We had a great week in the house in Livingston Manor, the kids enjoyed the creek, we relaxed by the firepit, went hiking and visited town on several occations.

Exceeded expectations
Our family stayed in Karina’s house for 6 weeks this summer and it was absolutely perfect. The yard, the creek, the clean and spacious home. We are so grateful. Absolutely book this house — it’s even nicer in person. Fully stocked with everything we could have needed.

Great experience - highly recommend
We had a lovely stay at Karina's house. It is a beautiful house, we especially enjoyed the open layout of the great room and the spacious deck. Our son also loved playing in the creek in the back of the garden, and borrowed some of the children books. The house is extremely well located, about 2 hours away from NYC, and very close to Mongaup lake, Big Pond, Beaverkill road and so on. Thanks Karina for sharing such a great place!

Peaceful, comfortable and convenient
The house is warm and inviting with all the modern conveniences that you’d want. You can hear the creek as you drift off to sleep. Although there are neighbors, they’re a good distance away and summer foliage obscures the view so that you feel secluded and it’s super quiet. The solo stove and espresso machine were unexpected treats! Easy spot from which to take day trips to hiking, river paddling, and fishing destinations. Livingston Manor is a cute town with restaurants and shops- be aware, many things seemed closed Monday- Wednesday. The kitchen is especially well- stocked with good cookware, nice dishes, and anything you might need for meal prep. Loved the down comforters (we had unusually cool weather for August!) and the environmentally friendly cleaning products too.

Great house!
Great house, inside and out. All amenities were just as described. Ample space, comfortable furnishings, beautiful property—not much more you can ask for! Karina was super responsive to any questions we had, and we all loved every minute of our two weeks. The stream out back is lovely. It’s easy to explore the area. The setting feels remote in the best way, but it’s just a few minutes to groceries, shops and restaurants. We can’t wait to return!

Lovely house in a beautiful setting. The kitchen is well equipped. The backyard and patio are wonderful to unwind and relax in. The house gets great light and feels very spacious. We were a group of 8 and had plenty of space!

Lovely house with a nice stream
We stayed at this lovely house with our friends and young kids. The house is bright and nice with a lot of toys for the kids. The kids spent many house throwing rocks in the yard stream. The location is great with many hikes and interesting sights. Will definitely be back.

Inferior mattresses and bed linens. One bed literally falling apart. Not suitable for good sleep.
Although the cabin has great potential with a great floor plan, there were too many knickknacks and useless decor items that have the overall feel of clutter. Get rid of all the useless stuff and add two GOOD BEDS for adults!

Better than expected
We've stayed at many houses in the Catskills over the years and this was one of the best. The pictures don't really do it justice. Immaculately clean, filled with light and beautifully located on a stream. We're already planning a return trip!

Clean and comfortable! Very peaceful setting.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this quiet country house. It was very peaceful and relaxing. As we were there to visit my family who have a place nearby, we did not spend a great deal of time at the house. We did however enjoy some scenic walks, and trips into the charming nearby town of Livingston Manor. No wifi or internet, so a great place to really get away from it all!

This is our "happy place"
I kind of want to give the house a bad review so other people won't go and it will be available for us always…but I can't. The house is clean and bright. We have gone two summers in a row. At first we thought the lack of WiFi or cable would be hard. But it is awesome to be disconnected. There is swimming at Mongaup pond (home to two Bald Eagles) 8 miles away but we were content cooling off in the creek. It is great for entertaining as well- fully equipped kitchen and grill and then some. We happen to have local friends so it was nice to have a group over. Plenty of "new" toys for my kids to be entertained but also a perfectly safe place for them to go out and explore on their own (age 5 and 7). This is a very special place to us and we can't say enough how wonderful and helpful the owners are. A lot of love went into the house to make it as nice as it is and you can feel that warmth around you. When you do leave the house there is an amazing playground at the local school and a track to run on. There are working farms to visit and there is a new German pastry shop opening up an a new French Bistro. The beds are comfortable (the master bed is kind of soft for my taste but my husband is fine w it). We are city people but we feel safe in this house because it has the feeling of being secluded but there are people close enough by. I would not change a thing about this house. Enjoy it. We cannot wait to go back.

Beautiful Home with interesting touches
We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at the house in Livingston Manor. It was private and quiet but very convenient. The area provided a variety of exploration destinations. House was well cared for, clean with a kitchen that was a dream to cook in. Can't really think of anything you would need to bring.

Wonderful and well-located vacation home
What a wonderful house for a family visit to the Catskill region. It is spacious, light, characteristic and most importantly: clean. We spend a long weekend here with four adults and a toddler and time flew. The large open space that forms the living room, dining room and kitchen is wonderful. Our little one had plenty of space to run and play around when it was still too cold to go outside and we could enjoy the great kitchen. The house is stacked with everything you may need to cook, play games, relax, watch videos and have a good time. The backyard and porch are simply amazing. The spacious outside dining and seating areas, the large grass lawn and of course the creek make it impossible not to spend time outdoors when weather permits. In the end, we spend most of our time in and around the house, but there are plenty of great hikes and other outdoor activities nearby in the Catskills. Finally, the communication with the owners was very easy and helpful. We can highly recommend a stay in this vacation home.

Beautiful peaceful getaway upstate
My girlfriend and I rented this place for New Years Eve arriving on the 29th. We loved the place. Beautiful house on the outskirts of a very small town deep into a pretty isolated wooded country road. Lots of nature, few neighbors in sight. Location wise this was perfect for what I was looking for. It felt very remote and tranquil. Large gorgeous windows with a view of the snowy forest. We felt like we had our own private forest. We saw a few deer close to the house. The house was immaculately clean. Cupboards stocked with pretty much every kind of dish you could need. Waffle maker, juicer, baking pans, cuisinart. Lots of spices for cooking too. The owner Karina couldnt have been more helpful. The day of our arrival we were forced to abandon the roads due to a bad storm and she helped me figure out what to do next. We were not able to make it until the next day but she had the neighbors warm up the house for us so when we arrived it was not freezing. Karina gave us detailed info the surrounding area including best food markets and sights. Thank you so much Karina. We would definitely come back and stay again this lovely house.

Best house ever!!
This was by far the BEST weekend ever! We found this house online after researching about a hundred places and I must say we chose a winner. Not only was the place perfect, but the owner Karina was SO helpful in suggesting places to see. Wow was she right! When we first walked in the house it was nothing short of spotless and absolutely beautiful. The back yard was breathtaking and the creek was incredible. The description of the house online was 100% accurate. The town in the area was amazing and eveyone there was SO nice! We loved the food and there was a hiking trail not too far away. I highly recommend this place for friends getting away from it all, couples or a family getaway. TWO THUMBS UP!!! Thank you Karina!!!

I am a high school ESL teacher and my husband, Obadiah, is a sound designer/composer. We bought this house when we were living in Manhattan, before we had kids. We were desperate to have some private outdoor space of our own. It was originally a hunting cabin but was added onto before we bought it. When we bought it, the additions were only about halfway finished. We spent seven years working on it, finishing it to our taste. We started renting it out in 2009 and, as corny as this sounds, really enjoy sharing our house with so many appreciative guests. It’s a special place for us, and many people have told us that it is that for them as well. We love that!
