Charming Cottage Farm Stay w/King Bed: Country Views-Pet Friendly!

Escape to the country and enjoy a stay in a charming renovated greenhouse cottage located on a beautiful 25 acre historic farm from the 1700s. This peaceful getaway is just outside the Blue Ridge Mountains and located in the heart of Virginia wine country. Enjoy a variety of wineries, breweries and hikes and visit the town of Purcellville where you can find grocery stores, coffee shops and local restaurants just 10 minutes away. Fast wifi makes it perfect for work from home trips. Bring your pup too!

The Greenhouse is a one level cottage in the countryside with a king size bed, usb table lamps, full bathroom, dining table, ac/heat, sofa, kitchenette (no oven but there is a countertop cooktop for light cooking), fire pit and wifi. There is a step down from the front door to enter the cottage.

This cottage is pet friendly and can accommodate up to 2 dogs under 30lbs. Cats are not permitted.

The cottage is on a 25 acre historic farm that is being restored to a working farm. We have Kune Kune pigs and lots of chickens. You will hear pigs snorting, chickens singing and our rooster crowing. :) The farm is a beautiful place to walk around! There is a peaceful winding creek oasis behind the old red barn that is the perfect spot for a picnic or cup of coffee. The wifi speed (we are on comcast) is fast and great for a work from home retreat!

A wonderful house
Stayed for three days with my dog. The place is super friendly to dogs and very quiet. It has all you need, except if you are doing fancy cooking (no stove). The surrounding area is very pretty, with very little traffic so walking the dog off-leash is perfectly doable. Also, if you are a cyclist, you'll be close to some of the best gravel roads in Virginia.

Nice Enough for Two
We came up to Leesburg, Va for a wedding, so we only stayed one night. The place is as titled for this review, nice enough for two, very clean, all the essentials, nice rural country setting, five minutes to Purcellville, Va and twenty minutes to Leesburg, Va. The host was very quick to respond to questions.

Nice Get-away
Clean, quiet and hassle free. Access via to and from anywhere via a long gravel road was not noted prior. I was not driving a truck or SUV unfortunately. Bathroom shower was tiny with no way to turn the water on to heat up without a mess. Nice glider and table outside of the cottage in dire need of sanding and paint. Could not have asked more from the host, thank you.

Highly recommend
We traveled to the area for a very full family weekend. The directions were spot on and our first view of the property and cottage was was spectacular. The farm is surrounded by rolling meadows. After a long day of travel, the king bed was comfortable. All the little attentions to detail were fantastic. We had our morning coffee out on the patio listening to the rooster and birds. The cottage was centrally located for many family activities in the area including numerous wineries and breweries. Knowing we have found a place we can stay so close to family here, we plan to get down more often. Thank you Claudia, for being so welcoming.

Perfect retreat for fans of both serenity and animals
The greenhouse located on a small family farm is such a treat. It felt very serene, private, safe, clean, and comfortable. It's a great jumping off point for visiting local wineries and breweries, hiking, and walking around downtown Purcellville. The best part about this rental is that it's located on an active farm with wonderful animals like cows, chickens, and very friendly kune kune pigs. I loved learning about them and spending time with them. The bed is incredible, I didn't want to leave. Hope you get to enjoy it too!

Quiet getaway
If you’re looking for no distraction and relaxing getaway this is for you. Studio cottage located on a quite farm is the way to go if you need to disconnect for a few days with your spouse/ partner. This location has Wi-Fi but no tv. The king size bed is very comfortable.

This is a great cottage in wine country. Perfection for me, my fiancé and pup. The fire pit was really enjoyable and relaxing. As was the yummy coffee k-cup options. Planning a trip again in the spring!

Best VRBO Experience Ever!
Claudia and her husband truly have a lovely property. The farm is beautiful and was such a relaxing environment. It was lovely to walk to the creek and interact with the livestock. The Greenhouse cottage was absolutely spotless and exactly as described. The bed was so comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was very fast. Claudia did an amazing job providing everything we’d need and more, from toiletries to snacks. It rained the night before and they even went out of their way to bring us dry firewood so we could use the fire pit while we were there. The check in/out was super easy and any time we had a question, Claudia responded very quickly. The drive to town was about 10 minutes and was beautiful. We had an amazing experience and will 100% be back!

A wonderful getaway!
This is the cutest little cottage with eveeything you need. Well stocked, eco-friendly products, great linens and superb comfort. The farm is wonderful and we enjoyed visiting the animals each day. Dog friendly and lots of space for walking the dog and humans. We will be back.

Cozy Get Away
We had a delightful, stress-free overnight stay on this little farmette. Everything was as advertised. My partner is 6'2 and had plenty of room everywhere. It was rainy and foggy, but we were warm and cozy. We didn't want to leave.

We loved staying at this tiny cottage with our Pomeranian while we visited family in Purcellville for the holidays. It was our first VRBO experience and we left very impressed. Record low temps had little effect on our cozy cottage and our pup settled in quickly and felt at home right away. He immediately found the dog toy and note left for him when we arrived! The well-equipped kitchen enabled us to prepare meals for ourselves and dishes to share with the family we visited. The owners responded immediately to any questions we had and we felt safe and relaxed staying on their adorable farm.

Birthday Getaway
My husband and I were looking for a romantic getaway for my birthday that was also pet friendly. The property had fun farm animals that you could interact with. The cottage titled greenhouse that we stayed in was cozy and warm, and the wifi was strong. The host really provided everything we would have ever needed. Cute, quaint, and fun!

A perfect getaway
I was looking for a getaway where I could work, enjoy the outdoors and rest. The location is a farm that is close to town. The cottage is well appointed and very comfortable. The internet is reliable and fast. The host is very attentive and all of my questions were answered quickly. I will be returning soon for another getaway. I highly recommend this cottage.

Quaint cottage in a serene setting
Its the perfect spot for a Middleburg retreat - close enough to town but secluded with historic buildings and plenty property to enjoy walking the hills and woods and apple orchard. There are 2 - one room cottages available on the property which is perfect if there are more to the group.

Perfect Peace
Perfect, clean little cottage to getaway from your worries. Owner goes out of her way to provide every amenity you could need. Thank you for the bamboo toothbrush as I forgot mine! Adorable pigs, we enjoyed an evening stroll to visit them and then enjoyed the goods we brought from town in the evening by the fire. Very peaceful, far enough away but close enough to downtown that we were able to ride our bikes.

My husband and I taught ourselves how to farm and homestead and now raise jersey cows, kune kune pigs and lots of chickens! I love the outdoors, crafting, reading, gardening and spending time with my family. I enjoy providing our guests a home away from home on our beautiful historic property.

Why they chose this property

This farm is located in the countryside of Northern Virginia. A true escape with so much history behind it! It was built in the late 1700s and has some original structures that we are planning to restore. There is a small winding creek that provides such a peaceful setting. The stables house several friendly animals that our guests can visit.

What makes this property unique

The amount of light that pours into the Greenhouse along with its high cathedral ceiling has always been my favorite feature of this cottage. I also love the cute white rocking bench that has such a nice view of the stables.
