Historic 1924 Bungalow home in the heart of the downtown New Smyrna Beach historic district with churches, parks, shops, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Private driveway and plenty of on street parking to accommodate everyone. Fenced in backyard and small front porch. Located on the North Causeway where public boat ramps and our beautiful beach with car and pedestrian access is straight east.
The space
A charming 1600 sq/ft Craftsman bungalow that is 99 years old. It has all the charm of old, including hardwood floors, high ceilings and plenty of natural light but with all of today’s comforts including newly remodeled bathrooms. You enter through a large open living room which leads to a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room behind that where you will find the back door access. Parallel to these room are the three bedrooms and two baths. The front bedroom has a queen bed, access to a small private sunroom and it has its own small bathroom. The hall bathroom is spacious and has a large shower with 2 shower heads. The middle bedroom has a king bed and the back bedroom has a queen. There is an outdoor table on the back patio that seats 5 and also has 5 Adirondack chairs to relax in. The washer/dryer is housed outside under the carport.
Guest access
You have the whole house to yourself. The door code will be provided the morning of your arrival. We are always available to answer questions and solve problems with a text or phone call and can typically get to the house within 15 minutes if necessary.
Other things to note
There’s a wonderful Farmers Market each Saturday morning just 2 blocks east in front of the Old Fort Park, from 7am to noon. Lots of local crafters, a few local farmers, food for sale and always music. It’s a nice stroll through the one block affair with plenty to see and choose from and it gives you a taste of the casual and eclectic NSB atmosphere. It’s definitely worth an hour of your time.
Canal Street is a treasure trove of visual enjoyment. The Hub on Canal St is a fabulous art venue filled with a wide variety of art mediums by local artists. There are lots of beautiful things to purchase and it’s free to explore. Jane’s Art Center on Magnolia is also a fun place to stroll through. Wild Oats and Billy Goats is just one of the fabulous shops to explore on Canal St., along with some great eateries from breakfast stops to sandwich shops and delicious dining restaurants as well as a brewery.
The 2nd Saturday of the month hosts an antique car show and the 3rd Thursday evening boasts outdoor shopping with some local crafters as well. NSB is always hosting fun events like Wine Walks, Jazz Fests, Flamingo Follies art shows, Food Trucks and more.
