Want to spend it with friends or family, but need your own space?Whether you are here for the shopping, the restaurants, the wineries, or hiking the Rock, this secluded open concept bungalow is perfect for two! There is a full kitchen as well as an outside grill. It is approximately 12 minutes from the most touted Fredericksburg eateries, antique shops & tasting rooms or 10 minutes from Enchanted Rock. There are many fantastic wineries to experience within a 30-minute drive or you can catch an Uber into town and ride a wine shuttle. Outside the fence that surrounds the bungalow, there are very large Longhorns wandering the ranch as well as many Hummingbirds, deer, and turkeys. The sunsets are gorgeous and the stargazing is amazing.

great way to relax

It was very relaxing to stay at this cabin. Nice and quiet and watched the deer and the steer roam around.

Property was spectacular and the house was very clean with many extra amenities. The owners were delightful and went out of their way to give us privacy and yet accommodate our request for a tour of their lovely ranch. We are recommending to a couple of our neighbors.

Love the Hill Country

We love the Hill Country and love it even more it after staying at Around the Bend Bungalow. We have stayed at over 25 short term rentals and have never had a better experience than we had here. The hosts are very thoughtful and considerate. We even got a tour of the ranch which is like heaven on earth. Comfortable bed, gas grill, well equipped kitchen and a great bathroom. We were close to everything we wanted to do but far enough away to hear no noise. Thank you for allowing us to stay here. Ann and George Gillespie

Cozy Fredericksburg getaway nestled among trees

We loved our stay at the Bungalow! The property is just gorgeous. You'll fall asleep under the stars and wake to a lovely sunrise. In terms of the home itself, the hosts have thought of everything one would need to be comfortable. They went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. It's artfully decorated, and we enjoyed all the fun sayings/signs posted throughout :) Comfy, clean, and great communication. I would absolutely stay here again. Location-wise, if this is helpful, it sits right between Enchanted Rock & Fredericksburg. About 15 min. in to Fredericksburg downtown. Very easy!

Amazing bungalo and property

We booked this beautiful bungalo for one night and wished we had booked it for a week. The property is about 15 minutes to downtown Fredericksburg, and it was an easy and enjoyable drive. The hosts are so sweet. Janet texted us that morning to find out approximately what time we would be at the house. To our surprise, there was a very thoughtful welcome gift waiting for us, as well as some snacks. Jim then drove by as we were unpacking the truck to make sure everything was as we expected. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the views. The house was very clean and peaceful and is fully stocked with everything you need. The property is also amazing. The longhorns on the property are so cool to watch. We can't wait to book our next stay here!

Wonderful Getaway

Awesome land with grazing, majestic longhorns!!! Beautiful cabin with wonderful fireplace and large spacious bathroom! So quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend this wonderful cabin a stone’s throw from Fburg!

Excellent experience

A lovely cabin in a beautiful setting. We relaxed on the front porch, took a walk to see longhorns, were taken by the hosts on a tour of the ranch, and watched the sunset. Amenities were above and beyond such as snacks, coffee, lotions, shower scrubs. Scrumptious ! Loved our time on the ranch.

Around the Bend

This is a wonderful place for a getaway while being close enough to town and all Fredericksburg has to offer. The owners raise longhorns and being able to see them up close makes this place unique. The owners are super nice and very hospitable.

Peaceful Getaway

My husband and I wanted to get away for our anniversary and this place did NOT disappoint. Everything was perfect.. from the location, to the cleanliness of the bungalow, to the beautiful champagne set up we had waiting for us upon check-in. The owners were so nice and so accommodating; it made our stay that much more enjoyable. To any couples looking for a romantic getaway for the weekend- this is the perfect spot! It’s a short drive from downtown, but perfect for a relaxing (peaceful) time. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back!

We are Janet and Jimmy Walsdorf, we have owned the ranch since 2007 and decided to retire out here in 2021. We enjoy giving a tour of the ranch and taking guests out to feed our longhorn herd.

The bungalow is located on a private 140 acre ranch and is very far back from the road so the nights are quiet and peaceful. Although we offer the tour, we respect our guests' privacy and try not to disrupt any guests plans.
