In the heart of the Vulkaneifel, directly on the Vulcan path, part of the Eifelsteig, this holiday apartment with sauna and fitness room is located in Ellscheid. In the awareness of sustainability it was built entirely of wood in the attic. So you live in a natural living atmosphere with excellent ecological balance and benefits for your health.

The highlight of the apartment is the Sunset Lounge, which is decorated in an oriental style and has a 7 square meter modern sauna. The control of the sauna heater, the lighting and the music system for deep relaxation is child's play via a touchscreen display.

The apartment is ideal for 2 people. It comprises a bedroom, a bathroom with shower and toilet and a kitchen / dining area with a small kitchen. For emergencies there is a small bunk in the slope without a window for a wiry adult or 2 children, where a double bed is installed. Alternatively there is a sofa bed. When the weather is nice there is, in addition to the activities (hiking, bike tours), there is the possibility of sizzling his juicy steaks on the built-in swivel grill at the open fireplace of the property. In rainy weather we put the beer tables under the pavilion or, if it gets cold, we move the Oktoberfest to the Bavarian Brunnenstüberl. There is enough employment even in winter.

If you don't feel like cooking yourself (the kitchen is also not a cooking studio and is only intended for breakfast and smaller menus), you can use the Janshen country inn with an attached farm shop just 100 meters from the apartment. Except for Mondays (only Friday to Sunday in winter), there are dishes mainly from our own production in summer. After consultation, a rich breakfast is served there for the price of 13 euros. Everything else you need like e.g. B. Bakers, butchers and other groceries (Edeka) can be found in Gillenfeld, 3 km away.

In addition to the many hiking opportunities that are also interesting for runners, (the Antoniusweg goes right past the house) there are many sights see: www. Eifelyeti. jimdo. com which can be reached by car. The Pulvermaar, the deepest crater lake north of the Alps and the Mürmes nature reserve can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes. As an ambitious runner, I know some running routes that we can also explore in a group.
