Holiday house with pool in Serra e Mar near Alvor, Algarve, Portugal

Built in traditional Portuguese style, this holiday home is located in a quiet residential area near Alcalar, 10 km from Portimao and just a short distance from the beach in Alvor. It is comfortably and comfortably furnished and surrounded by a beautiful, well-kept garden, which offers you almost complete privacy. The center of the garden is the large swimming pool. From the small hallway leads a door into the practical and well-equipped kitchen and another door into the spacious living room with fireplace, a sofa and a dining area. From the living room, two doors lead left and right each onto a terrace, one facing north, the other south facing with a beautiful view of the Monchique Mountains. In the two bedrooms left and right following the living room leads to two steps.
In and around Alcalar are several restaurants and a mom and pop shop. Supermarkets and shopping centers are in Portimao. The nearest is 6 km away. Golfers will find several great golf courses in the area, the closest, at the Penina Golf Hotel with 9 and 18 holes, is 3 km away. It is 10 km to the long and wide sandy beach of Alvor. There are also plenty of parking spaces. Alvor, a lively, charming former fishing village with a small harbor in the lagoon of the Alvor River has a beautiful promenade and a variety of restaurants of all price and quality classes. Praia da Rocha, a district of Portimao, with its large beach and lively nightlife is 12 km away. In Portimao also start the boat trips to the caves along the coast or to Silves the Arade river.
The airport of Faro is 70 km away and can be reached via the motorway in about 50 minutes.
A rental car is urgently recommended.
The house is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with severe mobility problems (steps!).

Une location parfaite pour la destination !
La maison était encore mieux que nous l’espérions. La propriétaire semble avoir pris en considération l’ensemble des commentaires précédents car nous n’avons rien à redire sur la qualité des lieux. Lena a su faire preuve d’une très grande réactivité et chacun de nos échanges, nous permettant de passer des vacances sereines. La location est isolée et donc très calme, exactement ce que nous avions souhaité. La maison est bien équipée (cuisine bien fournie, trousse de secours, linge de maison…), nous avons trouvé tout ce dont nous avons eu besoin. Je recommande les yeux fermées et peut être que nous y reviendrons dans quelques années !

Alles da, was man braucht
Man muss wissen, dass es weder klimatisierte Räume noch Ventilatoren gibt, wenn es sehr heiss ist. Garten und Pool sind sehr schön. alles, auch die Ausstattung des Hauses geeignet für kleinere Kinder. Zweckmäßig und praktisch. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war entgegenkommend, freundlich und zuverlässig.

Maison au calme et sans aucun vis à vis
Maison conforme à la description, le jardin et la piscine sont superbes !! La cuisine est très bien équipée, le reste de la maison est un peu dans son jus au niveau déco ainsi que les salles de bain ( fonctionnelles et propres !) Mais étant donné qu'on vit dehors, sur la terrasse, ça n'a pas trop d'importance. Petit bémol, pas de climatisation (37° à l'extérieur en juin) et les oreillers (en plumes ?) font que les nuits sont très chaudes !!

Fabulous location!!
When renting to British guests, would make it clear, NO English-speaking TV. It is always good to at least have UK news once a day and late evening spending a couple of hours with foreign TV challenging! Bedding far too heavy and please.....new pillows, they're dead! Plus points, beautiful gardens and pool, so peaceful and close to excellent, rustic restaurants and only a few minutes from Lagos and Alvor. Would certainly use again. Lena was brllliant, too!

Wir waren wirklich rundum mehr als zufrieden. Das Haus ist sehr schön und es war alles wirklich sehr sauber. Besonders hervorzuheben ist vor allem der Außenbereich mit Pool und einem traumhaften Garten, ideal für kleine Kinder. Bei Fragen stand uns Frau Martins jederzeit sehr kompetent, hilfsbereit und freundlich zur Seite. Wir würden die Villa jederzeit wieder buchen und können sie ebenso jedem empfehlen. So macht Urlaub Spaß!!!

Schöne Finca in sehr ruhiger Lage
Wir waren zu zweit in dieser Finca und haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Eine sehr ruhige Umgebung, die zum Verweilen am großen Pool eingeladen hat. Drum herum ein wunderschön gepflegter Garten. Das Haus hatte alles, was man benötigt. Ein Auto ist unbedingt zu empfehlen.

Très bon séjour !
Nous sommes très content de notre séjour dans cette maison La maison était très propre , était très bien équipée, le jardin et la piscine était vraiment impeccable. Juste à cause de la chaleur il aurait fallu une climatisation. Léna la gérante était très agréable est disponible. Franchement super séjour on y a passé 15 jours est c’était parmi mes meilleures vacances. La plage et le centre de Alvor sont à environ 10 a 15 min de la maison. La plage est superbe!

A propriedade é muito boa em espaço, tem uma grande e boa piscina com um jardim muito agradável que transmite tranquilidade. É só pena ter-se que deslocar de carro para tudo!!! Quem procura sol, piscina e sossego é a propriedade certa!!

Ein wunderbarer Ort
Die Villa liegt sehr ruhig in einer sehr grünen Urbanisation und hat einen wunderschönen Garten mit großem Pool und Blick ins Monchinique-Gebirge. Wir waren nur zu zweit, für vier hätte es genügend Platz. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, ob das Haus und die Einrichtung ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen ist. Aber das macht auch den Charme aus. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Exceeded expectations!
We booked this for a week as a family of 5 as we wanted privacy and we were well impressed! The house is a great setup with everything you need as if you were at home! We stayed in for a whole week and there was never a dull moment! The kids just loved it and with the toddler it was great because she had plenty of space to run and the pool had a shallow bit where she comfortably spent most of the time! The only thing to notice is the pool guy and the gardener show up whithout any notice and just start doing their thing without even asking. But in a whole it was a great experience.

Beautiful house and garden in a nice neighborhood
The house is clean, beautiful and well equipped. The garden and the pool are a real treat, especially on warm days. The location is close to Portimão, several great beaches and nice hiking areas.

Great holiday
The villa is in a lovely area. It is beautifully clean and has everything you need. An amazing pool in a wonderful garden. We had a great two weeks.
